  1. anyone else bored and finding it hard to even log in due to boredom? 4 x 50 and 2 of them full battlemaster.... beat all of the pve as well and i love the pve...they did an amazing job but ige has it right.... TOR = best "single" player mmo of all time.... but the massive multiplayer part is missing... I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOPE they give some reason to play and start updating as fast as rift did....star wars is amazing and the worlds were a dream come true.... lets get going though, dont give up on the fans... We need candy...if you give good pvp, and story ...fun cinemeatic story at a monthly rate you will succeeed..... suggest you also introduce a hybrid class for everyone that includes energy/force/ammo resupply..... maybe overhaul the operative/smuggler for this..... their ranged spec is a waste and relies on melee...so overhaul them to be a refresh type.... also you may want to rethink the 4 person group thing.... everyone, and i mean everyone thinks it was a horrid idea... too small and 16 man groups need reitemization.... 16 man is a waste of time, buggy and same exact drops as 8 man.... in fact the ratio of drops is even less making it a major waste of time.... and with no reward...why waste your time and 15 friends time ....go on 2 8 mans for same loot pool, better drop ratio, and quicker clear.
  2. ^ that and.... play selfish for numbers which does nothing for the team.... healing, guarding, objective holding wins games.... number people are wow players...do you want to be a wowtard? play your game and ignore the numbers....concentrate on the win. PS- i can get 300k easy sub 50 as dps... but getting 300k healing means more than some idiot farming dps numbers....thats true win, and what sucks is healers dont get the credit or mvp they deserve

  5. you do know tht people sometimes buy things and dont use them? I have many still packaged games... but also stores have copies on the shelf... wow had less than a million at the start..... this game got more than twice them.... yes this game has issues to work on but given time this game has the potential for years of success....stop trying to turn their positive news around and make BS.... Fact is they are being honest and look at eurpoean prime time servers...half of them are full becasue unlike americans they understand what a mmo means and how to enjoy something without crying about any little thing that pops up. that may seem insulting to some but a fact is a fact and many americans...yes americans have forgot what a mmo is.... A mmo is a video game that is massive multiplayer online, the pve in this game is amazing and the movie/cinematics is of the highest quality in 10 years! NO VIDEO GAME HAS HAD THIS MUCH LOVE PUT INTO ITS STORY! .... even after 10 years, ffxi still does not have a total cinematics time to the game as this has at release. Let them do their job, provide your suggestons and constructive bug reports....and enjoy your 15 bcks a month out of the MILLIONS put into this thing you take for granted. YES I HATE SOME BUGS...but I have also played mmo for 13 years now and understand how to work with it, give up on things until they are fixed and reroll until things are working again... PVP sucks... take it for what it is, find the fun in it or play another of the 16+ storylines... I say 16+ becasue there is 8 classes on each side, and light/dark as well as changes in choices all around like a pre 90's adventure novel. Honestly the devs should use an algorythm to check for QQ and move to the review forum for deletion while some poor soul has to check through every QQ thread for constructive comments to help fix things... END RANT ! PS-... Be thankful or do everyone who loves something a favor and keep your mouth shut.... you may have your things in life you like and you wouldnt like others bad mouthing it where you have to witness it. Negativity is a deadly psychological defect some are unable to overcome.... find the positive or do others a favor and dont post nonsense to take their eyes off the gold.

  7. same here. i have been posting for a month and called tech support, they ask for dxdiag from your pc and that they will get back to you... they never get back to you.... HORRIBLE SERVICE
  8. Be fair here.... PVE has its bugs but you have to admit that the story and the complexity of fights is at minimum a 9/10
  9. well there are two options that can be fixed easily.... make pvp stats only matter in pvp....and or remove the pvp only stats like expertise completely
  10. Yea but that comes across as a flame war section so we decided that the General area should be the best place for this, as it has many aspects to it throughout the game Thanks for your post. Server forums are up but they are on a alphabetic system. Hopefully soon they will add individual server forums (was hinted to it by a CSR droid in game the other day).
  11. Many players have expressed concern over the last few weeks that there is no real objective in PVP. This causes problems becasue that leaves the only reason to play the game at 50 to gear grind or grief other players without any ranking system. Also there is no point in playing past 60 valor when you get battlemaster other than to do dailies for a chance at loot. When can we expect a purpose to be implemented in game for PVP? Will we begin to see gear requirements for valor gear other than to be 60 valor or 50 lvl? Suggestions would be that as you level valor you are able to equip gear, this means that when you hit level 40 you may begin to wear centurion gear at level incriments. Hands at 40, bracers 41, feet 42, legs 43, etc... and then champion at 50-51-52-etc...and battlemaster at 60-61-62-63-etc... Thus giving reason to level and making players further earn the right to wear pvp gear obtained. Suggestions for open world pvp would be obtaining all 5 points in the zone gives the entire realm a exp/valor bonus of say 15% or access to a specific dungeon. While this may prove troublesome for the unpopulated republic side of the game, you can recruit more republics by giving them a standard 15% leveling bonus for 2 weeks. What this will do is bring more players to their side in a hurry to get an advantage on leveling their toons that they will eventually want to use anyways. While they level they may fall in love with that side or make good friends and stay there. Since BioWare took over EA/Mythic's moderation of Warhammer, many SWTOR players expected that there would be similar RVR/PVP objectives as found in warhammer. Many have been let down by the lack of reason to play the game at 50 other than gear grind. We would suggest that a major patch be implemented to give reason, be it a copy of their system in which EA owns the rights to, or a completely new and interesting system of open world PVP. I am sure that you want to keep this game going for years to come and attract/retain players, but with the current system, you are losing players fast out of bordom. It may prove valueable to the BioWare team to have a podcast Q&A session with its customers again like the one made before release through BestBuy. While that session was a horrible mess due to BestBuy's servers being unable to support the masses... You could have a on your website session where players can interact with the dev's. or you could place an in game questionaire for people to comment to, and then have a team review the suggestions. If you were to do a questionaire for feedback, you could advertise it by server message, and then collect the data on a Sunday night, go over the data throughout the following week...gathering information, questions, comments, concerns and on Friday call a staff meeting to discuss the furture and how to retain your playerbase. While many players all want their class to be better than the rest for personal selfish reasons of being king, we all know that the health of the game requires fair play and a semi-level playing field. Classes seem to be about perfect across the board right now which is good, but the addition of objectives and as promised new warzones stands to be seen. Questionaire good? Bad?

  14. ITs all good man, its a team game and dmg/kills doesnt always win, there is always the need for a person to arm or run the ball.
  15. objective is currently not working properly so it can mostly be ignored. Ball scoreing, passing and arming are not counting as they should. Only offensive and defensive attacks which are easily exploited by passing to the other team make the objective points laughable
  16. not true... but if you are doing 50,000 damage per kill than something is not right with your style and you should notice off the bat that a healer needs to be focused or CC'd before you burst the first target down. Also stat padding like standing in acid to pad someones healing or guard isnt pro and it shows not only when you see them do it but in the scoreboard when those two players stand out without any other stats to back up their numbers A couple good links so far everyone
  17. very true :0 you need a good balance and if the ratios is not right than padding most likely aoccured or you did not have quality dmg/healing. 400k is nothing if you get 10 kills...

Killing blows means nothing as well if you take a look at the scoreboard after a good match.... total the killing blows and compare it to the kills.... you will find that killing blows get counted twice and sometimes up to four times depending on who hit a player during the last second of life. ITs broke but in the list of todo by developers.
  19. True objective points matter but they are currently broken and easily exploited so no one really cares about them at the moment. Most MVP goes to healers since they get the least usually when doing their job right.
  20. Ya ... teamwork needs to be part of our community. WoW ruined real teamwork in PVP and gave people 1337 fame for high nunmbers. Numbers mean nothing if you arent a team and dont win. Also numbers mean nothing if you do not have a good ratio across the board. Kills : DMG : Heals ... all go into the ratio. We have the right CC in this game to lock people, so it shocks me that people claim fame with 400k dmg or 700k healing, but the team kills are about 12. Shows that no teamwork went in place, and over the time, people also did not get quality heals.. they simply beat on someoen that was healed instead of killing or ccing the healer, and getting both kills to move on to the next. Also the win is important. You can get 500k DMG 100 kills and 750k healing on a team but lose. That one ball runner or door armer who gets 25k dmg is key to the team becasue they ran or armed while the team covered them. Guard is another aspect and the one number I have not seen toped is 300k guard except by people exploiting acid in huttball. A good defender will stop the ball or arming without wasintg energy, and keep his team guarded while changing his guarded target to suit his/her teams needs

  22. Yall coming from WoW seem to think that numbers is what matters.... if your damage in that warzone was so amazing...than why was your kill count at 12? If your healing was so amazing than why was your teams kill count so low? Padding numbers is meaningless and real 1337's will see right through your little numbers game. Here is the challenge... Show me screenshots where you have damage that properly goes along with kills. Grading scale is on Kill : DMG : Heal ratio scale... scale must work or either you padded your dmg/heals ... yes if there are massive heals on the other team you need to have skill to work around it...so thats not an excuse with all the CC tools we have in this game. High kills High Dmg High heals This means that HP at 50 is average 14-25k, where you also help your team for other kills. If you want to be 1337, than get your kill count to 50+ in a single warzone. Thats teamwork and true stompage. For healers... your healing means nothing if you lose the match and if your team wastes time getting beat on without kills. First up: Great screenshot and team you have, and grats on being the first to post something without trying to rage insult or claim that my theory is wrong. that is 1337 teamwork there.
  23. nope valor means nothing since a couple hundred thousand exploited it in a day to get what took weeks for others to farm ya a wipe for season 1 ranking is fair and i have 45 and 51 on my 2 toons
  24. The newest video on PVP mentions rankings. Since the 1.1 update ruined valor and what it meant to hundreds of thousands of players... by allowing others to exploit and gain in a single day what took weeks to gain... the rankings system should come with a wipe to the entire valor system... Valor as of now is meaningless.... but with rankings should come seasons like in other pvp games... so you can justify a wipe and a fresh start for everyone for valor. Until then you can keep it as is and tell players that their commondations will not disappear. Should we have a wipe of valor at the start of rankings so everyone can be fair with no exploiting this time? 1. Yes - vote 5 stars for thread 2. No - vote 1 star for thread.
