  1. Looking to purchase a relaxed vestments bootsx1 Paying pretty well: Send tells to Skotah'Kad imperial side. Thank you for your time. Just need one pair of boots now!
  2. "Quote: Originally Posted by ManiacDavis View Post PvE content can feed a game for a day. PvP content can feed a game for a lifetime." Slightly wrong here: PvE Content can feed a game for a week PvP Content will feed a game until the mass morons with dreams of supremacy are filled with the taste of bitter defeat at the hands of better PvPers (then the bad PvPers will blame the game mechanics/hacking/etc and swap to games with 'better balance' instead of just admitting they suck. And they'll rinse and repeat until they go back to their mundane games: Mainly WoW. I wish this process was a LOT faster. I hate PvP morons.) RP Content will feed a game until it dies a slow, painful death (Star Wars Galaxies is a prime example)
  3. Great vid, it was good fun to watch, enjoyed the soundtrack as well. However, nearly everyone that was faced off against had 16k or less hps and as soon as you faced off against someone with greater hps, it flipped to another vid of you slaughtering the 16k or less hps. Hardly sporting.

It's also nice when you ask someone information on a better rotation... and they respond with 'I don't know... I just run a macro program that does it for me. Go to this site to dl it' Do you understand that these aren't macros from Rifts or WoW. These are extremely intelligent programs scripts that require a third party program just to run them.

It does indeed give a player a massive advantage: There are many skills that are OFF GCD, meaning they can be used while the GCD is still in process. Not to mention that any pvp'er worth a grain of salt is constantly (or near-constantly) on the move. That moment it takes to glance at your buffs can allow the enemy to get way out of range when you're melee. A script (as complex as they are these days) will make you spam only a single button and it'll do the rest. Example; Cast overload saber [no active] at the same time as it 1) checks for debuffs on the opponent, checks your focus meter, and your enemy, plus the rest of your buffs their buffs and debuffs and executes a proper attack. And let me tell you... they are EXTREMELY effective. 100% of the time, without fail, it will execute the absolute most devistating attack with all things taken into consideration without human error (aside from positioning). Period. You position, spam your #1 button. That's it.

There are guilds on my server (of whom I know many people), whose players will openly admit to using these tools in TS/Mumble and will highly encourage others to download them as well (as well as providing links). It exists, it's rampant.
  8. They've already got that: It's a buff called 'Bolster'. It makes a newb's skills VERY potent the less skills they have. It increases the ammount of damage each skill does to make up for the lack of available skills and talent points. It provides a less substantial buff the higher level the toon.
  9. Aye, those are some decent gaps of gear, BUT any PvP'er worth a grain of salt will have a a fulls et of lvl 40 gear for himself and 2-3 companions. Will have TONS of Warzone comms stacked up, and knows it's pretty stupid to go into a WZ at 50 in FULL recruit gear (I've done it, it works and can be done... you just gotta be smart). They'll more than likely have a BM Mainhand and 4/5 BM a couple games after reaching 50 (or a WH mainhand and a couple pieces of BM gear). You normally swap out the Recruit bracers, belt, and weapons in order to roll with PvE modded peices. Recruit is HEAVY on Expertise and very low on stats. Also, to fix the gap in gear, 50's will obtain a free set of BM gear, much as they did the recruit gear (1.6). WH gear isn't a huge gap, and EWH gear is even a lesser gap from WH.
  10. I can agree and disagree. People should be able to gear out their toons extremely well. Problem is; they're exploiting a system that wasn't meant to be exploited; ie staying at the same level (ANY level) perpetually is breaking game mechanics. They do at lower levels just like at level 49 so it's another way for them to twink and actually get more out of it. Here's an example of how this exactly works: Level 40 toon, wearing only four pieces of gear (Helm, Boots, Dual blasters) all level 40 modded with blues Health: 8624 Armor: 744 Damage Reduction: 10% Defense Chance: 5.0% Dmg Primary: 371-558 Dmg Secondary: 65-121 Damage Bonus: 153.7 Accuracy: 95.15% Crit: 22.08% Crit Multiplier: 55.07% Now with 4 Purples replacing the blues. Level 29 mods Health: 9565 Armor: 968 Same DR/DC Damage (Pri): 411-619 Damage (Sec): 65-121 Same Acc Crit: 25.22% Crit Multiplier: Same FULL level 29 pruple gear: Modded bracers and belt as well. VS (blues) In order to do this, you must remove said mod from the cartel market gear (like most purple gear), the rating of the mod is higher than the equip level, thus giving you an even larger boost (Gear requires lvl 31, the mods are lvl 29 [Rated at 30]. Again, most purple gear is like this) Health: 17515 (12258) Armor: 5699 (4325) Dmg Reduc: 46% (33.4%) Same DC Damage 705-1020 (464-551) Dmg 2ndary: Same Bonus Damage: 396 (146.8) Crit Chance: 35.55% (30.03) Crit Multiplier: 75.01% (57.05%) As you can see, the gains are really massive. (edited for spelling)
  11. Another major problem isn't that they're twinking at 49. Really, the bolster buff is so broken if you twink at lower levels, your skills hit even harder (It's designed to make up for the lack of utility/spec options at lower levels by making the few skills you do have access to, hit even harder! Thus why opting out of chosing an advanced class for a particular amount of time makes you extremely scary). We've got a group of 2 twink-sins an OP, and a jugg that run around at level 21. They've been there for about a week and a half. They're actually nastier than the 49's. A 4-man sorc team, same thing (They've been around for about 3 weeks, but I have rarely seen them in the past week. Still the same level though): They spam force lightning (Does about 1k a tick on you) the entire game, walk away with 350k'ish damage done in the WZ about 175k healing done. Dominate everyone. The level 31 modded gear from the Cartel Market has made the 31's a nightmare. They'll stay at 31 for weeks, you'll get into back to back to back games vs those players and while you're leveling up - They're not.
  12. I PvP 16+ hours a day on my server. You're right. It's getting so very very common. It's literally happening every other game, there's are least 3 twinks inside (18k sins that hit for 5k a pop. 19k PT's that kill you two shots. Vice versa for imperial side. Pubs do it as well). Gear is part of the game, sure, but so is skill. Level 49's that continuously drop games so they don't hit 50 are doing nothing but griefing. They get nothing aside from the satisfaction of dominating lesser geared people who don't really stand a chance. Worse is when they roll a 4+-man team (you can literally run with 8 if you synch que). Before you start screaming 'You're a nub! Gear up!' I have. I leveled 9 level 50's. I did the BM gear grind on TWO toons before they made it easysauce. I also had two toons in champ/cent gear. The rest: Full BM. I've seen what the 50 bracket is like in recruit gear (4 toons: Op, Guard, Merc, Mara.), and I still did well in it. Any BM geared toon I jump in with, I can still do extremely well vs people in WH gear. I have a fighting chance. 'Breaking' the Bolster buff by modding out the way they do is just pathetic. The worst is when they're running around ~lvl 10-18 WITHOUT an Advanced class. Don't believe me? Try it yourself. A total of ~20k damage with a single master strike is a bit scary and broken. I, myself, have tested this stuff. I threw entirely purple mods and gear on my guard at level 49 (I can afford what I can't get, but doing dailies I can mod an entire set of gear over the course of 5 days. It takes me MAYBE 30mins to do said dailies each day. I can make TONS of money selling these mods as well. It's not in my best interest that this stops. BUT, I can see new players, f2p players, and veteran players alike leaving this game because of this crap). I rolled half-defense, half-focus. Sat in Soresu form. My smashes were still netting 5k and I was literally unkillable. Thing is: I leveled up.
  13. Yeah, and as an avid role-player, the social items are what helps make games like these a great platform to RP in. I know of a TON of RP'ers that are most annoyed of the lack of social items that crossed over from beta.
  14. Yes, but sadly, it'll not untrain the skill. It'll drop it to 0 and will say: Invalid skill and will not vanish. You'll lose all your missions and cannot train another skill, since the icon remains. I've tried logging, reloading the UI and placing tickets... all to no avail. It's broken. Thank you for trying to help me though
  15. Bioware, I played during many of the beta tests and had noticed that in the social items vendors, there was clothing for both male and female, as well as light, medium and heavy social item choices. What happened to those options? Where did they all go? I personally liked the ability to purchase imperial/republic armor sets and mod them with my crew skills. Why are they all gone now, except some choice items of light armor? I'm really quite annoyed at seeing those in light armor, running around in fully modded social clothing, when I (who wears heavy) do not have that option. I upgrade my gear as soon as I can, at every chance to keep the best stats I can... However, most times I look like a xmas tree with multiple colors, and am almost exclusively only able to change the mods into my chest armor. Also, what happened to all the really nice goodies from the special vendors? Where did the replacement pre-order crystal vendor vanish to as well? These are some things that really need some repairs, desperately.. as well as being able to untrain crew skills.
