  1. similarly, some schematics when crafted require you to simultaneously have both Armormech 440 AND advanced synthweaving to RE. -> That's not possible in any way. http://i47.tinypic.com/i5438l.jpg Note: Armormech is at 450, crafted by the person trying to RE, requires armormech 450 and advanced synthweaving!
  2. My question is this: What's with everything being duck related? Shouldn't you be getting all your Jawas in a row? I've never seen a duck round these parts till you showed up.
  3. If this whole 3 character thing really helps your ridiculous database be more efficient, force any search to have a 3 letter string, perform that search, then allow refinement with a shorter string. you've already culled the database. e.g. if a search for "res" is allowed (and it is) then your database can certainly permit a search for "res" then a search of those results for "27" since you've already limited the search.... Fine, dont allow a search for just "27" or "A".... but allow us to search for "potent 27" it's just like a search for "potent" but you give us fewer results with a simple logical 'AND'.
  4. As has been said repeatedly in this thread, this change is utterly ridiculous. When the vast majority of items are distinguished only by a 1 or 2 digit number, the inability to filter by one of the most important criteria is asinine. There exists no way to distinguish between lvl 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 (and moving forward presumably even higher) itmes, since they all require lvl 50 and are purple. You guys are the ones that made the items have identical names, for heavens sake. If players were able to arbitrarily name items, I can see how some kind of minimum search term size might make sense, but, since the naming scheme was also made by you guys, this change is utterly absurd. Thanks. I sure wanted to have to use the item level filter, the item quality filter and the string "Agile Mod" to then have to manually go though hundreds of results for Advanced Agile Mod 22 Advanced Agile Mod 22A Advanced Agile Mod 22B Advanced Agile Mod 23 Advanced Agile Mod 23A Advanced Agile Mod 23B Advanced Agile Mod 24 Advanced Agile Mod 24A Advanced Agile Mod 24B Advanced Agile Mod 25 Advanced Agile Mod 25A Advanced Agile Mod 25B Advanced Agile Mod 26 Advanced Agile Mod 26A Advanced Agile Mod 26B Advanced Agile Mod 27 Advanced Agile Mod 27A Advanced Agile Mod 27B when formerly I could have gone uniquely straight to the item I wanted with only "agi 27" If that's not one of the worst "upgrades" of all time, I don't know what is. Either put it back or give us a field that actually searches the item for that level. This system is completely broken for all post 50 gear.
  5. Not sure if it has been mentioned, but if you disconnect and rejoin your group that is part way through a flashpoint, even if 0 mobs were killed in the meantime, you no longer receive the black-hole comms from the daily mission. This has happened to me all 5 times I have tried the groupfinder. (yes my internet was spotty). Until I see a pach note about this issue, I'm not using the groupfinder again. 5 completely useless runs though HM FPs with noobs and no usable reward is enough punishment.
  6. thanks for the breakdown on how many servers are remaining! Gives me some hope.
  7. Not just the lowest pop servers. The Shadowlands was the 3rd largest East Coast PVE server (well, it still is, I guess) and it hasn't been up for transfer yet. I think at this point that even if they send all the rest of the PVE servers here we'll still be behind the Jedi Covenenat and Canderous Ordo - we'll continue being 3rd (and behind by a lot) or we'll be sent to JC or CO last and be left with names like Xrtxzczvsd. I'm so pleased with this transfer so far.
  8. I'm also on the shadowlands, and I'm disappointed too. we were the third most populated, and it's looking like that's a death sentence. we're populated enough to be a "low priority" but not big enough to be a destination. We'll probably be one of the last servers transferred. welcome to having a name like "Bxji'tre'fc-es" because every other conceivable combination of letters has been taken.
  9. I'm just sad that it looks like being the 3rd most populated pve server is going to be bad luck (The Shadowlands). It's looking like we'll be moved to one of the 2 most populated, but we'll probably be last (since we're a low priority) but that'll also mean we're last to get our names. bummer. I really thought we'd be a destination server.
  10. Why is storymode denova lumped in with storymode KP and EV? Story denova is closer to nightmare KP and EV in difficulty and gear required - I cannot imagine successfully PUGing a storymode Denova. The "tank" will show up with lvl 47 greens and get 1 shotted. While KP and EV can be done with a group in blue gear, denova needs a mix of columi and rakata - there shuold be a tier-2 of operations just like you have for flashpoints.
  11. Though I'm glad to see posts on the dev tracker again, I can't help but notice that we almost never get actual dev posts anymore. Georg for example used to be one of the most vocal devs, but hasn't been heard from at all since April. Was he silenced? Was he a part of the layoffs? Why do we only get posts from the community team?
  12. The itemization of end game gear continues to be ridiculous. My stealth-spec operative has a choice between accuracy and alacrity gear. Accuracy is nealy useless since all my attacks are tech and have 100% anyway, and Alacrity is even more useless since ALL my attacks (except orbital strike:rolleyes:) are instant attacks. They are held back by only the GCD or their own cooldowns, neither of which are affected by alacrity. Effictively the stats worth adding are crit, surge, and power. Why is there not a single piece of battlemaster agent gear with crit/surge or crit/power or power/surge? The only way to get reasonable stats as an agent is to repeatedly buy the same pair of War Hero Field Medic's Gloves to strip the mods for use in all the other slots. This is 7000 comms x 6 plus the cost of getting the battlemaster and warhero gear for the slot in question (98000 comms) another time for the armoring alone since the mod and enhance slots are useless. This boils down to a 50% tax because the stats provided on 11/12 of the moddable slots are terrible. When will gear with reasonable stats come out? with Tier 5? Longer still? Never? Is this an effort to deliberately reduce agent DPS effectiveness? Why do these sets have over 400 alacrity or accuracy? These are ridiculously useless.
  13. I'm on the Shadowlands which is the 13th biggest. We used to typically have ~100 people in fleet even at pretty weird times as of last week. it was down to ~25 at 11pm. that's a 75% drop. This is getting crazy. WZs are slow but still popping. I cant imagine being on an average or below average server. Sure hope they get those server transfers in soon and that they're free.
  14. I cant speak to builds or even to assassins in general, (my Inquisitor is a sorc) but a substantial difference in expertise is huge. In my pvp gear, I get a 22.85% increase in outgoing damage, 18.6% reduction in damage taken, and 12.63% more healing. If 2 players of identical skill, rotations, gear( excluding expertise) were to do "10k" damage to each other, the one in pvp gear would have done 12285 damage, and received only 8140. -> that's a 51% advantage before healing is taken into account. There's a reason geared, experienced pvpers hate it when they get teamed with noobs in pve gear. They are a huge burden on the team. When you add experience itself to expertise, the gap widens even more.
  15. That's because there isn't any difficult content to use a companion with. It doesn't change the fact that he's broken and statistically inferior to all other thanks in the game.
  16. Well, threads about this have been made since beta. I've asked in most of the weekly Q/A, I've also asked on twitter. They've never acknowledged it officially. Xalek's shield and absorb ratings are not improved with shield and absorb stats. Here's a bunch of info I've typed up and put out there multiple times. http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/2791/xalekbugged.jpg The numbers below are based upon my gearing of Khem and Xalek a while ago. This is also with me stripping out some of his purple lvl 56 enhancements in favor of blue 49 since the worse ones had defense (which is his only usable stat) instead of shield/absorb. - point being, the difference would be even bigger if I hadn't customized his gear. Numbers follow: Xalek's Shield generator absorption is 20% regardless of gear Tooltip even says "Absorption rating (240) +0.00%" In contrast Khem Val gets a 10.59% increase for having an absorption rating of 106 (going from 20 to 30.59% Shield rating itself Khem for example is at 33.31% from a base of 5% + 20% from skills and an additional 8.31% from his shield rating of 144. Meanwhile, Xalek is at a flat 25% (5% base 20% skill) regardless of his gear's shield rating. Khem has a 29.94% damage reduction from his heavy armor while Xalek has only 24.05% from light armor (including the skill to buff it by 42%) So with roughly equal gear (mostly Tier 2) Khem has ~24.5% (29.94/24.05) more damage reduction, 33.2% (33.31/25) better chance to shield an attack, and 53% (30.59/20) more absorption of the shielded attack. The only thing in Xalek's favor is 1200 more health (only ~6.5%) He's statistically vastly inferior as a tank.
  17. "Fix" him? Do tell how you can get him to use his shield and absorb ratings. Please, I'd love to know.
  18. No, that note refers to fixing a bug they introduced in 1.2 where every time a companion was summoned (elevator, speeder, zoning, etc) they lost the stats from the earpiece and implants. You had to unequip all 3 pieces and reequip them every time your companion appeared. They still haven't actually admitted that Xalek is bugged. It's frankly ridiculous.
  19. I wouldn't say I have "trouble" with him, since there isn't really any "challenging" pve content to take him on, but I wrote this up a few months ago based on my gear then. Also note that this is with me stripping out some of his purple lvl 56 enhancements in favor of blue 49 since the worse ones had defense (which is his only usable stat) instead of shield/absorb. - point being, the difference would be even bigger if I hadn't customized his gear. 20. It's been an issue since beta. They've never made a statement about it being intended or unintended. It is not on the known issues thread. I've tried putting it in for the weekly Q/A thing and asking on twitter as well. They REALLY don't want to answer us on this.
  21. Really? are you sure? You would be the only known person with a non-bugged Xalek. http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/2791/xalekbugged.jpg He's not wearing the same gear as when I ran those numbers, but you can clearly see that he is stuck at the same 25 shield 20 absorb he would be at if he were naked (in tank stance) even though he's in T2 and T3 lvl 50 gear. note the 315 absorb giving him a bonus of 0.
  22. Yea, Xalek's bug is that no matter how much Shield or Absorb rating the gear you give him has, it doesn't improve. He's the only such bugged companion in the game. The numbers below are based upon my gearing of Khem and Xalek a while ago. This is also with me stripping out some of his purple lvl 56 enhancements in favor of blue 49 since the worse ones had defense (which is his only usable stat) instead of shield/absorb. - point being, the difference would be even bigger if I hadn't customized his gear. 23. Ah, yes, I'm referencing the fact that the devs mentioned that eventually we'll be able to add an augment to existing armor. (I'm guessing 1.4 maybe)
