  1. The valor level cap is removed once you hit 50 Also I have been doing this with my first alt (a Jugg) while casually questing/keeping up with story, and my valor level is slightly behind my actual level so this has been working out great. At level 30 though I have noticed that the expierience gain from WZ's has slowed quite a bit so I will probably have to start doing a few more side quests here and there.

    PVP healing

I will be very, very disappointed if this is not fixed with tonight's maintenance.
  3. I also have this problem, and as a healer this is frustrating to the point of avoiding warzones. Sometimes reloading the UI will temporarily fix this but it doesn't last long and the frames freeze up again. So far warzones are the only place I've had this occur. I have healed two world boss kills (in Ops groups) with no problems seeing health bars.
  4. Yep just bought this one, level 39 req.
  5. I just recieved the legendary Modified DTB-27 Bolt Pistol from the Bounty Hunter class quest on Hoth (I can't remember the quest name but its when you talk to Blizz in his cage the second time) and the base damage seems to be bugged. The torhead tooltip has it at 106-197 energy damage and the in-game tooltip has it at much less (again dont remember exact numbers, something like 12-20 energy damage). I thought this might be just a typo or tooltip error but when I equip it my base damage stat on the character screen also drops way down. I didn't have time to actually test it out on some mobs to see if it really was doing that much less damage. As of this post I have not added any mods to the open slots (but I don't believe mods affect base damage anyway, correct me if I am wrong). Let me know if anyone else is seeing this or knows what's going on with it. I want to use this awesome blaster!
  6. My only request is for a target of target frame, I noticed this was abscent immediately when I joined a group for the first time. Personal meters would be nice, but not 100% nessesary.
  7. I have recent hit level 40 on my bodyguard merc and have been enjoying it very much. With all my talent points in the bodyguard tree I am probably lacking a little bit of exta dps while questing but using Gualt or Torian works out great. I have (solo) healed every flashpoint up through Foundry with no issues at all. It really is all about heat management. I have played a few other MMOs (and a LOT of WoW) and the heat system is unlike any resource I have used to heal with; and DOES TAKE TIME AND PRACTICE to get used to. But once you get the hang of heat management and get abilities like Supercharged Gas and Kolto Shell healing as a bodyguard is very engaging and fun (my opinion of course). *NOTE: this is the only character I have played thus far so I can't really comment on comparisons to scorscer or operative healing. Bodyguard DPS A friend I play with a lot is an Imperial Agent Operative healer and when running FPs together I usually let him main heal (as I am a few levels higher) and help out if needed (which is usually unessesary). Although it would be nice to have a meter of some kind to support this, but it seems that bodyguards can do a fair amount of dps in flashpoints if needed, mainly though the use of Supercharged Gas and Power Shot/Unload. *NOTE: In no way am I recommending bodyguard as a straight dps spec, mearly stating that bodyguard is not completely useless as a dps. Last night a few guildies and a few PUGs (8man group) killed the Ancient One (a Taris world boss) with myself and my operative friend healing and niether of us had any problems keeping the group healed. If you are looking for a WoW comparison I would say bodyguard is most similar to a holy paladin, in that your main heals are cast (activation) time abilities forcing you to remain stationary. But that is as far as I will go with similarities since as stated earlier the heat system is quite unlike mana. *EDIT: also similar in that a bodyguard, while capable of solo healing smaller groups (i.e. flashpoints) are very stong single target healers. I highly recommend playing a bodyguard for anyone looking for an unique and engaging healer expierience in this wonderful game. Cheers!
