If you were still in game, you could have (I believe) bought it back from the vendor. If you've logged out from when you sold it, it might be gone for that character. I'd contact Customer Services in game and see if there's anything they can do.

Personally, I would roll on a non-PvP server to start with and learn the game and how it works. When you're more comfortasble with it and you feel you want to go to PvP, do so but I wouldn't rush in to it. This is my opinion (and I'm not a PvPer so my opinion may not be valid anyway ) Either way, welcome to SW:TOR and enjoy the game!

By default TAB cycles through your enemies and I believe CTRL + TAB picks nearest enemy. You can redefine these keys in the preferences UI in game. There asre also key binds for selecting companions/team mates and so on but can't remember those off the top of my head.
