Swtor is not a big kid on the block. Its not anywhere close. It had a good playerbase the first 2 months, but people got tired of fps issues, bugs everywhere and nothing to do endgame. The patch is too late. EA rushed this game out too soon, it wasnt done on release. Just look at the Ilum failure. Swtor will be free to play in about a year. And even then, not alot of people will play it.

20 - 25 people on imperial fleet in prime time on my servers where i have characters. But, according to the other players in this thread, i am wrong and the population is fine. Nothing to see here.

Wow is the yardstick. Rift was compared to wow. Swtor is being compared to wow. Thats just how it is. People come from wow and expect something better.

Seriously, has noone else noticed this? To really notice what i mean, try starting another game with a similar viewpoint, third person. Scan around with the camera for a while, then try with SWTOR.

When i move my viewcam around, and stop moving my mouse, the viewcam still moves for about half a second after i stop moving my mouse. I dont know how to best describe it, but if you log in, press mouse 2, move your camera around, stop moving your mouse, you'll see your camera move a little extra, then stop. Does anyone know how to disable this? SERIOUSLY annoying!

The difference is in the bandwidth of the cable. You will not notice a difference in picture quality.

I know this. The average monitor of today has crap resolution. That includes computer monitors which generally run 1920x1080, or 1920x1200. We've been stuck on this resolution for far too long now. As i said, TVs have crap resolution.

TVs have crap resolutions, so yeah, it'll run fine.

This isnt the real world. This is a game where a system can be implemented that rewards people who put in the time. What we have now is a really bad RNG system.

I am completely fine with time sinks. I grinded rank 14 in vanilla wow, and grinded to level 220 in Adonis on snowspot in anarchy online, dont come here and talk about grinds and timesinks to me. What i am trying to communicate to you, which you dont seem to understand, is that this is the equivalent of my friend getting rank 14 in 1 month, instead of the 6 months i spent grinding because of a RNG system.

This is the very reason i cancelled my account. I got to rank 35 and all i have to show for it is a shield generator, and 5 implants. Yeah my companions are decked with implants. A RL friend of mine is rank 18 or something and he has 4 pieces of real gear and mainhand lightsaber. That means he has the set bonus etc etc. He did less than i did. I deserve the gear more than he does. Its that simple.

Wow is not grindy. Anarchy Online is grindy.

Can anyone link to the source of the claimed changes to #5? I also cancelled my account over this poor excuse for a reward system that doesnt actually reward hard work.

From what i can see, only 4% of the server will be "done".

To me, it seems like you are the one who is trying to bring the game down, being content with its current state. The other people who have something to say about the status of the game are actually making a difference by hurting BW where it counts, their cashflow. BW will notice that they cant make people stick to the game, so they will improve it. But with you, they can do whatever they want because you're like a drone.

Fact of the matter is, this is a wow competitor. It doesnt matter if you think its fair to compare it to wow or not, that is what people is going to do, and they will find that swtor is not coming out ahead. If this game had come out at the same time as wow in 2004, we could compare it to the 2004 wow. But it didnt. It came out in 2011, and its going to be compared to the 2011 wow. Sad but true.

I have a 486 DX2 66 mhz and it never runs over 20c
