  1. Same. Will they update this thread when they fix it?
  2. Here is their Twitter feed.: We should probably ALL ask them why they are illegally claiming copyrights.
  3. Using it defensively and sitting in it is basically doing it wrong. You need to be dropping it where the opponent will be or moving it and blocking access to key areas. For example at mid in Civil War if it is on the stairs no stealth is coming up there. In Novare Coast you need to be dropping it on bunkers so no one can stealth cap. Use your head about where and when you drop it.
  4. It may have been removed. http://www.tor-loot.com/Loot/Zone/8
  5. Here is a video of a Powertech Tank completing it with Mako.
  6. You gonna link your spec or just keep it secret?
  7. Yeah, I have a Guardian that I tank with in PvP. I wanted a different class for my Empire character. I'm starting to regret it. I really WANT there to be a viable AP spec that can run Ion Gas Cylinder but IGC has really terrible synergy outside of the shield tech tree.
  8. So, is there not one or am I missing something really obvious?
  9. 1. How do you think your Powertech spec is perceived by other classes? 2. How do you perceive your own spec? 1. Solid Tank in PvE. Weakest tank in PvP 2. I really enjoy PvE tanking with Powertech. I'd like to see an AoE snare and/or AoE mezz in the shield tech tree for PvP. It is a big loss to PvP utility compared to the other tanks. An addition to the flame surge talent could be a good place for it. I PvP tanked a lot as a Guardian and I really miss the ability to effectively hybrid spec for PvP tanking. I think the tanking cylinder probably needs a buff to make PvP tanking more effective or some of the talents in the Shield tech tree need to be cheaper so that you can pick up more PvP AND PvE talents in that tree.
  10. Is there any viable hybrid that doesn't use CGC? I am looking for something like a vig/def Guardian Build that allowed me to Guard PuG healers and still do enough DPS to actually peel. Most of the 1.3 Hybrids I see use Combustible gas and don't run a shield generator. So is there no good tank Hybrid?
  11. I'm coming from a 50 Guardian so some of the lower level mechanics are very frustrating to me. What do you guys do to get initial aggro in FPs? I feel silly just walking into packs and flame sweeping but I don't know what else to do.
  12. I swear I've heard Mercs giggle occasionally.
  13. Cool changes for PvE. Horrible changes for PvP. Guardians were already the lowest DPS tank in PvP.
  14. I actually love Guardian and wouldn't want anything else to be my main but you can't say it is straightforward compared to other DPS classes unless you haven't played them. Seriously, Trace Missile?
  15. Another thing. Do you have any idea how few other classes have to regularly use their base "free" skill wihtout having any other benefit attached to it as you level? Being level 50 and still having to use my unimproved and uninteresting first skill is just dumb. There is no reason that Sunder Armor and Strike couldn't be combined through talents or as you level. Master Strike is another great example of a skill with no synergy. It is a great DPS skill as long as you don't have to move but why can't it do something to our mechanics? Like add sunders or generate Singularity or generate focus? It doesn't fit well in rotations and like a lot of other skills it feels tacked on. Then there is Force Push. One of the best skills we have but with a totally inappropriate cool down. which the devs obviously know because the DEEP defense tree has a skill that does nothing but lower the cool down of Force Push. Command is one of the weakest tier 5 skills in the game. I'd happily accept some damage nerfs to a couple of these skills just to make my life of managing cool downs a little nicer.
  16. I think Guardian's and Sentinels to an extent have been shafted but not in the way most people think. Both classes but Guardian especially due to the lack of offensive cool downs and longer defensive cool downs have been shafted by their core design. They are way too complicated. In particular Guardians in DPS spec have too many skills and they are all on different cool downs. It is just a clunky gameplay style. Have you seen videos of other DPS classes or played any at a high level? The sheer number of buttons that we have to press combined with the staggered and unhelpful cool downs makes the the thresh hold of success very high and then any change int he fight or movement or time off DPS that doesn't mesh with a cool down can totally blow your rotation and drop DPS dramatically. I think we could keep the class complicated enough to satisfy players that like the current style but still improve things a lot just by bringing cool downs in line. The most obvious is that Saber Throw should have the same cool down as Force Leap. You essentially need to get both off to have enough focus to start a good rotation but if you use Saber Throw right before you have to move for a fight or any other reason it is not available when you have to get back on target so you are forced to start with less focus.

    Resolve Redux

But the option you seem to propose is even less fun. In your version everyone is immune to snares and stuns most of the time. In objective based PvP that means whoever caps first will win. In duels it is purely a gear dependent DPS race. That is less fun to more people than a tactics driven system where you can affect control of the game field.
  18. It is up to you. I wear 4 pieces of Vindicator for the set bonuses. The 2-piece bonus in particular is nice. Like everything else I think it will depend on how often you stay in Soresu and how many Hp and Expertise you can get out of it. I definitely use a War Leader shield generator for example.

Phlem isn't there a chance that one or two of those "stuns" was actually a root or a mezz? What classes did this to you? What skills did they use? Do you really have the combat log for it like you mentioned earlier?

    Resolve Redux

So all of science is just speculation because god didn't hand down an explanation for how everything works? All those scientists did was test things and observe how could that be true!? I mean there is simply no way that you can test different stuns and how much resolve they add or time them with a watch! That is ridiculous no one has ever done it. http://taugrim.com/2012/01/04/understanding-swtors-resolve-mechanic/

    A real resolve fix.

Make the bar show all 1000 resolve points instead of just the 800 it does now. It'd be nice to more accurately know how much immunity you are going to cause.

    Resolve Redux

Roots and snares are NOT part of the resolve system. A lot of people in this thread need to go read this so they can have the same tools for the discussion as everyone else. http://taugrim.com/2012/01/04/understanding-swtors-resolve-mechanic/
  23. Can't you get the bubble pop blind and the knockback root in the same spec? Those are pretty common in PvP and pretty horrible for Guardians. Like I said though with the few tough Sorcs it is mostly a gear issue.
