  1. i dont know about the best but the guilds i respect the most are in no particular order balance hostile takeover molo and freinds (much love for my belgoths peeps) both balance and hostile imo are in a leauge of there own. both are class acts! i love playing against you guys :-)
  2. @op carnage mara here if you are havin trouble getting your burst off check out the following link http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=556929 if it is a gearing question then read this http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=525404 these two posts both relate to carnage but as combat is our mirror you should find them usefull. other than the things covered in my link it just takes practice and timeing. experiance on knowing when and how to get your burst off. after reading these let me know if you have any further questions i would also take cybertech for the grenades as you should be useing the exotech stims not the reusable rakata ones so biochem really is not worth it anymore. Also if you already have the ewh sabers start min/maxing all your gear with the wh gear half your problem may be just in your gear setup
  3. I have have been here since early access grinded through bm, wh and now starting the grind to ewh. I see it like this. 1. i understand the frustration but we still reaped the rewards of the better gear from start to finish. each peice grinded put us ahead of the fresh 50's as we built ourself in to the noob pwner we all strive to be. so to say it meant nothing is hardley the case as up until this morning from start to finish it has always givin us an edge. 2. also scaleing gear like this is good for the comunity none of us enjoyed getting thrashed forever to grind our way up to min/maxing but the experiance alone has put us above the rest. this gives all the new players a chance to gear up (btw they are still behind as they will be working on wh while we are upgradeing to ewh) what this does is make the wz's more competitive across the board where its more about skill and less about gear. this in turn is good for all pvpers close games=more fun=more people stay= better pvp for everyone 3. bioware can get concrete data on which class/specs are really op do to the gear divid shrinking this is the best time to get data on the class's as there is less desparity. as oposed to pve hero's jumping on the message boards crying nerf when its not the class its the gear. for the developers this is a chance to truly see how all the classes performe with close to equall gear. idk like i said its frustrating when you work so hard and you feel like others get it easy but thats what seperates the leet pvpers from the nub's not to mention it feels so much better pwning some nub in full aug wh then in recruit. the great pvpers welcome this as its a test of skill not just lolfacerolling a bunch of undergeard players to feel tough. but hey everyone is entitled to there opinion this is just the way i see it
  4. At op i understand its frustrateing to take a hit like that but it does get better whith gear as well as understanding when the smash will prolly hit. for all you one trick pony clowns out there pat is absoulutly right. you can't know when the smash will drop and i think you are grossly underestimating how long it takes for our stacks to drop off after we build them, it takes a long time. For the 10% bounus damage after charge we have i belive 7seconds, but the stacks take a long time to fall off. a good jugg will not smash right after charge unless he knows it will land ie: just saw you blow your knock back. and lets also not forget how hard scream and ravage hit as well. I find it funny how you guys talk like rage juggs are so easy to defeat. any of you on fatman are either out right lieing or have never run into me in a wz because i have never seen any player so eaisily nutralize me. there are alot of very bad rage juggs out there and they are not much of a threat, but the good ones are very hard to deal with. P.S. whats up PAT!
  5. 1. How do you think your Juggernaut spec is perceived by other classes? 2. How do you perceive your own spec? Rage pvp jugg 1. 1trick poney not a real threat outside of hutball 2. in a good spot as far as pvp is concerned, i think rage has a high skill cap to put out a ton of damage. if played properly can top the dps charts and still provide protection with taunts and a guard if really needed. i feel i have to work alot but not to much. overall i like where rage is right now but whould like a bit more survivability. this all coming from a pvp perspective, i also dont like how our main dps move being smash can be completely negated by a couple other classes if not timed properly, but not that big of a deal just have to know who your fighting and when to drop it.
  6. i apologize now if this has been said but i got sick of reading the l2p responses. i understand first hand where you are coming from as i felt the same way early on at 50 pvp in this game. i am the mt for my guild as a jug and also do not respec for pvp. my advice first thing first we as a class are extremly gear dependent. that being said it is going to be very rough at the start so be ready for some very frustrating moments. save for wepon first always. when moving up to a new teir of gear second. understand our role in SWTOR pvp it is NOT to KILL it is to annoy and survive long enough for your team/heals to arrive. we have extremly good cd's rotate through them use your trinkets as cd's as well if done properly you should almost always have some sort of damage reduction/sheild/mitigation up at all times. 3rd if you are not useing WZ stims/medpacks start this is huge in pvp as they heal for alot and give 15% more damage when needed. 4th guard/taunt if they are not on cd they should be they only exception being if your guarding an objective and no one is there if they are on cd find someone to use them on. if you are in a big fight check your raid frames for the person takeing damage and guard them make the other teams dps have to attack you. dont waste a guard on someone not takeing damage get very good at switching your guard on the fly. any good healer can keep you up if they are clear casting make the other team have to decide between you or the healer. if they go for healer make them pay by aoe taunt +guard then single taunt there big hitter. then start ccing them/ pushing them off your heals. again anooythem into attacking you. and dont forget intercede or your equivilant 20%damage reduction 4 6 sec use it regularly. 5th this maay sound stupid but if i am running random q's at the start of every WZ i say <---Tank just to let the heals know. they will want to be near you just for your guard./ taunts they really are huge in this game. summary tanks are a very big part of pvp in this game as a gurdian/jug we put out the lowest dps of any of the tanks but we have imo the best cd's and great mobility. hutball we are beasts with a jump to enemy and jump to friend we can get anywhere. we have alot of cc and with cd's very good survivability. i do agree we could use some mitigation against sorc/sages and ops are anoyying if the other player is good. but imo the pros out weight the cons. 1v1 stop trying to kill them and try keeping them busy until your team arrives. for sages keep them slowed and inturupt/cced and chip away at them for ops after the initial burst use your WZ medpack(see above) then they are no real threat to us. Hang in there hopefully we get brought up damage wise to they other tanks and get a lil more mitagation agains casters but over all we are prolly in the best place pvp wise of any of the class/specs any other questions feel free to ask i wont troll or l2p you we all arnt born pvp gods. But i do belive with understanding and practice we can become demi pvp gods :-)
  7. I love arena and would love to have it in this game. for all you "go play wow people" i would love to have arena in SWTOR with a lightsaber for the balance issue peeps it doesnt have to be balanced the same for both, balance pvp seperate. for the gear issue people make it equall gear as the current wz gear, it allows for smaller groups to still pvp as well as large groups for wz. What other real problem is there with having more options as a player?
  8. IMO best hutball comp = 2-mar---so both groups get speed and lust+charge = very mobile around field 1-sin tank---ball camping and guard/pull 1-op heals---mobility +buff 1-merc dps---tracer spam does lots o dps 1-sorc heals---Utility like a mofo+great ae heals 1-pt---jump to enemy and pull 1-jugg tank---best hutball class in game and yes im bias jump to enemy push jump to enemy again and jump to friend on a 20sec cd +amazing cd's = best ball carrier this make up gives you a extremly mobile team with a friendly pull and a jump to friendly as well as a stealth class to guard and keep mid control. mixed with cc's pulls and snars any comp would have trouble keeping you off the ball carrier/heals + a full team speed boost. and great burst dps for getting the ball back once lost.
  9. I am a firm beliver in if your not trash takling your doin it wrong. that being said there is a diffarance in trash talk and insulting someone.
