I would just like to say that since the trainwreck Anthem was, SWTOR has beeen getting lots o love and the current direction is very promising, especially with new direction. TORtanic? NOPE! The best things are made out of a struggle and SWTOR has certainly been a struggle. I love the Dantooine and Ossus stories, and the fallen jedi was awesome. Remove crates now so I can play more than 2 toons and its back to being perfect. thx.

This game was doomed the moment they implemented the horror that is the command crate system. This is literally forcing RNG onto the players. If I want RNG I will buy CM packs, but i dont want gearing to be RNG. I'm only here for the new expansion next month then I'm out again because it looks like BW still hasn't learned. I used to play the game almost every week before Command Crate HorrorShow. Last time I played it was 8 months ago. This game is on life support and once BW's new game fails the studio will enter EA's graveyard and so will SWTOR along with it.

Can we please keep this thread free of personal politics? Me personally, I always hate watching stuff that forces indoctrination of politics on you like some Game of Thrones scenes and I much rather prefer BW keep the indoctrination to a minimum. It's already pretty bad in some cases but at least they are options right now. I draw the line when it's a part of the story and then forced onto you.

No the only solution is to play on oceanic if there were a server. This is nothing you can do besides complain to your internet company about not having a direct route to the SWTOR data servers. If you trace the packets being sent and received, it's probably going through a ton of intermediaries hence the lag. Trying to compare this with american and canadian players will do no good, your distance is no where near the amount of distance your packets have to travel.

simple cause & effect mate: swg sent out NGE and game dies with the NGE, i'm not sure how you can keep saying something contradicting something that's repeating the same thing KOTET is the end all be all for this game unfortunately and everything points to it, I'm just trying to help the devs get this show back on track

People are forgetting the "Much Worse" part of the thread. Fact of the matter is that I'm simply saying SWG shut down with the NGE and SWTOR is going to shut down with the KOTET. You cannot dispute facts.

It's not total ignorance. There are fundamental differences between SWG and TOR and for good reasons. To flat out compare SWG to SWTOR would be a joke because one is a sandbox that never had themeparks until it was forced in the form of leveling and no more perma-deaths because jedi cried when they died form a bounty, the other decided to do a chinese copy of WoW with lightsabers. I'm simply comparing the events that led up to the shutdown of SWG are extremely similar to the events that are happening right now for SWTOR. SWTOR is in such a bad state right now I'm pretty sure there wont be anyone at all who would take the initiative to do an emulation after its shutdown, or even want to tempt someone from QA to hand over the source code.

you have no clue who you're talking to, go back and play legends if you regularly were to browse amazon game cards you would find them on sale every once in a while, normally from 3rd party resalers on it but sometimes amazon themselves, especially the CC. This isn't a doom and gloom thread this is pointing out facts. The fact is I can no longer buy cheap subs on amazon thus i will not be playing anymore once this runs out. Ever since BioWare decided to outright massacre the game forcing KOTET down our throats even if we didn't want it, see command crates, this game has been on a fast downward spiral. Now with the CC and sub cards no longer being sold at 3rd party vendors, many people will no longer be subbed in a couple months, especially those who stock up on them when they're on sale because they refuse to pay 15/mo like myself. EA looks like they're pulling an SoE on SWTOR and we're just now seeing the last bit of much wanted updates that have been asked for years. SoE did the very same thing with SWG shortly before it's sunset. Discuss.

Yeah this means that I will no longer be a sub since I cannot buy cards. I've been subbed since Day ONE and proudly display my Founder title in game. I'm seeing less and less of it these days but don't really have to wonder why. I refused to pay 15/mo since KOTET massacred the game, like the NGE for SWG but much worse. I could buy cards on discount from amazon sometimes for 40% off and stock up on them. Have a couple another months to go, so will see if they pop back up but I figure that EA is pulling the life support.

This is how all games look like when they're about to shut down. Just look at how it happened with SWG. First they did super cheap server transfers, then free, and then they started closing down servers and merging it to just a couple. In about a couple months we will see some news about the roadmap and I'm sure it'll be full of things players always wanted. In SWG's case, atmospheric flight they added last minute before shutdown and it wrecked havoc for pvp, and they also did the restuss event again. I'm starting to see the final nails in the coffin being lined up now for SWTOR just waiting to be hammered in. BW gambled hard with CXP RNG and it failed HORRIBLY. Now their recent endorsement of EXPLOITS and refuse to comment about the laundered GAZILLION credits, we have no economy.

If they release a schedule then we will know when the games final week will be thus no schedule

Enable exploratory missions in the settings. Also the map you can change settings for missions too.

What you're experiencing is due to how poorly programmed the servers are for swtor. They're probably all running windows vista. Data center switch doesn't matter. Hardware won't fix bad programming.

No I worked hard for my 1b+ in credits. Took me years to get to that point. Why should I suffer because of BioWares endorsement of these EXPLOITERS? What enrages me the most is that they recognized it, and told everyone it was/stil is fine to buy the gifts. First gift market got trashed that I did so good in and now it leaked into other areas like the plague. Looks like BioWare didn't forget to enable the Rakghoul Plague event. It just came back to us in another form!!!

Back when swtor was first released you received a bag from doing dailies. Inside the bag was a piece of gear.

Why do we have it back in the form of command crates? Did someone who was fired back then get rehired?
