  1. Teams that stack many gunships only do so because the other team isn't countering them. Like many previous post have stated, scouts are a great counter to gunships. I've been in matches where the other team starts out with 3-4 gunships and by the end of the match there was only one flying a gunship. On my flashfire I look for them them at 20-30k m out and barrel roll behind them and burst them down. Many times I don't even use missiles because that causes them to barrel roll away. Gunships are easy to play only if they aren't hunted. Edit: I do agree that the ion cannon power drain needs to be tweaked. Barrel roll for them is fine. The CD could be extended a little.
  2. I'd like to group up, especially on the imp side where I'm just starting to gear my ship. Most of my playing time will be on the weekend because of classes. Pub: Okiobe Imp: Mirque.
  3. I think gunships play a support role and they are good at breaking defenses at a node when they are protected. As the overall skill and knowledge of the mechanics increases they will be essential in breaking node defenses. Two highly skilled players can circle a satellite the whole match without being able to kill each other. The gunship breaks the cycle and makes the battle more dynamic. Personally, I never play gunships but I'm happy when my team has one or two.
  4. One of the easiest ways to pick out an inexperienced player is by how they turn and use their engine power. Any player that depletes his engine power is easy to kill and players that never use their engine power speed boosts are also easy to kill. Moving in crazy directions at the standard speed has little to no effect on the ability of an attacker to track and hit you. If you want to make a tight turn hold down s while turning. Use your space bar speed boost in short bursts while quickly changing directions. This way you can keep up your power pool while also evading enemy fire. The farther to the edge of your attackers targeting reticule you are the less shorts he will land. Consider taking barrel roll as your engine component ability. It is a nice ability to enter combat quickly or exit an area quickly if you get overwhelmed. Just make sure you have enough room to complete the maneuver. On a slightly related note, never fly straight at someone head to head who is more upgraded than you or a scout in general. Chances are you will get killed or become a fireball and die on his second pass.

I would really like to see the last outfit shown in the agent progression video. http://i48.tinypic.com/i3xizn.png I only have one character on the imperial side (I play mostly republic) so I don't know if this is already in game. I'm really trying to get this look for my operative and I haven't seen anything that looks like this in style AND color.
