  1. So, I guess this bug has reared it's head again, at least for me. On one my characters every time I login to the game or change zone (loading screen), my legacy rocket boost auto activates. It also dismisses my companion on zone change. I know this at least used to be related to the random mount option and having the rocket boost in the favorites, but I cannot even select rocket boost in the favorites any more (it looks to be selected and disabled...) and I've tried using the random mount option but that doesn't fix it.
  2. The rank 5 blues are the most cost effective (if you don't take jawa scraps into account). The price difference with purples/pinks, however, is so small, that I'd say the time difference in gifting them more than makes up for it https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1T_i6MzNffwHrxtwLTrRESDQ9ZV58A5X8r_WavF5_LCA/edit#gid=0 You can use that to calculate the prices (need to make a copy for yourself to be able to edit) to increase the ranks using different gifts and currencies.
  3. It also resets your abilities when redoing Chapter I of KotFE and it doesn't matter what you press on the tutorial popup, the tick or the cross, it removes all your abilities and then starts giving them back gradually, but Chapter I is so short and quick (you can run it in approx 5 minutes in story mode) you'll never get all of your abilities back during it. Then it dumps you to the login screen when you're finished. Not to mention that I have tutorials disabled on settings, but the pop-up still comes up.
  4. In Win 10 you can create a second virtual desktop (task view -> new desktop) if you have none, and then switch to it using Win + Ctrl + Left/Right to switch around them. Then start task manager on that other desktop and you can kill swtor.exe. The virtual desktops are persistent, so it will remember the amount you have set when you log out, reboot or restart your machine.
  5. You can edit the ui preference file that can be found in %AppData%\Local\SWTOR\settings\GUIProfiles (or something along those lines. The entry is propably near the bottom. Just increase the Y offset, save, and reload the profile in game. You can do that while in-game. If you want keep it on top and have it selectable, rotate it 180 degrees, that seems to move the handlebar to a different position.
  6. The SAG-AFTRA strike has been looming on the horizon since January, so I think they were just playing it safe, and did all the needed story chapters first. Given EA's refusal to negotiate a new contract, they have seen the writing on the wall for some time now and adjusted accordingly. Now that the strike is a reality and many of the most recognized voice actors in SWTOR, e.g. Jennifer Hale and David Hayter, are now on strike, BW Austin is kinda in a bind and they can't very well say that it's because of the strike / contract issue.
  7. I actually think that the voice actors strike screwed the pooch here. They had to cram all the Eternal Empire stuff in to the first (and only) 9 chapters instead of trickling the rest along the year like in KotFE. If I was a wagering man I would bet that when the first hints of an impending strike came, the first things to get the axe would have been any companion return chapters.
  8. The weekly can be completed by simply doing one of the other dailies twice, but yeah, Into the Fire seems to have been broken for a long time. I saw posts about the last boss not spawning all the way from last year when I first googled the issue.
  9. The speeder worked just fine last night when I drove my lvl 11 scoundrel to the Dealer's Den in the Old Galactic Market. Today, I was unable to mount it there (someone told me it still works on the senate plaza) so it is definitely something that changed in the 1.4 patch. If the speeders indeed didn't work at some stage, this wouldn't be the only regression bug introduced in 1.4... I guess someone forgot to merge some of the old bug fixes to the 1.4 development branch...
  10. Not sure if it is a bug or a a f'd up design choice that was left out of the patch notes (at least I couldn't find anything regarding this). In Coruscant you're unable to mount vehicles in Old Galactic Market and Black Sun territory. Haven't tried other sections, but it works in the senate area. Anyways, kinda renders possibility of unlocking speeders from legacy perks at level 10 moot. Also having the same FPS drops/jerkiness when panning the view like half the forums seem to be having. Gotta wonder how on earth this patch passed QA.
  11. Having similar experience here. Fraps shows solid 60 FPS but panning camera around (left/right, up/down) isn't smooth, but instead it looks the view updates only after every x degrees. This makes it look really choppy and gives an illusion of FPS drop (of course, it might be, that the drop is so short, that Fraps doesn't notice it). I've always had shadows disabled, so it's not them. No SLI or Crossfire setup, just plain old Radeon HD 5770 with newest Catalyst drivers (12.8) I've tried every trick so far suggested on the CS forums regarding this issue, and the only ones that seem to have any affect are to disable nameplates totally and setting shader quality to low (which makes the game butt ugly). Running the game in windowed fullscreen reduces the choppines a bit, but doesn't remove it completely Needless to say, that everyting ran smoothly prior to 1.4 patch. Oh, and I'm not sure what they did to the fonts in this patch, but text's are now so small and blurry it's almost painful to try and read some of them.
