  1. Face it you have a 9 character guild, or a 3 or 4 member guild if you will. accept it or boot them. we have about 12 -15 guild members who log in regularly, 5 or 6 are regular FP and OP runners working to bulk up our gear and get more experience. the rest of the guild is guildies we can sub in to help them when they are available, most of us have been together since 2003 in that "OTHER" star wars game. It comes down to your tolerance level, no sense stressing out about it. your options are: 1. Live with it and enjoy your online friends 2. Boot them if you are able and are at your limit 3. Help them get better
  2. I have the Belkin Nostromo the older version of the Razer , i love it.
  3. Yep you all that spent the 50mil, enjoy that...lololololol
  4. Yep, we are now a small guild where we were once a medium guild, so we are not interested at this point. when / if we grow then maybe. it is a shame bioware shut some guilds out because of size.
  5. I get ya, we use the guild stronghold in the same way, just minus the huge cost.
  6. Funny you mention this, yes it is very true, except the thing, the ones you label as lazy may not be really lazy, sure they dont measure up by not contributing as much as others but that is not in itself lazy. they may have other wants in the game to accomplish. Our once medium sized guild which now dwindled down to a small guild now is picking up some of ones cast off as lazy players which are liking the slower pace we offer. We do dailies, sometimes not daily lol, we do ops, fp's, crafting a lot of content we just dont hound our guild members to the point where they give up and want to leave anyway. A lot of the people that come to us relate the same story, hounded and badgered to the point they dont want to log on or you kick them. They are good people and are loyal if you show them value and will be good guild members. What you say is true in that all the people in the boat must row together or you end up not moving or go in circles, but not everyone wants to go to the same destination so they dont have the same dedication to row as hard. those are your lazy guild members, they have little or no motivation. if you want to grow or keep moving forward you must prune the one who dont produce what you want. We will take your cast offs , what we feel that is not a member we want is someone who is rude , foul mouthed , non respectful , childish or has a me first attitude and refuses to help as they have been helped. those you can keep, all others we will gladly take off your hands.
  7. Grinding the same content over and over and over is NOT my idea of fun. IM glad our guild was poor and could not be foolish enough to spend that kind of credits on little reward.
  8. Recruit or join a bigger guild, humm now why did i not think of that?, Just kidding. We would LOVE to recruit, but there is no BW system in place to get players other than spamming in general chat or talking to players you group with, which is hard because there are already 7 or 15 other people spamming them to join their guild throughout the flashpoint or op. Join a bigger guild, unfortunately there is going to be a LOT of that going on in the very near future, medium and small guild will fold because the large guilds will take their members. so the bigger guilds will say well what is wrong with that, well nothing except if you are in a medium or small guild that gets cannibalized to feed the large guilds. Have you ever tried going to the fleet with no guild tag? you almost cant get anything done without getting /tell spammed almost as bad as the gold farmers do in general chat. I don't want to complain without giving what i think would be a acceptable solution that all guild could get behind and accept. 1. GUILD RECRUITERS - place one on the character log on screen ,each fleet and one on each starter planets. When a player clicks on it they will get a search menu, they can search by size of guild they want, also type (PVP, PVE, RP, Social, OP/FP runner , etc (or a combination of any of those). They hit search and are given a list of matching guilds, they can click on them one by one if they choose to examine the guild(s). they are shown the size of the guild, average logon of all members (to keep from joining a dead guild) , and also be shown a guild leader written description of the guild (maximum of 1 FULL page not the 128 characters they gave us now). They can apply to the one guild they like , they will be asked a few questions like, new player Y/N, experience in flashpoints and ops, etc. then hit submit and it generates an in game email to the guild leader and officers which they can read and hit accept or reject, if they accept the new member they are added to the guild even without them having to be on line at the time they are accepted. 2. GUILD CALENDAR - place it on the character logon screen and version to the in game menu. Lets guild leader and officers to add / edit events for each day, also lets members commit to attending. Join by role and experience, first come first serve or guild / raider leader select. 3. GUILD EMAIL - Gives guild leader ability to assign which level of guild member to be able to send guild wide emails. PLEASE increase the size of our emails also. If BW adds these features i think it will go a long way to stabilize the guild community , smaller and medium guilds can grow and large guild can get more focused replenishment's with the skills they are looking for when members eventually leave.
  9. That is why our guild chose NOT to even try for the guild ship and put our credits into the guild stronghold. There are going to be (if it has not already started) so many medium and small guilds that just give up because the same guilds time after time will dominate with NO chance of even getting into the top 10 let alone be number 1. I am sure we will get the same people saying you dont try hard enough, or your guild sux if they dont all pull their weight but some if not most guild dont have all members chomping at the bit to log on to complete their dailys.
  10. Like i care. Even you would like boarding another flagship, fighting the other guild to the last member , looting it and blowing it up..... Then making the loosing guild buy their flagship once again, after all, credits are earned about 1 million per day per guild member right. should have it no time
  11. What would be even cooler would be be able to sneak aboard and blow up the ship. So then they would have to buy ANOTHER ship for 50million credits, seeing how money is NO problem getting for some people.
  12. Ours took a vote, we will not participate unless things change. it is not worth it for so little reward. We will invest in a guild stronghold for A BUNCH LESS.
  13. This makes sense and seems to balance things a bit. Would like to see the guild flag ships have 2 versions, one with the full Monte costing the 50 million and a scaled down version with NO conquest options for considerable ( BUT could be upgraded if the difference were paid ) less for guild who have no interest in the conquest / leader boards .
  14. Yea, if they mainline redbull and Jolt Cola, chew no-doz and wear diapers to limit their time away from the computer they might stand a chance to get close lol.
  15. Well that expense ONLY the big guilds can afford. i have heard all the comebacks from everyone, lets see there was "you have had time to save", or "your guild sux if they cant help you" , or my favorite " if you and your guild had dedication, your guild no matter the size can save 50 million in a matter of weeks". well we have lives outside of the game and dont live in moms basement. so i can do maybe 1 op per day or maybe 2 FP's, or 2 - 3 dailies before i have to go do things in real life. we can not save 50 million, we got to about 20 million and everyone said enough and lost interest.
  16. /standing ovation /slow clap simply awesome, summed it up perfectly. Now if Bioware will listen and implement a guild recruitment system smaller guild may stand a chance.
  17. You are spot on, but did BW even considered this ? i would hope there are some BW people who saw this coming.
  18. Im with ya in the same situation, was super excited about guilds getting some love. I dont think /BW did a true count the cost of this, so many people were pumped about this but now we see what the cost vs benefit will be. a lot of people hanging on waiting on 2.9 thinking it will be for all guilds will be lost. small guilds will be cannibalized and will forced to go to the larger guilds if they want to do the high end content. ( all the larger guilds will say.. gee i see nothing wrong with this). even if BW put in place a lock out timer for the guilds constantly placing in the top 10 it still will not be worth the cost.
  19. no i think the super, large and medium guilds will shut the small guilds out. you really think a guild of 15-20 , that in reality can field maybe 4-5 players at a time can compete with the guilds that can field hundreds? i want some of what you are smoking if you think that is not going to happen.
  20. I know how many planets there are, and i know it is the top ten PER planet, but you will see super guilds take over and squeeze out the smaller guilds.
  21. well you might see the point if you were a mom and pop store down the street.
  22. well your guild is most likely safe, but he is talking about smaller guilds.
