  1. Posts like this - rightly or wrongly - will only get you flamed and harangued. The only response you will ever get to posts like this are "l2p" etc. I'm not debating whether there is an issue and I am not contesting your post in anyway. Simply saying don't waste your time making the post as the trolls here will pounce all over it and cut and paste their l2p statements and laugh. It's the very reason I have stopped posting on this forum. The admins let the idiots rule here and until they grow some balls - only the trolls will reign.
  2. I agree it's unlikely they will change it because the effort/reward for Bioware won't be worth it. I disagree that it's about keeping pvp and pve separate. It's about balance and fair reward for the same effort. Social points and loot drops from pve are an additional benefit over pvp rewards. Balance that equation in whatever format you choose and pvp gamers will feel they are getting equal opportunity for their monthly subscriptions. Even if not social points the ability to customise and gain rng gear makes it fair. Using terms like QQ won't deviate the debate any we pay our subs so give us equal reward. Simple. Bland statements about keeping pve and pvp separate don't really hold any water sorry.
  3. Aren't you forgetting the loot drops from fp's. If you want to balance that equation anove we could always offer pvp corpse loot options for gearing up. That would make your comparison fairer. Biased debate much?
  4. Why? The social points in pve are for grouping. Pvp is as much about the team as pve if not more so. Excluding social from pvp is just excluding a player base who prefers to pvp but would still like social gear to customise their look. I think you're missing the bigger picture. I won't pve simply to get social gear as I would rather spend my time playing what I enjoy. That said - why should that exclude me from customising my characters look? If you can offer a really compelling reason why pvp gamers shouldn't have this option I'll happily agree. So?
  5. We did when stabby stabby became ineffective. I was a little concerned you were referring to me as a lass then. My gentleman bits were almost offended!
  6. Whenever I get to this point I pull my toon apart piece by piece. Start with the spec and get that adjusted (if needed) and then move to gear, mods, weapons etc. A full review and try and identify the gaps you need to plug. If you find your gals are too big to plug then get onto a plan of gear acquisition that will accelerate gear progression. Sometimes you have to accept you can't compete at a certain level. The other aspect to consider is a decent team. Easy to say but vey very hard to find. I wish I could offer more specific advice but hopefully it will help. A deep breath and a fresh view can work wonders.
  7. Seen no adverse result in survivability or measured healing output? If not then maybe I have been too hasty - I know others have felt the bite and I certainly gave it a good go yesterday for about 6 hours back to back but I'll not give up just yet and see if it was a coincidental incident rather than resultant of 1.3.
  8. You have trouble with dps operatives even now? I suggest your own advice is more valid for yourself than me tbh. But I'll take it on the chin and will continue to "l2p" in your teenage parlance. After all - isn't that what we are all constantly doing anyway? Ever heard the phrase "never stop learning". I buy into that - do you? So yes, I will continue to "l2p". Will you? Or do you know it all now and always?
  9. It's certainly noticeable and less enjoyable. As an op healer with the 6% heal reduction I really am feeling the pain. I'm glad I am not on my own!
  10. Good point and you are taking a healer out of the equation. If I have a dps focussed on me though I rarely get chance to put out anywhere near enough damage to get them to 50% ... but then I could just be pants at healing :-)
  11. Did any other healers suffer the old ops frames HP bug yesterday post patch. The bug where the frame doesn't show the actual HP situation in the team (e.g so someone can be near dead and they show as full health in ops frame and vice versa)? I had it intermittently in about 4 wz's and had to reload the ui but all my other games were fine. Just curious to see if it has returned that's all.
  12. For the record I did. I was dps operative until that nerf hit and I rerolled healer - I don't see where else I have left to go but feel free to enlighten me with advice on how to adapt (including spec and gear etc) and I will be eternally grateful to you. Or make a broadbrush statement that is unsubstantiated and leaves no credible advice
  13. I'm with you on that mate alas that option doesn't exist on my main now due to the previous stabby stabby nerf. I'm thinking either balls out dps class or annoying pvp tank. Reroll is looking like my only option unless there is a workable dps spec for operatives that I am missing?
  14. I was always killable you just had to think how to rather than slap your palm on the keyboard and notch up another kill. I give it until this weekend before we see another cry for a healing nerf because it takes slightly linger to kill one. The sad thing is - BW will oblige because they want some CoD market share pew pew pew pew!
  15. I refer you to my disclaimer notes and my preferred options which don't include your suggestion. I'm not someone who will bang their head against a brick wall - if you chose to that's up to you. No sympathy required and as per note 1 - no apologies
  16. A decent healer will force an interrupt on a useless skill. Amazingly I find most dps will interrupt me when they first start beating on me. That's great though I now slap out a diagnostic scan and if that's interrupted I can throw in a bigger heal. Clever dps sadly don't fall for it
  17. True - but as a sniper he can then force the opposition to make a decision and either split the team or tease them away from an objective. I did just this last night in void star. Three opposition so intent on taking me down I ran them right back past the attacking spawn point. To make it worse I even said to them I was deliberately running them away from the door and they kept coming. The outcome - I died - my team took the undefended door. Seeing beyond damage done and kill counts is what wins games. That and some gear ofc
  18. Likewise! Healing (and for me specifically Operative) has taken too much of the nerfbat for a game only 6 months old. Imma be a faceroller (just practicing on Tekken and Streetfighter first). The majority have spoken - pvp is NOT the thinking mans game (or woman's).
  19. As a above basically: Stabby stabby spec: retired April 2012 Healer spec: retired June 2012 Congratulations Bioware you killed the class I opted to play during those long long years awaiting launch which, like all things, was massively delayed. I truly don't know what options are left now other than rolling an inquisitor healer (who now seem to top the healing by a large margin) or looking to other games for a more gratifying pvp experience. That under the table quietly introduced 6% nerf in base healing is a rather ungentlemanly kick in the proverbials. So - any Sith healers willing to offer their view of healing would be most welcome as a reroll is looking the most likely option now? NOTE: The above commentary may be tinged with hints of melodrama and overreaction. We make no apologies. Addendum: Congratulations dps nerf whiners. You won - us operatives are now at your disposal in the queue to be face rolled by the "target demographic" and their console inspired button mashing. We exist only to further your kill count. NOTE 2: The above IS tinged with strong elements of dissatisfaction with Bioware and their willingness to bow to the statistical majority (dps classes). NOTE 3: this is the last note in place of expletives which would contravene the code of conduct. So - how is GW2 shaping up?
  20. Spoken like a true pvper. You have my utmost respect for truly understanding your role against a healer and knowing how to rely take them out of the equation. Great post - well said!
  21. Ooooooooh I thought you were making a serious post didn't realise you were trolling for sport. That's a relief I'd hate to think any of my fellow gamers were that detached from reality!
  22. Roughly translated then: you want healer classes to keep multiple players alive but want them incapable of keeping one person up! Yeah that makes sense. Get some more mmo pvp experience under your belt and you'll see your desirable situation has really never existed healers heal and it appears face rollers like yourself just want to contrive the situation so you can remove the only class standing in the way of total 1v1 annihilation. To reiterate 1v1 versus a healer in wz is a distraction technique not an ego kill count exercise. Get on the healers nerves and stop them keeping their teammates up and you'll win if the opposition isn't doing the same. Take a deep breath, step back and think hard on the absurdity of the suggestion that a class that kicks out no dps but focuses purely on healing shouldn't be able to keep themselves alive 1v1 against a dps class. What does that leave? No damage ability, incapable of holding one assailant at bay? Why don't you just ask bw to make all healers look pretty and we can stand in the wz cheering on you big men as you go about your manly war business. Get a grip and think before you cry nerf because you have a challenge on your hands.
  23. You think? Read the patch notes? Personally I don't see how losing 6% healing bonus from my talents is going to make my healing more effective! Maybe I'm missing something!!!!!!! !!!!!!
