  1. I agree so much with you. I would love to have more customization options, and especially more styles of long hair.
  2. Precisely! I'm glad I made that statement so clear . But to be serious - the atmosphere created by all the whining makes people, especially those who don't know the game too well, feel like the end of TOR is imminent (which apparently is also ok, because according to them it sucks in the first place). And I disagree with that atmosphere. So what I'm trying to do is to show, that there are poeple who not share this point of view. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." - E. Burke; Hence - I decided to speak my mind.
  3. Then you should definitely make a post about it, similar to mine. Then I could go in and complain about people complaining on people who are complaining. Yes, let's do that - this is a good idea.
  4. Wow, and I thought my post was angry ... the begining of your definitely takes the concept of this topic to a new level . I'm not sure you understood me correctly. Have you ever been to the FB page of TOR? Did you browse through the topics here? I'm not saying people can't criticise the game - on the contrary, I'm just saying that it has to be constructive, otherwise it's pointless. The hotbar discussion that was going on from the moment F2P hit servers - spot on. It was ridiculous to give the F2P players almost unplayable number of hotbars. The moment they corrected it, I saw people writing on FB "what's done is done - now it doesn't change anything". I mean... really? Another example is the coming DLC. Should it be a DLC of a patch? Well - patch would be nice. I appreciate the way DCUO is doing it's F2P business, where I get all DLC's (and they are good ones!) for free as a subscriber. TOR went for a different model, and it clearly is connected to the finances. I agree that Makeb would be so much better to be a patch, but I'm far from criticising the DLC before I see more information about it. Nobody forces anybody to preorder it, plus the price has nothing to do with when you order it, so... we can wait until more info is revealed. One thing I dislike about TOR is the PR and the interaction with community. Some things are simply not mentioned, or left in silence despite being announced earlier (Cathar). There's room for improvement - no doubt about that. So I strongly believe that you completely misunderstood my post. I just have enough of reading about the "game's death" and stuff like that. How does that help anyone in anything?
  5. Same here! Actually recently to celebrate the anniversary of my game key registration I even recreated my beta BH, and now am trying to level him up . Glad to see that there are others who think the same as me .
  6. Wow you have -790 CC's... interesting. This is clearly a mistake - must be. They should correct it. Then they should be punished... they should watch Gotham tera itself... wait - wrong universe . But seriously - that HAS to be a mistake... nonetheless I feel you - that's crazy to say the least.
  7. I am! Thank you very much . Also please do share more information about the DLC (it's not a full expansion actually), because you apparently have it (now I open the gate for discussion: why should we pay if we don't know more about it ). Oh... and it's more like 10$, 8EUR... and actually 35PLN for me, because I pay in my local currency.
  8. Seriously! I've been browsing through forums during the Christmas, and I've had enough, and felt a strong need to share some thoughts. The moaning that's going on here, all the trolling, people complaining that the game's dead (or at least in the terminal phase), that the F2P model is bad, because they don't have enough hotbars, then when they got more hotbars, they said that it changes nothing, because they weren't there from the begining, etc. Oh sweet Lord - quit whining! Is this game perfect? No! I'm missing many things (such as holiday events to start with, and revamped Space Combat to end with), but I am still enjoying it. It's one of the few things out there which can be entertaining for both veterans and newbies. The story is interesting and fun, community in game (apparently different people than on forums and FB page ) is friendly, one can level in many ways - it's fun! I guess what I'm trying to say is - I can't read anymore about the game's death, while at the same time I see so many people online, many F2P players subbing because they love the game, and people generally having fun. Contructive critic is a great thing, but for some time I get the feeling that no matter what devs do - they will still get bashed. Ok... I'm gonna end my rage post now . And yes - I am Star Wars and The Old Republic fanboy. Fanboy, geek and proud! PS Yes I also want new stuff - give me playable Rodians! I want to be a Rodian as I was in SWG... before the dark times, before the NGE (and CU for that matter).
  9. I'm an altoholic so I don't really have any toon that would be interested in the raised level cap, so I'm hoping they'll add some stuff also for low levels. Anyway - I bought it, because it's 10$ - I spend more for lunch.
  10. I think you're having trouble understanding what you read, because I've already seen you writing this rubbish in another post. NO - THEY ARE NOT EXPECTING YOU TO PAY 20$ IF YOU DON'T PREORDER!!! SUBSCRIBERS PAY 10$ now... I hope we got that straight... preordering before 7th of January gives you 5 days of headstart, it does not influence the price. Just thought I'd try and explain it...
  11. That comment is a win . By the way - it's quite impressive to see people spending so much money on the packs . I'm getting married next year, so won't afford more than 5-10 packs a month )).
  12. Same here! So I really couldn't agree more with the OP.
  13. Let's make it sweet and simple: New! We need to stay true to what SW is, but... new. Oh, and OP: you have probably the most awesome sig I've ever seen .
  14. Would be awesome to have some Legacy level-specific items for potential purchase. Make it even an option with CC's, but after gaining the Legacy level. Gear, weapons and stuff. This game, also the Legacy system, it all has SO much potential - but we need UPDATES!
  15. I'll start by saying something that every fanboy (and I am such a SW and Revan fanboy! ) should say: I love The Old Republic - with 1 month pause (due to my business life) I have been a subscriber from the beta period, and now I am re-subbing for another 6 months. I really enjoy this game! Having sad that, I strongly believe that the game needs more often updates and also events. Would be awesome if you we had some X-mas event, obviously in the Star Wars spirit. But... what I really wanted to say is - it would be fantastic if we could have more companions. I, for one, would love to have a Jawa companion for any of my toons. They don't have to be lvl 50 companions, like HK-51 (great move by the way). We could have companions with difficult quests also for earlier levels, so that players could have more RP options, and also more potential companion-related quests. This would be a lot of fun, and also let us have more flexibility in chosing the companions. Not to mention, that it means having the F2P players pay for this content as something extra (did someone say more money for BW? Ding! Yes sir, that's exactly what I said! ). So.. that's just my share of thoughts.. .
  16. We (subscribers) get 500 CC's, which is an F2P MMO standard. Why would we get more? And the Cartel Packs? Well.. it always is a lottery - doesn't matter if it's TOR, CO or STO (or whatever) - it always is a bit like gambling - you can hit the jackpot, or you can lose money for nothing. I bought two of them - and I enjoyed stuff from both of them (some vanity pet and a speeder).
  17. Exactly! And we should also get a pony, and free quick travel to the end of the rainbow, where pot full of golden credits is... obviously free.
  18. Its interesting to see that for some people Republic stories are way better, while for others the Imperial ones work. I guess that it only proves how well writtn is TOR in overall.
  19. I guess the whole dark-light side choice thing is to give you a chance to take your character where your (his/her's) heart desires despite the represented side of the war. My Jedi is not evil... or at least he doesn't think he's evil. Yes he's consumed by the Dark Side, but he believes to be doing the right thing. He doesn't try to do the right thing - he just does it... as far as he believes. Yes he might be brutal at times, but ultimately he sees his choices as necessary sacrifices for the greater good. And he hates the Empire with his entire soul... word "hate" being the key here .
  20. From what I hear Taun-tauns smell bad on the outside... and apparently inside even worse...
  21. Wow - that's just PACKED with spoilers, isn't it? )))
  22. I've been payimg sub since day one... I miss updates, events, etc. When the game goes F2P I'll... remain a subscriber... anfd buy CC's . But that's me.
  23. He did? That's a shame. He is a very good director no matter if one likes his movies or not. Personally I really dislike Tarantino's movies, as they are completely shallow, pointless, and utterly uninteresting (obviously imho - other people may like it ), but he is a very good director nonetheless, and has a great connection with actors. I can't think of anyone good enough then. Honestly I hate it how many people, including directors, presume that Star Wars under Disney will be horrible. First of all we can't do worse than EP1. Secondly - Marvel has it's most glorious movie days now after Disney takeover (the games suck though ), and thirdly - besides the Old Republic era started with the KotOR 1, we haven't seen anything really good in SW universe since the 80's so... I guess some optimism is needed. We're on the bottom - now we can only bounce back .
  24. Kevin Smith - I always wanted to see him as a maker of the new SW movies. And he didn't say "no" ... I just hope they will consider him.
  25. That's great how your son got you into SW universe, and you fell in love with it . I think that BW truly did justice to the feeling the Original Trilogy had, but in a more modern way. I've been a fan of SW since I was a kid and saw it for the first time in the late 80's, and I loved The Old Republic ever since I saw Revan in KotOR (I even made my parents name their dog Revan ... and my frenchie is called Imperia ). I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's fantastic when people fall in love with the world that is so dear to me as well . My Jedi got to lvl 38 today.. then my internet connection died, but since it's back again... I'm thinking - Quesh?
