  1. Unsubbed last night, I am on the fatman server from early release and was in closed beta for over a year before release. my reasons 1 - Gear grind at 50 ( I am in full rakata with half blackhole / campaign) is boring and lack luster since the raids are a joke 4 easy bosses is NOT a raid. 2 - the PVP in this game is terrible, CC heavy, grind happy, unbalanced, limiting, no open world incentive (see llum for a clear example as on the fatman the largest server llum is a ghost town) limited WZ's (sorry huttball is not pvp its a poorly designed ballgame that favors 2 classes over the other 2) turns into just ANOTHER gear grind. 3 - Crafting, even the best stuff, is still garbage and poorly designed. The idea that pets do the crafting for you is neat but the execution is just flat out lame, see games like vanguard or swg for how crafting should be done. 4 - Space combat is still boring as ever but with the xp nerf it really makes it a worthless part of the game where before at least it was a change of pace for TONS of xp while grinding an alt up 5 - The leveling process is god awful, the planets are lacking any real immersion, and there is NO sense that my actions have any impact on the environment or the story. Sorry but for a game billed as being a story driven game the fact that the story remains exactly in the stagnant position it was in after I supposedly blew up a giant ship with bombs shows how sad the game is. WOW the dinosaur from years past at least has phasing to have your actions impact the world around you. 6 - WAY to heavily instanced and WAY too long of load times. There was an incredibly well written and technical thread created a few weeks back where a guy went through and laid out the hardware problems with the game ( I clearly do not speak computer nerdenese) It showed exactly how even with a great PC this game lacks quality hardware 7 - INSANELY POORLY WRITTEN STORYLINE. I know it’s cool the first time you see the NPC's talk to you but seriously my spacebar at this point is falling off my keyboard. EVERY quest hub is loaded with garbage dialog that even the first time around was not immersive. The class storylines are mediocre at best, if BIOWARE wanted to create a really well written game then they should have at least hired some good writers, I have played through a few storylines, SI, IA, SW, Trooper, and BH they are all predictable and in no way gripping or exciting. ONCE again NO CONSEQUENCES EITHER. No matter what i do or say my pet will still be my pet no way to not get them no way to kill them or have them leave or anything......This was one of the largest disappointments with the game for me, see other BW games where your actions have consequences. 8 - Legacy system - really lame. I can lay out some sort of cheap family tree that does nothing; I can buy for an extremely expensive amount of credits garbage. Which by the way created a valued credit selling economy for the credit farmers of the web, I like to follow prices to see what they are going for and overnight with the legacy system gold farmer sites tripled their prices for credits, LOL gratz bioware. 9 - compartmentalized planets, sorry but sometimes I would love to go to the lowbie planet and grief until the high levels show up and save the day and we get real open world pvp....that simply doesn’t happen since the planets are so segregated. I wish there was more of a mash up that forced PVP on the players on PVP servers. 10 - BY FAR THE MOST IMPORTANT - easy content, the game is a joke to play. I know its a casual friendly story driven MMO but for god’s sake it is easy as hell with 7 other competent players you can do everything the game has to offer in the PVE realm in 1 day. The raids are easy even on Hardmode settings, Nightmare content is a joke as the only thing different is the HP / DPS of bosses which turns out to simply be a gear check. The lost island instance was the only fresh instance that had any type of challenge with the first boss but again with 3 other people that understand how to move out of a bubble and how to interrupt 1 ability and a healer that understands how to cleanse off the only move that hurts the tank it is a JOKE !!! Bioware I tried to like he game, and as a guild leader I am saddened as I have watched my guild die through a slow boring drawn out 5 months, the game continues to bleed subs and even the fatman which was the reroll hub for everyone has turned into just a hive of idiots that use general chat to try and compete with WOW for which game the most immature self righteous douche bags that can sit behind a keyboard and spout out the worst of humanity on a daily basis. I understand that the game will not die, the IP alone will keep it alive but Bioware you truly did drop the ball on this game and took a game with so much potential and utterly fumbled it all over. Fix it and I might resub as sadly I was just charged for a 3 month extension even though I was told I would have 30 days free in an email i thought that might extend out my payment timeline but it did not, so you can have my money but I will be uninstalling the game very soon and sadly prolly installing one of the many other games out there. Tortanic really dropped the ball IMO
  2. EA cant make a profit for squat, they have historically been a poor investment and give little in returns. As far as the subscription goes for this game its clear its going down and they are scrambling to keep the TORtanic from utterly sinking but I don't see it lasting as a serious market competitor. It will hold a base due to the IP and lack of SW games on the market. I personally just unsubbed and will elt my gametime run out as I log in 2 times a week to do raids and that is about it.
  3. its not hard at all, you stun them then kill thm and when they try to get any decent heal off u interupt it and they are dead. I do it and so does everyone esle that understands how to CC and interupt. Fast running bubbles and knockbacks down matter to range DPS and range interupts.
  4. no, 1 - lack of quality content with too much emphasis on sophmoric written storylines and shallow immersion I doubt my spacebar will last through another month. 2 - extremely unbalaned PVP with little to no real incentive for real world PVP 3 - just another daily / weekly grind with a new skin nd a lot of work needed I am currently debating unsubbing, despite just auto-renewing for 3 months. End of June is deadline for Bioware and my money. If it weren't for the guild I am in and have played with for years I would have already went back to WOW or killed more time with other games like a replay through skyrim or more BF3 or Arkam city again...
  5. Bottom line this fight is easy as hell rule 1 - interupt incinerate as a TOP priority with ONLY the tank in front of him to avoid ever getting hit by the dot. If the tank gets it due to lack of interupt skills (yes if you interupt it fast enough there is no stacks at all) then the healer MUST cleanse it ASAP. rule 2 -the more range the easier the fight, all range shoudl stack up on this fight to control where the lightening balls drop. Melee should be in the corner of the platform as close to the edge of the fire grates as possible so that if a ball drops there it is easy to simply move the fight to an adjacent corner and continue. The range must make calcualted moves around the room keeping range on the boss and the tank at all times. rule 3 - nuke adds ASAP, they arent hard they are just annoying and take no time at all to kill with a little range dps. rule 4 - at 12% HP use all DPS CD's and nuke the boss (preferably right when he starts a induction timer target gunner attack that way you can burn him and he cant do anything else) tanks need to rotate CD's to make sure they can stay alive as the healer might have to move if dps is lacking. if you try this with 2 melee dps then the whole group must stay together and move together using similar tactics and it is MUCH harder to do but still based on player skill can be done with not much trouble. this fight is not that hard when done right with players that understand how to play the game well enough and understand the scripted fight mechanics.
  6. As it was the instance was actually fun and a challange as it is now the first boss doesnt drop lightening bubbles and is a general tank and spank that requires people to not breathe through their mouths 100% of the time..... It is called hardmode, call me crazy for enjoying the required spacial awareness that was needed to down the instance as compared to the garbage level of skill that is now required...
  7. I understand this is a "casual friendly" game but the stealth nerf to LI 1st boss really makes the place a joke on HM. At least before it required some skill now.....WOW I am betting its 2 manable with 2 pets.... Bioware Hardmodes should be just that....hard//.//
  8. Nightmare Pylans requires melee to have to move around to do their job (i.e. hit thier button then get to their mob, not that its hard at all but still range has do do NOTHING) SOA requires melee to run to the balls to pop then go dps which can be literally across the room, as well as run to DPS mind traps where again RDPS has do do NOTHING. JARG & SORNO require the melee to get out of the AOE fire spin attack where again LOL RDPS have to do nothing, Forman Crusher(not sure how you do it but we make everyone else move away from his target to avoid the swipe that way the target doesn't spin him into others) but again movement where RDPS has to do NOTHING. Karaga might be one of the few fights where there is decent balance... If you would have read the OP i made though it isn't the challange its the balance, I like the new content and have beat it all but facts are that there is a clear advantage to having RDPS (in general) over MDPS in almost EVERY SINGLE BOSS FIGHT. If that is hard to see because you have beat the content then you are clearly not the one coming up with the strategy and tactics in your groups. As the one that generally comes up with strats and tactics its clear as day that balance is needed.
  9. did you ever consider that in a game that is designed around the premise that 2 factions are at war with each other that you, the person expecting people to restrict their actions, are the one acting like an ******e be demanding people play by your rules, instead of the ones laid out by the creators?
  10. ...wow as soon as you see them attack one of the adds you run the boss off and have it drop agro and reset.... NOT HARD and do you expect them to not behave that way? you would be a fool to think that people woudl simply sit there and say "no no that mob that takes 2 hours to spawn you go ahead and kill it even though we want to do that too without waiting 2 more hours" and yes for the record going to the forums and making a giant thread over it is crying...we do this boss all the time on a pvp server with the highest population out of all servers to boot. its called timing and scheduling.
  11. what you propose would work WAY better than crying on the forums over it. You don't wven have to die, you just simply run them off rez up and if they try and steal the kill do the same to them.
  12. uhhm easy fix reset the boss and wait until they are gone. Coming to the forums and crying about it doesn't do anything at all.
  13. Let em start by saying I like the new content. IMO the problem I see is that most fights (not all) favor range DPS too much and in some cases put really strong barriers in place for melee classes. I am not saying that the content can not be done with melee as clearly it can and has been done by myself and others in my guild but I can tell you IMO there is a balance issue for boss fights. my 2 cents
  14. Wait wait....OP is complaining that on a pvp server there was PVP while fighting a world Boss? LOLOLOLOLOLOL Ima go out on a limb and say that bioware wants open world pvp to happen on pvp servers and maybe...just maybe that what you expereinced is EXACTLY what bioware wants.
  15. seriously lots of other games have done this without any trouble....bioware takle note and add a decent feature for every member to passively contribute to the guild bank. I.E. % of extra credits per guild member out collecting credits on their game experience. So player 1 kills a mob that mob drops 100 credits the guild bank automatically gets 10 credits or 5 or something......
