  1. Same problem here. I am also a sub and my queue position keeps rising and the wait time is increasing? This is stupid.

    Nerfs & Buffs

    I have a thought. Many of the people calling for nerfs will most likely not agree but whatever. Let's take the marauder for an example. Pre 3.0 the marauder was known as an OP class. Many people played it, they found it to be fun, and yes it WAS fun! Then... 3.0 hit and marauders were nerfed to the ground (mostly carnage, but that was the fun class we were referring to from pre 3.0). If every time there is an "OP" everyone starts calling for a nerf. And guess what will happen, they will get nerfed to the ground and not be fun to play anymore. This will continue to be a circular problem because the complaining and demanding of nerfs will never stop. One class will get nerfed, another will get buffed, and then OP OP OP to the newly buffed class. I think we can all admit, it is fun to play classes that are STRONG. Who wants to play a weak class? It's safe to say, that with exceptions of some personal opinions, many people currently find 4 AC's to be OP. That means that half of all advance classes in the game are OP and half are not. And please don't try to convince me that 1 or 2 are so much more OP than another. I'm not asking for that and I'm not going to hear you out because that is not what this thread is about. With those 4 OP/Strong classes you can pretty much take any 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, and 8v8 in any combo of those 4 classes and players of the same skill level, and you will have a good match as long as those players know how to best utilize the class they are playing (with the exception of certain classes matching up better against certain classes. That's just part of the game and has nothing to do with a class being OP.) So we have established that these 4 classes are fun to play and they play very well. Why not ask to bring the additional 4 advance classes up on their level rather then calling for a nerf of the classes that are already fun to play. If we continue to nerf class x and buff class y, think how hard it is going to be to eventually find that happy medium, which to be honest will probably never actually happen. Why do we not call for buffs of the classes that need it?! Bring everyone up on that level to feel powerful? Why do people want to attempt to ruin classes? Before you begin to bash my thoughts, let me remind you, "Carnage Marauder". Let's get some actual sophisticated conversations going, and end the constant annoying demands for nerfs. Maybe this is just my opinion, but I feel the constant calls for nerfs will not fix classes, but destroy them. And how will that fix "balance"? The nerfs will either be so large that it destroys the class, or so small, that people will still complain the class is OP. It's a lot harder to balance things both from the tops and bottom end.

    So from what I read from the majority of responses is that everyone claims bioware favors certain classes and does not care about the others. Along with those posts, many people continue to complain about how OP classes need to be nerfed. If you believe both of these then why are you all wasting your time complaining? Seriously... if bioware wants those classes to be OP then why waste the time complaining??? Why would you not ask for a buff if your class could use a buff? If bioware favors certain classes, do you truly think that they will nerf them? I doubt it. I'd think you are more likely to be heard about asking for buffs and offering suggestion to improve classes rather than to destroy others.

    Please stop. Try to talk to Bioware about fixing your own class if you have problems with it. This is a class you know and can most likely give a valuable opinion and input about. Please stop trying to fix everyone else's classes that you don't know. Ask yourself a couple of questions... What class do you enjoy? Why do you enjoy about it? What input do you have for your class? What are some suggestions to make your class compete better with other classes (if they currently can't)? Please just stop calling for nerfs of every class but yours. Your opinion is more valuable toward a class that you play and know. Be honest with yourself, if your calling for a nerf on a class, you don't play it. Because if you did you'd be happy to play it rather than nerf it. Maybe it would make more sense to focusing on encouraging improvement of the class you like to play that needs it.

    You totally missed the point... It does not matter what the devs do, THERE WILL ALWAYS BE IMBALANCES because of player skill level! You can scroll through the forums and find and OP thread on every class. The only way to fix imbalances is to turn this into a button mashing game. You don't see any of the good PVP player complaining on here because they are still kicking *** with their classes regardless of class changes. This includes maras... there are plenty of them out there still just wasting people away. This is an mmorpg and there are different classes and skills each which so many different tiny factors to take in and consider. I don't care how OP you think a class is, the skilled player will always win because they counter and factor in all of these tiny details. You can only dumb down this game so much until it literally just becomes Star Wars the Force Unleashed. So my point is, don't blame imbalance on the devs. The ultimate imbalance will always be skill.

    Oh please... cut the crap with all of the nerfing of so many classes. You simply get your *** kicked by sins because you don't know how to counter them. Keep in mind, they are stealth and therefore are great 1v1 classes, so you are just dumb to attempt to take one on in a 1v1. It also depends what class you are playing. Some classes are naturally a better counter to sins than others. If by almost immuned to cc you mean that they have deflection (which they have to take as a heroic be be given the cc immunity benefit), they are given immunity to stuns..... not slows, pushbacks, roots, etc (2 minute CD). And sins also have force shroud which lasts for 3 seconds i believe and 5 if you take an additional discipline (1 min CD). That's at max 18% partial cc immunity every 2 minutes with only 8% of that being full cc immunity if and only if you take 2 additional disciplines to receive these benefits. Every class has a hard stun on approximately a 1 min CD. So that means during that 2 minutes, you have a stun that can be used approximately 2 times and 82% of that 2 minutes I am vulnerable to your stuns! As I said, you just don;t know how to counter the class. Most people freak out as soon as a sin pops from stealth and begins dropping their health, so the instant reaction (mistake) they make is STUN to buy time. Well, any decent sin knows this, so what do we do? Pop deflection or shroud and you just wasted your hard stun. The high damage you are seeing is mostly just from hatred sins and this is because they can spread DOTs. It's fluff damage and will not do much if no one is attacking you while the DOTs tick away. Check the kill to damage ratio. So many times, you will see a sin who did 1.5 mill but had like 5 kills. That's not really benefiting a team at all. What strong defensive skills are you referring to? Deflection once every 2 min? Force shroud? Once again we talked about these. They only account for 18% of every 2 mine. Or are you referring to the good defense such as the light armor we wear (sarcasm)? Stuns: Sins have 1 hard stun just like everyone else on a 1 min CD or 45 seconds if you take a specific discipline. They have whirlwind which is there soft stun like everyone else. This is a 2 second channeled ability unless they take a discipline to activate it instant. So they cant continue to attack you and keep you stunned with it. This one also shoots up your resolve. We have mind trap which can only be used while in stealth. Once again is a soft stun and fills a ton of resolve. Deception has low slash. YES, multiple sins can lock you up with their hard stuns but one sin not as much as you think. They can interrupt you with a bunch of their soft stuns but guess what, you get cc immunity real quick with those from resolve. Look, I will not deny sins are a good class, but they can be countered like any other class. Everyone thinks they are OP because they see the high damage numbers they put up from DOT spreading. And everyone else who thinks they are OP... these are the people that all want to be GOD and just 1v1 anyone and anything. Whenever you have a hard time killing that specific person or class... all of the sudden they are OP. Did you ever think that it might just be yourself? Also, I will tell you first hand, you are dumb to try to 1v1 a sin. They are the best 1v1 class in the game. They are built for it, but that does not make the OP. Learn how to counter class like you learned how to complain. For the record, I stand by this with every other class as well. Including sorcs. All classes have their strength and weakness and all players have different skill levels. Stop blaming imbalance on devs....
  7. Personally I am open to ANY new PVP content that you give us because this is the only portion of the game I play. But......................... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix the FPS issues before you do anything. It's clearly a problem on the developers end. There are plenty of people with high end computer getting terrible FPS in WZ's. Please!!!!!!!!!!!! this is all I ask is for lag free PVP with my solid computer.
  8. Are you retarded? This would basically get rid of the entire PVP community. If they are going to get rid of something, then it should be bolster. I along with plenty of other player spend at least 90% of my game play doing PVP. What the hell would we have to work for anymore or to show for the hours of grinding out for our PVP gear? You know the saying "you want your cake, and to eat it too"? You also are asking for ice cream, pie, and pudding. If this were ever done, this would be the ultimate f*** you to PVP players. If you want to PVP and to be highly geared, you can spend the time grinding out with the rest of us. If your primary focus is PVE and you occasionally want to play warzones... tough luck. Your just lazy along with anyone else who agrees.
  9. Sins in a 1v1 a meant to be good. There is no arguing that. That doesn't mean that they need a nerf or anything. We have stealth and therefore you will see you health drop quick because we are hitting you FIRST and with all of our heaviest attacks and/or DOTs right away. The attempt is to lower you quicker then you have the chance to respond. Honestly you just have to not panic and actually make logical counter choices. Don't waste your stun right away know that I will pop my cleanse and make me immune. Save it and use it later. If you are for example an operative that not only can cleanse Dots but also get a 30% damage reduction to DOTs, we have almost no chance against you. Other classes will be easier for a Sin to take down. That just how the mechanics of the game work. For a example a mara vs a gunslinger... not happening. A Sin without its CD's is super squishy and very easy to take down though. I play both a jugg and Sin. I am able to take a jugg with my sin and take a sin with my jugg because I know when and how to counter. But there are better players out there that can simply beat me because they are better with their class. It is just important to know and understand both your class and the other classes.
  10. I agree with this post! I spend about 95% of my game time playing PVP and I absolutely love it. But it is impossible to have fun when you are at 50% and next thing you know, you get some lag for a second or 2 or forever and then you are dead when you could have used CD's that you didn't know to use. Not to mention lag and low fps looks horrible and is no fun to play with. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do something about this Bioware. I love the game and want to continue to subscribe for the very reason of PVP. But I will be honest... I am very on the edge of giving up if it is not fixed sometime soon. It is just not playable and ruins the fun. Please open your eyes and realize you have a very FUN, fast pace, and competitive aspect of your game that many people love. PVP should be given more attention and this should not be overlooked.
  11. To You: I didn't post to receive criticism toward me and other players. I posted to have a discussion. I love how you automatically imply that I'm bad because of a post. Please... I agree that often it is the good "competitive" player who tend to leave. I chose not to because I want the coms. But despite what your little brain can handle.... YES your team is disadvantaged when your waiting for a full spawn of 3 news players. We are talking at least 30 seconds to 1 minute to replace these people and have them in the fight. That's 8v5 if your unsure of the math there. Even if you have 1 healer, you are still at a major disadvantage. They can have 2 on the healer and 6 on the other 4. I promise you will get your *** kicked in that situation. Doesn't matter how good you are unless the other team is horrible. But in this situation they wouldn't be, because your team members would have never left in the first place. 90% of my game play is PVP. I know what I'm talking about. To everyone else: Thanks for the responses without criticism. After reading, I do agree that it would not work to penalize those who leave. But as I said, maybe there is still a way to reward those who stay as an incentive to stay.
  12. I feel like this is a problem that should be addressed. It is quite annoying and unfair when you are in a WZ such as ancient hyper gate and your team starts off losing early, and 2-3 just drop out. You then have to wait for additional players to be added or don't get any at all. Your team then loses ALL momentum and also becomes at a huge disadvantage in that period of bringing in new players. "I will admit that there are occasional times when you end up getting better players which end helping your team more, but this is usually not the case." I have also seen treads about people doing this in sub 60 as well to avoid leveling up. That's a slightly different problem, but both seem to be subjects to address. Bioware: Maybe they should be penalized for leaving early, or possibly reward those who stay. Ultimately I don't have a perfect and ideal solution, but it just seems unfair and annoying. I think that most people would agree unless they are the people doing it. Anyone have any good ideas or solutions to contribute?
  13. haha wow.... lets talk about how many gap closers/30 meter range abilities a melee has? For example, a warrior (leap, saber throw, endure pain(kinda)). Sorcs not only have "lets call them gap extenders" such as roots, stuns, and force speed, but they have almost every damage dealing attack at a 30 meter range. It is soooooooo much easier for a ranges class to spam at 30 meters than it is for a melee to keep the gap close. Not to mention, sorcs have heals, an immunity bubble, and another bubble that absorbs damage., A highly skilled sorc vs a highly skilled melee will win every time. There is absolutely no person on earth who can argue with that.
  14. Sorcs have never been slaughtered unless focused, as does pretty much any class. They are a ranged class and therefore should not have much survivability. They have freaking range on their side. They can just sit in the corner and DPS all of the melee fighting it out in the middle. If a melee jumps to them then they can kite which should be their main for of defense. If you get focused, tough luck just like everyone else. Great survivability should come from their skill at using the character to maintain distance. Distance is their advantage. They should not just simply be granted great survivability along with range and high dps. They basically get everything. Melee and tank classes should mainly be the classes with the best survivability as they are targeted often and a lot. Every class has a weakness. Answer me this.... what is the sorc's weakness?
  15. You can grind out and get the PVP gear just like everyone else. Then, you don't have to worry about bolster. You are basically asking for a charity. PVE gear should not ever be equal to PVP gear in warzones. What fun is mmo without having to actually earn and work for something? Plus people who like to PVP a lot should be rewarded for that with something that benefits them in PVP. Might as well just ask if we can start skipping levels 1-59 too right?
