  1. To say that the game is a success is foolish, it just has not been out long enough. Put your fanboy away and think logically and objectively using the evidence we have. I think that anyone with half a brain can look at the servers, the forums, reddit and elsewhere and decide that this game is in a very perilous condition. Something people who play the game on the 99% dead servers could tell you already. I think that the game was overhyped and was a disappointment to a lot of people. I think that the people in charge were callous in their planning and execution. I also believe that the game was rushed out when it was not ready. People don't want to pay to play a beta, when there are so many better and polished options out there. One thing that I am sure of is that without a LOT of work, this game is headed down a path that could lead to it being the biggest disaster in MMO history.I hope they come through and fix things, then maybe i'll even resub somewhere down the line. Everything I have seen up to this point from EA and Bio-ware gives me no confidence in their ability to turn things around. I get that some people are happy and that some guilds are still active, but you have an ignorant and myopic view if you think nothing is wrong. I would reccomend a psych eval for anyone who thinks its a success. I don't think anyone can say that there is one positive trend happening in SWTOR right now. Sure they don't F everything up, but I want consistent success not consistent disappointment. One of the reasons my sub was cancelled is customer service, they make Comcast look good.
  2. I agree. More over through the pre-order system Bio-ware forced me onto what is now a dead server. I paid a total of $200 for (4 @ $50) char transfers with items in SWG, I would not pay EA/Bioware a single penny to transfer all 6 of my TOR characters. At this point I really don't have any faith in the management and dev team, it's a shame really. I have already bought and have been playing other games. I had hoped time away would help me enjoy TOR again, but It's actually harder to go back and play TOR after enjoying games that are well though out and reasonably executed. Due to RL and IG family, friends and guildies I am still hanging on, but I have all but given up on this game.
  3. Everyone needs to make a decision for themselves as to whether they are satisfied with the product and service that they are paying for. I guess the question I would pose to the OP would be Why? Why should anyone be patient, so they are still there for your mmo experience? There are PLENTY of well made games out there for people to play. This game simply is not well made. Could it be fixed? Yes. Have we seen anything in the last 6 months that would give anyone confidence in bio-wares ability to do so? Absolutely not! 6 Months into the game and there are swtill many glaring problems, Implementation and execution have been abysmal, basic and expected mmo functionality is absent, customer service rivals Comcast's as the worst possible and the list could go on for a long time. If this was KOTOR 3 it would have been fine, but it is not and things are not fine. Time will show TOR to be either a complete failure or a huge disappointment and heads will roll at EA and Bio-Ware regardless. ACtive subs were down 25% they said. This number is misleading. Many who have cancelled are still considered active if there accounts have not lapsed yet. the server populations tell a obvious story. I beleive it was primetime (Eastern timezone) last saturday that I looked and only 1 server was heavy and all but a couple were light. This game is not healthy and without quick and drastic action it will continue to slide into failure. I wish it wasnt this way, but it is and those who are saying this game is fine are in denial.
  4. Nope, not at all. If every OP and FP was at a differnt locale there would be no central place for people to look for group members as they would be spread out. Your idea would make the current condition of underpopulated server even worse.
  5. ROFL! Didnt they start working on TOR in '08? I like this game alot, but frankly Bio-ware deserves every bit of ire directed at them. Their overall execution of TOR is pathetic and whoever was/is in charge should be removed.
  6. lack of chat bubbles kills immersion and impacts community. Just another thing customers expect from MMO's that bio-ware didnt care to provide.
  7. Lol, speak for yourself, I don't know if I've seen a dumber statement all month. This game will probably die regardless, but world pvp is make or break for pretty much ANYONE on a pvp server.
  8. So your leader had loot set up and the character in question received the loot because it was his turn? Seems like this should be a thread about don't group with person X as a group lead... This doesnt meet the criteria for a loot ninja-ing imo. PS. I'm republic on another server
  9. Actually all purple med kits are INFERIOR although re-usable to any of the blue medkits that any profession can use. please look again
  10. As a sawbones scoundrel bowdar is great. That being said I keep him as up to date as possible with new gear. I can't stand Corso's grappling hook and Bowdarr's character goes along with my style of character and it's its easy to score point with the big furball affection wise. Also a guildy recently told me that you need to activate his shield? I don't have a problem either way, Not sure if that is the same as the stance or not. I can see how not having the heals would make bowdarr pretty useless.
