  1. Well that's what I get for never playing a trooper.
  2. Did you see this big silly grin right after "FALSE ADVERTISING"? That meant I was kidding.
  3. I haven't done that story line so I didn't recognize the scene. Oh well.. FALSE ADVERTISING!
  4. I read an article about 2.1 today... and the image with the article showed several races in Gree armor.. Cathar was there of course.. but there was also a Gand. Are the new Image Design Kiosks going to allow you to switch to more than just Cathar as a new race? http://www.swtorstrategies.com/2013/05/swtor-game-update-2-1-brings-name-updates.html

  6. Honestly, if they'd just taken headshot, I'd be a lot more understanding, but they took both. It annoys me that they think removing situational abilities is some sort of fix. Basically people didn't like having to pay attention... face-roll for the win I guess.
  7. The are not completely redundant just because you think they are, but they are used less often. Why remove options that aren't hurting the game? I've given several suggestions on how they could have been kept and made more useful. Fairly obvious things that any decent developer would have thought of already. The problem, IMO, is that they took the easy way out in getting rid of them. The right thing to do would have been to make them more useful (even if it meant another week before that particular thing was updated.
  8. On the money right there. A friend of mine suggested a way to make them more useful: The could be fairly average regular (possible weaker) attacks that would work on opponents who are not stunned. However, on stunned opponents they generate an automatic criticals. Combine that with the an idea I saw on another thread, that changes the ability to stun from a completely immobilized/can't do anything condition, to a slowed movement, and slower cool-downs for abilities. This would fit nicely with the way they revamped alacrity. In the end , high alacrity would temper the effects of the stun, but not eliminate them completely. Stun would not be totally negated, and alacrity would have even more usefulness.
  9. I reflexively worked head-shot and eviscerate into rotations when the situations were right. Eviscerate was also just a fun way to take someone out as a sniper (style points do count, dammit). My question is: What harm were these abilities causing? They certainly weren't making anyone overpowered...
  10. Thanks for the reply. I despise those who hack games, but I also don't want to make false accusations. I feel this particular instance was someone who knew how to hack or was purposefully exploiting a bug. It was Voidstar and I saw 2 doors and bridge activated with no visible toon nearby. On top of that, the speed of the arming and bridge activation was the fastest I've ever seen (and I've seen and been rolled over by plenty of pre-mades). One more question: What is the proper way to report something like this? If I can't see the player who's cheating than it's rather hard to tell who did it.
  11. Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere. Is there an ability that allows you to stay completely invisible while arming a door bomb or claiming a node? I have previously seen the teleport hack and I'm wondering if I might be seeing another hack now. I'm never sure if I'm seeing a speed hack or if someone just has a speed boost going.
  12. I'm a transplant from Mind Trick to C. Run, and I make no claims that I'm a "pro" PvPer, but I try hard to not do stupid things and many times sacrifice personal "glory" in order to achieve team victory. Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but I find it cheap and lazy to just quit or camp a node because things don't look good 30 seconds into a battle. Just yesterday in a HB match I noticed that it looked like I was the only one on my team trying to stop the ball carrier, and I let the "team" know it. They had all been hanging out at mid fighting for personal gain. The only excuse I got was that we had only 6 people. Someone else (can't think of the name), then pointed out that the opposing team only had 7, and everyone seemed to wake up a little. We still lost the match, but only by 1 point. Just a little bit of leadership can go a long way.
  13. Thanks, I do enjoy the bling, and I honestly think PvP is fun, but ranked seems a bit of a hassle right now.
