Thats what the wife and i figured too,so we bought 2 copies of a game that is now free,and sub'd 2 accounts since day 1 to get told,thanks for all you support and by the way,you need to support us more if you want the new goodies. Question is,do we get the new level cap if we dont buy the so called expansion?

And what about the subs who dont buy it,will we be denied the the 5 new levels?

This seems more like a DLC vs an expansion. wont take long to do the 5 levels. I wont get it anytime soon,charge the f2p's for it,i already paid for the game and 2 subs. for a small update it should be free to subs. Maybe if enough subs dont buy it they will rethink the model, i doubt it though.

considering some of us are on fixed incomes,10 bucks is a lot, but seeing as you think its nothing why dont you buy it for me.

OK this is getting annoying as ...well you know. Why do my companions keep disappearing? happens no matter what charactor i'm running, every 10-15 minutes i notice i have lost my companion......well not lost...i know where they are,according to my map they are with me,but i'l be dipped if i can see em. This keeps happening durring fights. And from what i see in chat i aint the only one. didnt happen until the last patch or 2. and ya i know "just dismiss them and then call em back". ya ya,i shouldnt have to keep doing that.

I'm all for PvP on the "PvP" servers,thats why they are there. I dont care for PvP,must be why i only play on PvE servers. So forcing me to go to a PvP area "IF" i want to complete the mission is Bullhucky! Just one more reason to unsub when F2P goes live.

oh i am very aware of that fact, and the fact they only seem to delete some posts. However i was not saying anything for or against BW or EA or who ever happens to be in charge these days. I was comenting on the fact that the packets seem to represent gambling, As a parent in a "family game" and having reservations about kids gambling online i posted a valid concearn. Well not valid to them seeing as they deleted my replys.

Well so much for freedom of speach. Mods deleted my reply 2 times now just because i pointed out that there are multiple web sites out there already selling SWTOR gear for cash. So yes they will be buying these packets for a monetary gain. so yes these packets are gambling and there is real world money to be made. and for that reason alone i thing its a bad idea.

Seems to me that if things like the "Nihilus mask" are random so you need to keep buying until you get it, would be considered gambling.

If i want a "SOCIAL EXPERIENCE" i take the wife out on the town,or go hang out in a Bar, have folks over for a BBQ. Sitting in a chair,staring at a screen while running around online with people you dont in most cases know, who you will never probly meet is not socializing. Interacting maybe, but that to is a stretch.

ya so all that great lvl 50 gear you did the grind for becomes worthless, oh wait you can fix that with Cartel Coins! silly me.

But then all that cool lvl 50 gear wont be almost worthless for the new lvl's and you wont buy coins to upgrade to new gear to get through the new lvl's

This is why us solo players are here! and this "then dont play a MMO" line is older than my grandmother. That seems to be the usual answer ever time a subject like this comes up. we pay like everybody else. ( well until nov anyway). They should adjust for team size or lack there of.
