  1. I don't know if anyone has thought of this yet, but I see a lot of people complaining about loosing guild property during a merger. That can be solved easily via refunds. I've been a guild leader for most of this game's existence, including the last round of server mergers (which were a blessing at the time). Back then, customer services refunded you the price of forming a guild, your guild bank & any tabs you may have had once you arrived on your destination server. This could easily be done again, but also with regards to guild strongholds/flagships & decos. BW would have to catalog what everyone had, but it would be easy enough for Customer Service to refund the appropriate amount of credits & decos to the guilds GM after mergers were complete. PS: Please merge, I would like to be able to PvP again.........
  2. As someone playing on a dead server (POT5), it is my opinion that one of four things need to happen: sever merges, mega servers, decreased sub prices for dead servers, or cross sever Que. Anything that does not fall into those categories will not be acceptable to my guild -- Tao Covenant. Honestly, we've debated filing a joint complaint with the BBB on multiple occasions. Unless we hear some kind of communication soon this option is till on the table. As it stands, we cannot play half the game on our sever. PvP only pops once or twice a week for a couple hours when guilds make it pop, & GSF never pops -- ever. As a result, I can count the amount of times I've PvP'd this year on my hands....which is a shame because I used to PvP & GSF a great deal back in the day. Bottom line, we shouldn't have to pay full price to play the game when we don't have full access to it on our server. I personally would have migrated long ago, but my guild refuses to leave our guild property (flagship, decos, bank, & etc). I don't care if I loose all my toon names.....I just want to be able to play the game again......please for the love of god do something. I've been here since Beta & all I do is raid log because I can't play the game the way I want anymore. I literally don't care about anything else this game does until sever populations are addressed in a meaningful way. We needed sever mergers after the casual raiding crowd died after "Shadow of Revan", let alone now or during the travesty that was "story story story". I don't want to be a jerk, but it's EAs fault my server is that way it is, & asking me to pay to remedy the problem is offensive to say the least -- mismanagement.
  3. Dear Keith, So far I've been impressed with your level of engagement with the community, & I can only hope that continues -- kudos. However, I do have a pressing concern that has not been answered nor addressed in recent years, a concern that troubles my entire guild -- ignored concerns. I am the guild master of Tao Covenant (pub) & BC-Tao Covenant (imp) on the Prophecy of the Five server. Your road map indicates that a new Warzone will be coming to the game. however, this content cannot even be played on our server due to it's population. PvP only pops on selected nights when guilds make an active effort to make it do so, & as a result I can count the amount of times I've PvPed on two hands over the last year. Do you have any plans to address this issue? If not, do you have plans to reduce the cost of subscriptions on dead servers like ours? I hardily think it's fair to charge us full price when we cannot play your entire game. I've tried to reach out to you via back channeling though some "influencers" in the community, but this hasn't yielded much in the way of results. If you cannot comment on this publicly, a phone call or PM would be appreciated. Thank you for your time, ~Lecto-Sama PS: Yes we are aware of server transfers, but my guild refuses to leave our guild property behind (flagship & etc). Beyond that we would prefer to stay on an East Coast server & do not want to transfer to Harb, but I've recently heard that population size is starting to shrink on JC & Shadowlands as well.
  4. Question, what should people be parsing for HM & NiM content right now? Back in 4.0 I know it was about 5500 (HM) & 6000+ (NiM), but I'm totally clueless as to what folks are shooting for in 5.0.
  5. Diminishing? Some have been long past dead for some time now. ./signed
  6. Roff, "Story, story, story" is killing the game, why do you think they are changing focus all the sudden again? The old PvP servers have been dead for a while now, but even the decent PvE servers (Harb aside) are starting to suffer & show signs of decay. All the community Podcasts are talking about it. You solo players had you chance & weren't profitable. I do have a bit of constructive advice for you though. One, go buy an actual single player story oriented game that will do an infinitely better job of telling a story. You know the new Mass Effect is coming out soon right? Two, just unsub now & come back around September & sub till the new expansion drops -- unsub again. Honestly, if you're not here for the MMO content there is no reason to be here full-time when you can just sub for a couple of months & play everything for a fraction of the price -- my opinion. PS: I say this because it's what I'm thinking about doing. I could go put my hard-earned money into another MMO that will deliver content in a respectable manner & provide actual server maintenance. This game does neither...... PSS: Long-time player.....been here since beta.....subed since beta......used to be a white-knight......... Good luck, ~Lecto-Sama
  7. Just a update as to the viability of "onslaught": ----- 1). These would be quick, cheap, & easy to develop....which seems to be what Bioware is looking for. All you need to do is create arena maps for existing or new NPCS to spawn in. Heck, you could just recycle old game elements to make these...you know like they did with all the uprisings...... 2). Uprisings proved that Bioware has the ability to spawn waves of NPCs. 3). Eternal Championship proved they can make wave bosses. 4). The "Temporary Ability Bar" can be used to for class abilities as mentioned earlier in this thread. Regards, ~Lecto-Sama PS: Please just rip-off "Gears of War" 3 or 4 horde mode already.........
  8. Bumping due to POT5 still being dead & no mention of mergers in yesterdays live-stream.
  9. CXP is a game killer for casual players like myself, the grind is just too much. It doesn't make me want to play your game more, in fact it's caused me to start playing other games & care less because I have no chance of keeping up. Here are my recommendations: ------ 1). Bring back the old gearing system for ops in addition to GC. I can guess that EA made you kill it so to artificially increase the life-spam of old/new content. I get why you did it as it's obvious your staff has been cut in half (or less) & cannot create content at a fraction of the pace of other MMOs on the market. 2). You said you wanted to make gearing simpler with GC & CXP (not true likely, see #1), but the new token system is even more complicated than the old token system (which wasn't that bad). So, stick with your design philosophy & keep the token-less model. Instead, implement an "experience" based system that can be used on one gear slot at a time. Fill up a bar....get a piece of gear...select a new slot. Or, get the piece you were looking for randomly via GC, pick another slot & start over. Each tier of gear could require more XP or CXP -- simple. Simple is good, but an excessive grind is not. Regards, ~Lecto-Sama
  10. Resputin, Don't be so daft, he's talking about WoW & everyone knows it. I have no clue what they are are up to & I gathered as much. Furthermore, I'd be more than happy to pay for an expansion if it meant actual server maintenance & a decent amount of content: class stories, multiple PvP/GSF maps, multiple raids, multiple uprisings, & etc.
  11. Eric, I'd like to provide you with some constructive feedback, but I warn you most of it isn't positive given my experience with the game over the last year & a half or so. ----------------- **Good Feedback** -- 1). The presentation values in the game are top notch at the moment -- kudos. The game has come a long way since when I started in back in Beta, & truly the game has never been more beautiful than it is now. The visual enhancements applied back in 4.0 are very good. 2). I really do enjoy Uprisings, & so does everyone in my guild. I hope you make more of these as times goes forward. It's nice to have a group-play option that isn't as intensive as Ops or Flash-Points. Besides, it's about the only content we can play on our server in a reliable fashion....... 3). Thank you for making the "Omni-story" more engaging in 5.0. There are two distinct paths in KoTFT that could warrant at least two play-throughs as opposed to one with KoTET. This is a good thing given how most us are very unmotivated to play through it more than once. Don't get me wrong, it's a good story, but once you've seen it you've seen it. It could still use more variance & branching paths, but it's a good start. Also try not to lean on death so much as a "choices matter" consequence; moreover, it becomes cheap when over used. Death can be a powerful plot point when used correctly, but when over used loses its effect. Beyond that, death is only impactful if you have some kind of emotional bond with your companions...which you aren't allowed to form because they don't get enough screen time or "alone time". You guys could take a few notes from the Mass Effect team in this area. Additionally, death doesn't matter in this game because your surviving characters drop off the face of the known galaxy never to be heard from again if they even had the slightest chance to die in the main story -- bummer. Better yet....you could just bring back class missions....which would solve most of the "Omni-story" complications. 4). I'm really happy to see the return of Ops, moreover, it's been far too long. I mean you guys practically killed the MMO community with "story, story, story", but I think you know this & that's why you've changed focus again. In addition to "Story, story, story" likely not retaining subscriptions. I'm not so sure I care about the new daily area, but am overjoyed to see the return of ops. I think it's a shame you can only do it at the expense of all other traditional SWTOR "MMO bits": GSF, PvP, & etc. Seriously, tell EA to open their dusty greedy coffers & give you guys a decent sized staff again. You have to spend money to make money, & at the rate you guys develop content you'll never be able to satisfy any of your individual MMO subsections. PS: Please DO NOT over-tune the new raid. ToS & RAV were far too difficult in story mode. I was around when they launched back in 3.0 & they killed the casual raiding crowd on POT5. Please tune this new operation to be more akin to EV, KP, DP, & DF. "Hardcore" raiders have long since left for other games during the "story, story story" MMO content drought that would have wanted ToS level challenge. To be honest, ToS is still too difficult in story mode...... ----------------- **Bad FeedBack** -- 1). Server population, this is literally the only thing my guild cares about right now. I asked about this issue 4 or 5 times yesterday during the Dev stream very politely only to be ignored. My server (POT5) has been dead for about a year & a half now, having only seen a slight & temporary bump at the release of 4.0. I've been a loyal subscriber since beta, & frankly I'm not feeling the love anymore. This new "group content focus" doesn't matter worth a salt if we can't play it on our server. I can count the amount times I've played the newest War-Zone on two hands, & the amount of times I've been able to play the new arena on one hand. Why you ask, because PvP hasn't popped reliably on POT5 in over a year.....with ranked & GSF being much longer than that. We are a Pub-side raiding guild at heart, & there have been many many nights when we can't get a raid off the ground because the server is depleted & we can't pug for open spots. Seriously, address this issue....I don't care how....just do it & do it soon. I've found myself caring less & less about SWTOR since 4.0 because I can't play half the game on my server with toons & friends I care about. I shouldn't have to log into the Harbinger on a toon I couldn't care less about just to PvP or play GSF with lag. On Ootinicast's 5 year anniversary episode you promised to do what made sense after the New Year, well its made sense for the last year & a half now. It would be nice if you kept your word for once. If there is one thing that could make me quit this game & disband my guild after 5 years, it's this issue....& frankly I'm not sure how much I have left in me....... 2). CXP has turned out to be a very flawed system. I didn't mind it so much at first, but over time I've come to notice it's more crippling issues. Foremost, it's a terrible system for casual players like myself. I do not have the time to be a hardcore player at this point in my life, & as a result there will come a point where most players in my guild will out-gear me with no avenue to catch up. As a result, there will come a time when we won't be able to play together with my guildies without being a burden as they move onto harder content. Prior to 5.0 this wasn't an issue, but as an individual with a career, necessary self-care, & a family I just don't have time to make grinding CXP another part-time job -- GG. And as previously mentioned....my server is dead.....so I can't PvP or GSF to try & play catch up....in fact...I really can't get any meaningful amount of CXP alone in what little spare-time I have to myself. While I am aware of the new CXP account unlocks...with those being per-toon & very expensive they aren't exactly a realistic option without a viable economy on my server. Moreover, I used to be able to sell Stims & Adrenals....can't do that on a dead server....... ---------- In summation, I am very displeased with the current state of the game, mostly due to my experience with it on POT5. I do apologize for being so harsh, but it's how I've felt for a long time. I'm just not having a good time with this game anymore. I'm very excited to see the return of proper group content, but it's just not playable on my server for the most part. I wish you all well in your future endeavors. Regards, ~Lecto-Sama
  12. I'm just making an offical bump on behalf of Tao Covenant. As Wiffle said (thank you btw), we're always looking for new raiders & guildies on our lovely little dead server. You can always contact us on Pub side via the chat channel "POT5" at or shortly before raid time. See you on the battlefield friends!! Kind Regards, GM of Tao, ~Lecto-Sama
  13. My brother & I were PvPing yesterday for about an hour around 2:00pm est, & we got a total of two matches. Neither match was full. Is PvP that dead on "The Shadowlands"? I doubt it. "The Bad Feeling" Podcast is always hyping "The Shadowlands". They say pops are regular over there -- GSF & Regs.
  14. I agree wholeheartedly, but #POT5 is a wasteland now......& if paying is our only option to get out intact I'm more than willing to do so. Like I stated earlier, I know Bioware doesn't care about us, but I know they care about money -- bill me!! PS: I think it was more than just poor marketing....keeping CC on sale for so long....and a lack of new group content really put a damper on things.
  15. Fellow #POT5 residents, please lend me your ears, I've created a thread promoting "paid guild property" transfers. If you're still here, please sign my thread & state why you would like to leave #POT5. I know they don't care about our server, but they do care about making money....lets try to motivate that angle. Thank you for your time, ~Lecto-Sama http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=882166
  16. Bioware, I play on #POT5, a dead server where my guild & I have been marooned for months now. We've been patently waiting for sever mergers & "better than cross-server" -- no luck. Our guild has suffered huge losses because of the server we are stuck on: members have transferred without our guild, members have become less active, & others have simply quit. We have a healthy core at the moment, but I don't know how long that will last. I know you guys have zero interest in us as individuals whom play your game, but all signs to point to you valuing us as sources of revenue. If you really cared at all you would have merged servers months ago, so I'm appealing to your accountants. I don't think I should have to pay for a Flagship transfer, after-all, it was your mismanagement of the game that put my server in the situation it's in. But, I'm more than willing to do so at this point. My guild wants to move to the Shadow-Lands, but most of our members do not wish to part with guild property. Being a small guild, it would be a most tiring process to start over fresh on a new server. If it wasn't for our flagship, we would have left long ago. Eventually we'll likely leave anyway, either that or quit. But, we'd prefer to just pack up all of our stuff & move, & we're willing to pay to do it: GSF no longer pops, it takes hours to assemble a raid, Ranked PvP has been dead, & our server's economy is dead. Below are features I'd like to see in a paid guild transfer: --------------------------------------------------------------------- 1). This feature should copy all guild property to a server of choice: Decos, Strongholds, Flagship, & Guild Bank. The data on the origin server can be deleted after the transfer has completed. 2). The transfer should be tied to the Guild Master of a guild. 3). Once the transfer has been processed, all previous belongings should be unlocked on the new server once the guild has been reformed. Similar to the process that happens with a character's legacy upon transfer. 4). As part of the process, the game should send an auto-mail to every member of the guild with the following information: the guild name, a short message from the GM, where the guild transferred to, & when the guild transferred. 5). If possible, all guild members should be offered discounted server transfers after the "guild transfer" has been purchased for a limited period of time -- one month. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Please make this possible, moreover, we still love this game.....but it's getting really hard to play it on #POT5. We don't care how much it costs -- just make it happen. So long & thanks for all the fish, ~Every member of Tao Covenant
  17. **UPDATE 3.28.16** -Added a new "social conquest" event -- every Saturday at 3:00pm est. -Still seeking new members.
  18. Bioware/Evil-EA Overloads, I didn't see an offical thread about chapter 10 or 11, & it's been my custom to provide feedback over the years. Feel free to post your own below: **Pros** *There have been a lot of QoL improvements as of late. These are always welcome, so keep it up!! I just hope they aren't taking staff from the development of new War-Zones, GSF maps, or Ops........... *As with the original KorFE release material, both chapters 10 & 11 have had amazing production value & quality. I personally preferred chapter 11 to 10, moreover, it flowed a lot better & didn't drag on like chapter 10 did. Fed-ex missions are always bad....... *We've finally started to see some minor differences in regards to the missions depending on your class. Keep it up, this adds to the replayabilty of the KotFE content -- which is low. *Toward the end of chapter 10 there is a mini boss fight that has some mechanics -- kinda like an ops boss. Please give me more of these & less skytroopers......... **Cons** *The replaybilty of all the KotFE content is horrendously low. Going forward, there have to be branching story paths based on your choices (even if they all end at the same place), or there has to be MAJOR differences between the classes. As it stands, the chapters are great your first couple times though.....but they get old fast..... -- *Chapters 10 & 11 have so far lacked any new group content of any kind. This is an MMO still right? Folks need something to do when they get tired of running single-player story content. * *Both chapters 10 & 11 were filled with bugs at launch. People are growing tired of this trend. When you offer early-access as the main reward of staying subscribed, said loyal customers shouldn't be subject to these sort of issues. Is this content tested at Bioware before being released? Also, would it hurt to release new content on PTS a night or two before it goes live just to see what happens bug wise? Overall Impression: If you guys (I'm looking at you EA) are trying to drag out SWTOR & milk every last penny out of it that you can, you're doing an awesome job --GG! However, if you're really trying to compete with other MMOs & are still endeavoring to be the number 1 MMO -- I'm very worried. I've been here since beta, & I love SWTOR.....but you guys gotta change the path you're on. I love all the new KOTFE stuff, but it's not unique enough to warrant more than one or two play-throughs. At least when we were getting new OPS that would hold us over for about 6 months. The way I see it, we either need the KOTFE experience to have more replayabilty built into it (class missions/branching story paths ["choices matter"]), or we need group content on a more regular basis -- sooner rather than later. Learn from your past mistakes please, this is how you killed the PvP servers -- no new content since 03/2014. At this moment you're doing a pretty good job of killing the PvE servers too -- no new ops since 12/2014. This is why my server (POT-5) is a ghost town. Speaking of, what happened to "better than cross server"? I'm still here, & I love SWTOR......but every day more & more community web sites & Podcasts are going dark.....look around you...you're killing you're game. I don't know if you know this, but you're still competing with WoW & Final Fantasy XIV -- you're getting shellacked. You either need to hire more staff, fire the managers, or divert personnel from other projects if you're still trying to compete -- my opinion. You're stuck with the new story approach....try to get rid of it & you'll have an outcry....BUT, that cannot be all this game is & still be an MMO long-term. I just don't think it's sustainable.......... Overall Grade based on recent content: C+
  19. **UPDATE 3.14.16** -One officer position removed due to successful Guild Election. -Officer contact list updated.
  20. For the running idea in this thread no, but I'd totally sign off on this idea for the Eternal Championship since it's solo content anyway.
  21. Flagships, Strongholds, Guild, & Guild property.
  22. **Update 1.30.16** Turn out for our Wednesday & Sunday raids have been awesome as of late -- join us!! PS: Officer positions are still available for those interested in that sort of thing.
  23. I'll be honest, when I first herd of the Eternal Championship I thought for sure it would be similar, but it's not sadly -- not even close. To start with it's more single player content, which doesn't make any sense to me at all. Couldn't they have just scaled the mobs for more people? I just don't think it's good policy for an MMO to disincentiveise group play......... On the other side, at least something similar to what we want is in the game......which means it wouldn't be that hard to program down the road. I'll come back to this thread to compare after the release of the Eternal Championship, but I'm not expecting great things overall.
  24. To whom it may concern, I've been scouring the forums for a bit this morning in an attempt to find a concise answer somewhere, but with no luck. So I'm hoping all you lovely people can assist me! Does anyone know what recommended parsing numbers are for this game in 4.0? For instance, if you'd like to run HM ops, what should you be parsing? Similarly, what should one be parsing for NiM ops? Thank you for your time, ~Lecto-Sama
