    Spacebar!

I invite you all to press your space bar. Hard. And repeatedly... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIpsRi2uueM
  2. Can't read a single insult in the OP. He calls no one names, doesn't mindlessly lash out - he just makes his point. Problem for Bioware is, it's a completely valid point. Today's patch is one massive let down for many people. Bioware would get a LOT more cash off of us if they simply offered us what we want and we paid for it. Hells bells, i'd buy a lot more armour from them straight away off the Cartel Market for cold hard cash, than wait for others to get it in "packs" and then buy them off the GTN for free. They knew the most popular colour would be black black, and they've made it ridiculously stupid and a gamble to obtain. It's like they're encouraging me to not waste my money bothering with it, or get it for free with ingame credits when someone puts it on the GTN... The amount of people who would pay cold hard cash for it i imagine FAR outweighs the minority few who spend over and over again on the gamble.
  3. The fact that when you talk to quest NPCs it forces anyone not in your team to "disappear", as well as mob corpses (depending on no bugs), its not a stretch of coding to enable us to enter areas and just have everyone inside disappear for the person who is using that instance. The world feels so closed for RPers, because the majority of all the best Star Warsy looking locations are locked behind closed doors. Opening them up would give a great deal of freedom.
  4. SGRomance is a minority issue. No matter how vocal the minority on these forums are. The fact Bioware are wasting time on that over other more important issues is a major concern, and is certainly raising eyebrows on other gaming websites... especially since Bioware is supposed to be enticing customers in, in order to support itself now with f2p.
  5. In large scale events, when the chat window becomes next to useless, its extremely helpful. All the naysayers are just loners or solo players who never do more than 4 man groups, and never attend events. With an expansion coming up, and riding the crest of the F2P wave, its the perfect time for Bioware to start upping their game and showing that they DO infact care what the customers want.
  6. Last i remember hearing from the devs on the issue was aaaaaaaaages ago, if i remember correctly, they said they needed to get the 1.2 custom UI interface done first before chat bubbles could be re-implemented (remember they were briefly in beta). Only problem, is 1.2 has come and gone, 1.4 is meant to be a content patch, which leaves 1.3 as the 'features' patch, and no chat bubbles (a feature) in sight nor talked about by the devs. The terrible chat system in place is awful since 1.2, with people mistelling all over the shop. Combine that with no chat bubbles on the horizon, and Bioware wonder why they're losing customers left right and center? Irony of ironies, this 1.3 patch is called "allies" and with group finder, is meant to make the game more easily accessible and social.... ....just not TOO social folks, otherwise you'll die in a wall of chatspam. They should've named the patch "Limited Allies" We need chat bubbles Bioware. If you cant work that out by now, and you cant work out how to implement it 6 months after release, then you're failing in your duties as professional game developers.
  7. Yeah i think we really do need to take this campaign to the Q and A thread too. Otherwise Bioware will only ever skim this suggestion box thread, and if it isnt on the 1st page at the time they skim it, it'll just get overlooked.
  8. Frankly i lose more and more interest in those QandAs. They become ever more niche questions about minutae, and less about general ideas/issues. It's not hard to answer a question like ours - at all. Wouldnt even take up much space. I played a twilek in beta and was a bit disheartened by the lack of hood/helmet support. Now they're retroactively taking stuff away from my Sith Pureblood? I'm seriously asking myself questions about whether i want to pay a company that takes stuff -away- from me.
  9. As far as im aware, the only response has come from Customer Support people ingame. No dev has stated one way or the other. If you could link with proof otherwise, that'd be great. Until then, CS responses are mixed, some calling it a bug, some calling it working as intended. Thats why we need a dev response to settle the issue.
  10. Yup, the whole naming of your characters in Swtor is very badly implemented. At startup you think you only get 1 name slot, then at legacy you werent told it doubles as your surname. All very poorly handled, and those of us that learned the hard way cant change it for our legacy names. That needs to change.
  11. I'm beginning to wonder how many pages a Suggestion needs before a dev will at least confirm or deny the problem at hand...
  12. We're getting so many conflicting reports of this "working as intended" now or being a bug, we really do need a developer comment on it.
  13. Im frankly staggered that Bioware thinks taking content *away* from players is ever going to end in us being happy. They removed several locations in 1.2 (the office next to Karagga's palace entrance on the ziost shadow, and other more RP friendly places around the game, one in the industrial sector of Nar Shaddaa), after saying in interviews they are intending to add more RP areas to the game. Combined with removing facemask rebreathers for Sith...after 5 months of them being in the game..., it just boggles the mind to try and understand the logic behind the guy who directs content being added or removed.
  14. It wont be, the hint is in the fact its called an unscheduled patch. Tomorrow will be to fix the huge matrix cubes error that -todays- patch introduced.
  15. Seriously Bioware, no fix in today's patch? For shame.
  16. That would be like asking to get rakata gear pre-50. It's called endgame content for a reason.
  17. Mm, thats right, dumb this game down so much that you can just walk into a room spam your 1 button a couple times so the mob falls down dead. There's SO much fun to be had in that! /endsarcasm Games are there to be challenging so you have fun in trying to overcome the challenge. If everything is a guaranteed kill, then there is no challenge. If you just want no challenge, then google Hello Kitty Online.
  18. The amount of headgear that has been broken in 1.2 and not fixed is simply laughable. I WOULD give BW the benefit of the doubt and say it is because us Purebloods have specialized faces, so maybe clipping issues? But the fact is the helmets that DO show now clip more than they EVER have in the past, and our facemasks ALWAYS clipped in the past. There is no logical, sensible, explainable reason to suddenly and arbitrarily deprive one playable race headgear when we had it before. It completely ruins the look of my character, and staggers me that they can break such a simple thing so easily, not notice it in test center, have the audacity to let it go live with all the other broken headgear, and THEN claim its working as intended? Patience is wearing thin, Bioware. It isnt working as intended, its broke. Admit it, patch it, fix it. Way to p*** people off over something that should be a no brainer.
  19. No. And unlike some of you gutless posters, im speaking with my wallet, and cancelled my account.
  20. ..to play a BH Twilek, i now have to roll a class i DONT want to play, but is a twilek, level that up to 50, just to play the race /class combo i want. /golfclap well done, Bioware, bravo. You've made what should have been a starting option for most MMOs into a timesink and grind. And you have the audacity to call that "fun". I think we're looking at two different dictionary definitions, you and i, Mr.Ohlen.
  21. Again, read replies before commenting...
  22. An when there's 1000s of them running about? There's a reason they didnt allow orcs in WoW alliance side, or to play an elf in monster play in LotRO. One off characters are usually consigned to Quest characters, and dont make a population.
  23. Having just seen one in the 1.2 video, i have to say.........really, bioware? I thought you guys were so much more into keeping the game "themed" than that. Dont get me wrong, EVERYthing else in 1.2 is brilliant. But allowing Sith pureblood jedis to run around republic side is one MAJOR way to ruin immersion. For instance - why did you bother stopping us from allowing BHers to wear Republic Commando armor traded via the Nar Shaddaa Trade Market if you're goint to allow Sith Purebloods as Jedi. Chiss as Smugglers? That aint a stretch of the imagination. Mirilukan Sith obviously isnt. But honest........ Pureblood Jedi? There are SO many people on the non-official forums right now wondering if this marks a new turning point in your strategy regarding theming of the game. An when there's 1000s of them running about? There's a reason they didnt allow orcs in WoW alliance side, or to play an elf in monster play in LotRO. One off characters are usually consigned to Quest characters, and dont make a population. In Star Wars Galaxies, SoE just didnt care. And what did we have? 1000s of jedi running amok in the A New Hope era of SW. It was yet another nail in that game's coffin, and i love SWTOR i just dont want to see you guys go down the same route. Thankyou for everything else in 1.2 though.
