  1. As you can see, this is just as ineffective as forum posting. They took his survey and tossed it on the pile, only at a lower priority since he already cancelled. The only way boycotting works is en mass. Even if everyone who posts on this thread quit tomorrow, they might notice; but it wont change things over night.
  2. Because the founders of Bioware are single handedly responsible for every concern you have. Nevermind the other projects they have going nevermind the fact that SWTOR has a huge team, nevermind that they're constantly working to improve the game and implement the stuff we want. We'll complain about the patches bringing the game down, and then demand patching! I want server transfers too, but playing the blame game is not helpful.
  3. "WE HATE QUEUES, ALL OUR SERVERS ARE FULL/HEAVY"-fan "Oh Okay, we'll raise the server cap"-dev "RAHR ALL OUR SERVERS ARE STANDARD NOW!"-fan "wut?"-dev "WE WANT SERVERS WITH MORE PEOPLE, AND LESS PEOPLE"-fan "huh?"-dev "LOW POPULATION WITH LOTS OF PEOPLE TO PLAY WITH PLZ"-fan "that...whaa???..it doesnt"-dev "BIOWARE HATES ITS FANS"-fan I think all servers being at Standard is fine. What did you guys expect? Obviously when they raised the server caps this would happen. Like they said before, servers populations will even out. While I want server transfers too (because they're really no reason NOT to have the option). I'm not an insane person who is too hot and cold at the same time.
  4. this is basically what happend to me. but I got to lvl 34 with the new class before realizing that I hate it. Character transfers plz! and plz dont wait until my new character is lvl 40 :/
  5. "people were level 50 on day 3" they also exploited a glitch in Warzones to gain massive XP fast. I am lvl 39 and I have work, and a life. Like most people. Therefore I would like the ability to transfer my character, rather than run the same stuff again for the 20th time and get totally burned out on it.
  6. Looking for an update on this issue bioware. Keep us posted.
  7. I believe you're also the 90% who were telling the people who got late EGA to "QQ more" So, yeah. Stuff happens I guess.
  8. Nobody said it was a father/daughter/brother/sister relationship. It could be one guy and a 3rd cousin by marriage, note; this is not real life. Inter-species breeding works.
  9. yeah it'd be nice to get some official update of any kind. Not so much an ETA since I know they wont give me that but at least a "we're working on it" if the answer is "don't hold your breath" then I'll re-roll even though I'm lvl 38. If I go fast, I can reach that relatively soonish.
  10. lol. they are paid for their opinions. I see this stupid argument over and over again. I've read more than enough reviews of bad games to know they get paid whether the reviews are good or not. I own DOAX2 and I love it, i love the bikini's the gambling and the vollyball, it got horrible reviews. I don't blame the reviewers. People need to realize there is a difference between liking something and that thing being good. A good critic has benchmarks that they hold everything up to, if it doesnt meet the standards it suffers, if it exceeds the standards than they are rewarded. It's not a coincidence or a conspiracy that AAA titles recieve AAA reviews. They're AAA because people spent a lot of time, tears and energy making something awesome. The reviews generally reflect this. The problem with amateur reviews is that they are based off of the opinions of some random idiot, who is not a professional writer, has no insight into game design, has no training in any field related to the product they are judging other than their personal taste. Critics aren't supposed to judge based on their personal taste (it's impossible not too a bit though), they have their metrics that they judge by. Heres another example. We'll host our own Dog Show. It will be open enrollment, prize winning purebreds and scruffy mutts too. the judges will be a bunch of goons from Gamefaqs and watch how a scruffy, poorly bred chiuahuah with one eye and no teeth wins. Because he's super cute, with his tongue hanging out! Amateurs have no training/knowledge. Pros do. Leave the reviews to the pros. Or do what you're SUPPOSED to do, use the review as a guide to help make decisions not the end-all-be all.
  11. metacritic scores are dubious at best regardless of the medium. Take everything you read with a huge grain of salt. Ever been on Rotton tomatoes? Yes, almost every movie sucks. But almost EVERYONE reviewing stuff on Metacritic sites are 90% rotton.
  12. except for latency which could be an issue. I played on an EU server in beta and it was usually okay. But that argument is weak. The point of the OP is that there is obviously room for more, much earlier today the servers were mostly at STANDARD, so yeah it wasn't even bed time.
  13. So if there are long queues, whats the point of staggering launch? It's obvious they'll need more servers. Hopefully when i get in (tomorrow). Hopefully by launch they can have enough up and running to prevent queues. I dont want to make a toon and have to wait an hour to play every time I want to log in. Theres no effective difference between giving everyone access and having 50% of them waiting in queue than giving staggered access and still having to wait in queue. The only difference is that the people let in first get the most playtime without having to worry about queues. I'm not whining. I'm over it. It's a lost cause at this point. It's the 15th, Most people will get in in a few hours. And we'll all get to wait in the queue together. So, well done?
  14. I'm gaming on a laptop. But it's an Alienware m18x. So it's more like a "slightly portable desktop"
  15. WoW is basically Everyquest with some new stuff thrown in. Did that hurt WoW?
  16. you are crazy, why complain? If you want 24 hours, you've got it. Every will get at least ONe day. There are much better ways to implement this staggered thing. Like, lay out all of the information in advance. Rather than "we'll let you know".
  17. Only if your throw out all the innovating they've done. Oh wait, I guess WoW has implemented fully voiced stories, companion characters and multiplayer dialogue in the past few days? Oh, they havent..... Yeah, so just because it has a tool bar and is an MMO does not make it wow.
  18. Oct, 20 here. Confident I'll get in today, praying for another "bonus wave" for today(that'd be nice). A little annoyed that I wont be able to play with my friends, but otherwise I'm excited!
  19. they'll be ignored and we'll be told "deal with it" as I plan on playing on a PVP server, getting ganked by a lvl 20 on day one will be awesome i guess.
  20. nobody forces people to click on threads. If it's a qq thread, dont click it.
  21. this shouldn't have been advertised. They should have said from the get go that they're doing a staggered release for early access and offered some other kind of pre-order bonus (not a lame power crystal). This could have been done right, very easily. All they had to do is explain the situation in advanced. That way we would have all known what to expect. Even now Origin is telling perspective buyers that if they pre order this game, they can be playing it RIGHT NOW. So yeah, that's pretty messed up. So I'll get in on th 18th, my friends will all get in on the 23rd at the rate this is moving Oh well, this isn't the worst thing Bioware has ever done. Remember Dragon Age 2 and how awful it was?
  22. thanks guys. Cleared that up nicely. and yes, that was a long time.
