  1. I don't think we as gamers have seen a "superb" modern sandbox game as of yet. Eve has many great elements, but so many aspects of the game are too slow paced and boring. And Eve PvE is lame. I'm all for a more open world, and less linearity. But I also want great content that I can easily access and complete in short play sessions. And there has to be a good mix of both grouped and solo content, as well as PvP and PvE content.
  2. Sorry to break it to you, but nobody really cares about your opinion.
  3. As far as i can tell, it just opens up dialogue options and companion missions. But can't you pretty much play the game without givning a hoot about companion affection? I mean, it doesn't affect their combat performance, does it? I've only done one companion mission, and the rewards didn't seem that stellar. Let me know what I'm missing.
  4. I have to admit, I had a really hard time with this guy. I had to out-level him by at least a few levels. But I must say, I don't think I had a great command on how to play my class.
  5. Even though I am for a LFG tool, I will say that it made guilds less relevant in WoW. I think that's why they implemented guild leveling/perks.
  6. I was very adamant in the beginning that this game needed some type of LFG/Dungeon finder tool in the beginning. However, I would say that it has been pretty easy finding groups for heroic quests. Flashpoints have been a little more difficult for me personally, and you have to be really patient at times (since you have to sit in the flashpoint entry point waiting). I do fear that DPS'ers are eventually gonna have a hard time finding groups. And the lack of a dual-spec significantly limits your options. What I don't get is, why do people who hate LFG tools forcing your opinions on everyone else? If you don't like the tool, just don't use it. And quit being childish in assuming it will ruin the community. That's just plain ridiculous.
  7. I think it's past due for another response from a dev. I know it's only been a day, but there has to be some update, given how bad the ques are. Even if the vast majority of players aren't going to leave the game in the short term, this is sending a bad message about what to expect in terms of customer service from Bioware in the future, and general respect for it's subscribers.
  8. Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions. I will try some of them when I get home.
  9. I've played the game quite a bit on a 15" Mac Book Pro, bootcamped. I have dual core 2.6, 8 gigs RAM, and the graphics card i think almost has 1 gig of RAM. While the game does certainly run, it doesn't have the greatest performance (at the lowest game settings). It runs much, much better on my brand new, top of the line iMac. Any suggestions you guys have as to how to improve my performance on my laptop would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Ugh...... between work, family, and wife aggro I get so little playtime...... so que's really, really suck for me. I beg you bioware, get the damn ques sorted out!
  11. I see there's already an iPhone one available; just hoping the android one is in the works. Sorry if this has been asked already.
