  1. But there is some damage indicators on your character sheet under the "Spell Damage" tab.
  2. If you knew the answer to this, you would be a rich man! ToR is an open market and people will spend credits on what they want, what they think they want, and what you tell them they need. I am a 400 synth and I use whatever is best in slot stat wise - but I am picking up a lot of mods for orange gear and most of my gear is custom at lvl 48. The mods I use mostly come from quest rewards. One of my goals as a synth is to collect a variety of patterns for orange(custom) items.
  3. If you buy the cotton, you are still supporting the slavery.
  4. If you are a Sage, then this fight is trivial if you use Theran - the healer companion. Interrupt his Thundering blasts. Shield yourself occasionally. Stun, knockback, profit.
  5. Dual Spec is already in the game. Namely, any player can visit a trainer and change their talent specs for a fee. Some players are simply asking to have changing specs (within an AC) made easier. I agree that change of AC is not needed. The skill sets in each AC make them unique classes unto themselves and players can choose light/dark convo options to give the story a different feel if they play the same class multiple times.
  6. His hologram stun is hilarius! Love it love it love it.
  7. Hi Karo, Did you ever figure out how to destroy the medium-class cruisers? I generally used lasers to take out all the weapon points and missles on the two remaining internal points (the ones which flash blue when you hit them with lasers). The last two take about 2 missles each to destroy. Does killing the corvettes give you a bigger boost in exp?
  8. While Biochem is a fine skill in it's own, it's usefullness is somewhat negated by the fact that Sorcerers can heal. I stopped using heal pots on my Sorcerer after about level 18. Synthweave lets you increase the damage output (better Willpower) of your character and any of your companions. I find about half my gear on my Sorcerer is crafted and best in slot compared to the quest rewards I am finding.
  9. Weapons vendor will sell you a vibroblade/trainingstaff type weapon which will be fine till you can get your saber back.
  10. Or this person is a couple of levels above the quests he is on - and doesn't have to try.
  11. It will seem more useful later on. In the dps skill tree, you can pick talents to increase your force regen after attacking from stealth which boosts the damage you can do. When you get closer to lvl 30, assassins get more abilities that can be used only from stealth.
  12. I wouldn't say the game is too easy. There are lots of challenges to be had if you know where to look. -Try Doing Heroic 2+ quests with just you and your companion -Try Doing Heroic 4+ quests with and friend and your companions -Quest in areas where the mobs are about the same level or a bit higher. I'm actually skipping the 3rd planet in my story quest because I have outlevelled the 3rd planet from doing all the quests on the 2nd one. By skipping, I mean only doing the main story quest, and then moving on to the next area.
  13. He's talking about picking the Sage AC and feeling like a ranged character.
  14. I would vote for a free low damage saber throw.
  15. Its the perception of being a jerk that could be avoided. If I'm fighting and I want to get a node that gets stolen by another player - they are a jerk. If I want a node and another player is fighting the mobs by it - I'm the jerk. But Why?
  16. Did the universe end? Or did control shift in different periods of time. The jedi and sith have never been defeated completely.
  17. Yes, "Forced". I can not tell what crew skills another player has, and I have no reason to wait to see if they are going to use the gathering node or not. This would be completely avoidable if a player was allowed to spend the 3 seconds to interact with a resource while in combat. First-come first-served should be the policy.
  18. As it stands, the situation is: Jedi 1: Look, a group of bandits. Time to bring them to justice Jedi 2: If I stand here and watch, I can get those crystals for free. Jedi 1: Help! or Stop stealing my crystals!
  19. I still don't understand why we are not allowed to interact with the environment while in combat. The companion system lends itself to multi-tasking such as gathering and fighting at the same time. It would also be nice to be able to compete quests while in combat. The UI has a built in option to send the companion to gather a resource. This feature seems totally worthless if a player cannot gather while in combat. One of the advantages of allowing this would be to stop other players from "stealing" a resource node or quest location that a player intended to interact with after clearing the mobs around the node. As the current system stands, I am forced to steal nodes if I want to be competitive in resource gathering. I am also not impressed with the function/bugginess of companion gathering. My companion Khem Val first attempts to scan a node while out of its range when I click on it and then moves up to perform the scan. At this point I will not use this feature because I can't stand to watch him do this.
  20. Yes, I had the same bug last night. The spent nodes still exist on the minimap.
  21. If you selected Archeology as a Crew Skill, you can pay to send a companion on a gathering mission. They literally disappear for a bit and then you get a Archeology ingredient in your inventory if the mission was successful. Otherwise, you are seeing a bug and should submit a /bug report in game. Jad.
  22. It's like the fun of beta without all of the glaring bugs and a few new features. The companion color-scheme choice was slick. You will love it and you will enjoy not being in a starting zone that is getting zerged by hundreds of new players all at once. Had no problem finding groups for quests/flashpoints.
  23. This! I read about ToR all day, and then plan to play all night
  24. I knew I had a pretty low chance of being in the first wave of invites, but I was so excited. I was following the twitter accounts of Greg and ToR and following on Facebook. Every single message made me excited. Half and hour goes by. I start to settle down at my computer desk. I distracted myself with another game. Slowly, I started to feel disappointed, but content that my invite would be coming. Suddenly, my email inbox lights up. THIS IS YOUR INVITIATION!!! All the waiting and frustration melts away. GAME ON, YOU GUYS!! HAVE A GREAT DAY! Once you get in, you will forget all the waiting. Trust me!
