  1. Since 1.2, I noticed a ~1 UI freeze when doing the following things: Scavenging a resource node on a planet. Scavenging resources for a corpse. Looting. Adding an attachment to e-mails. Reverse engineering an item. This is really making the game feel stuttery. Anybody else notice this? It rarely happened before 1.2. I do a lot of the above (as I suspect many of you do) and it's very annoying.
  2. I have found Armormech is supremely awesome and profitable in the following ways: Crafting purple gear for my companions. Crafting purple gear for my alts. Crafting purple gear for my alts' companions. Crafting purple gear for my guilds' companions and alts. Crafting purple gear for sale on the GTN for everybody's companions and alts. If you take the time to learn purple schematics, you can make a killing on the GTN and you can also make leveling up alts insanely simple by purple crafting level appropriate weapons, which will be way better than anything they get from quest rewards or purchase through comms. For instance, I am leveling a Sniper alt. With my main which has Armormech, I am taking the time to purple craft all her armor and her companion's armor. She herself has Armstech and she is purple crafting her own weapons and her companion's weapons. Leveling her is extraordinarily easy with that level gear. Once I'm done with her, I will be able to craft purple Sniper gear for public sale on the GTN. I've done a few items so far (failed attempts and crit crafting some purples) and they sell very well. In summary, IMO, the viability for crafting professions is not in your main. It lies in companions and alt characters, which many people are playing in 1.2 now with the Legacy system in place.

  4. Ooooooh. LAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I absolutely hate the look of the Columi armor. I was hoping hoping to have a customized look with Columi stats and set bonus (or Tionese for fresh alts).
  5. If I want to wear custom orange gear (crafted or looted) and gain all the properites (specifically the set bonus) of my current Columi gear, so I need to re-purchase all of my Columi pieces?
  6. That's my point. Why? Why do all other crafting professions get purchasable +crit sensor and not Armormech?
  7. For clarity, I am a Bounty Hunter and none of my companions have an inherit +crit Armormech bonus.
  8. I am an Armormech and I don't see a +5 Armormech Critical sensor unit that I can purchase and place into 2V-R8. I see critical bonus sensor units for Armstech, Synthweaving and Cybertech. Am I missing something?

  11. Does anybody else have issues with incorrect cooldown values being displayed on their toolbar? I get this all the time and it's very frustrating as it causes confusion during combat. An ability will be showing 43 seconds until cooldown, but is actually available immediately. This started in the patch where they enabled the cooldown countdown customizations (highlighting, seconds until countdown overlay, etc.) I know for a fact that the issue is caused by using and switching between multiple toolbars. I have general repro steps, but not exact repro steps. This is easily reproducible if you just play the game a bit using this setup. *** SETUP *** I don't have the left or right toolbars enabled. I have the two-row toolbar at the bottom. I have my T and G keys bound to "scroll to next toolbar" and "scroll to previous toolbar" respectively. When I hit the T or G key, the top toolbar of the two-row toolbar changes. The bottom stays the same. Toolbar 1 (the default) buffs and travel abilities. Toolbar 2 has healing abilities. Toolbar 3 has attack abilities. Toolbar 4 has crowd control abilities. I have the toolbar cooldown customizations to overlay the countdown timer onto the buttons. I believe I have it set to "show seconds" maximized. 10 seconds? *** SCENARIO *** I login. I use Quick Travel Pass on Toolbar 1. The Quick Travel Pass cooldown will say 30m. I hit the T key to "toolbar up" to Toolbar 2 so now my two toolbars displayed are my healing abilities (Toolbar 2) and combat abilities (Toolbar 3). I enter combat with some friends. During the fight, I need to "toolbar up" to CC a mob. I do that quickly, and then "toolbar down" to return to my healing abilities. Or during the fight, someone dies and gets a combat rez. In that case, I "toolbar down" to reapply a buff quickly, and then "toolbar up" again to return to my healing abilities. *** EXPECTED BEHAVIOR *** As I switch up and down between toolbars, the countdown overlays should be correct for each button on the currently displayed toolbars. *** ACTUAL BEHAVIOR *** Often times, I'll see the overlay for Toolbar 1 displayed on top of Toolbar 2. For example, in the scenario above, the Quick Travel Pass countdown from Toolbar 1 will overlay the healing ability on Toolbar 2 that is in the same slot. This is why it is confusing. During fast combat, one of my healing abilities will *show* that it is on 30m cooldown, but it is actually available immediately. If I do nothing but "toolbar up" and "toolbar down" again, the overlay corrects itself. It doesn't repro 100%. It's definitely during combat as I'm switching toolbars frequently. It *may* have to do with switching toolbars before the GCD cooldown completes, but I haven't fully figured it out yet. At my next gaming opportunity, I'll try to nail down exact repro steps. Hope this helps. Anybody with similar experiences or additional information, please help. Thanks.

  13. Does anybody know if the missing Tier 2 recipe has been fixed? Per the Reverse Engineering Guide in the Crew Skills forum, the Tier 2 purple recipe that gives +Defense, +Alacrity as a result from RE a Redoubt item is missing. As such, there are only 14 purples instead of the expected 15.
  14. The Armormech schematics that I bought from the crew skill vendor, when crafted, result in non-moddable armor pieces. As such, I won't be able to RE them and learn their orange shell variants. Is that correct? If not, bummer. I actually like some of those armor styles and won't be able to use them as orange shells. On the flip side, the Artifact Xenotech leggings that I looted from Hardmode Flashpoints are moddable and I will be able to RE them and learn their orange shell variants. Is this correct? If so, great! There's some neat stuff there. Don't get me wrong. This is awesome stuff. I'm just hoping I'm either understanding it wrong or that obtaining orange shells from non-moddables will be available in the future.
  15. You can. But from what I heard at the Guild Summit, they're removing the BoP restriction for epic mats and also adding some nodes within the HM FPs and Ops so you can get a few outside of killing the boss. There should be more to go around after 1.2.
  16. Just wait a few more weeks. It's fixed in 1.2. This thread won't change anything to make 1.2 release any faster.
  17. I can definitively say that all I needed was 200 Dark Side points. It took just two Black Talon normal mode runs.

  19. I don't understand. Right now, I am at 200 Light, 10000 Dark. My net is -9800, which is just shy of Dark V. I don't think gaining 200 Dark points subtracts from the Light points. It only adds to the Dark points. i.e. I can never get back to -10000 Dark because I am at max 10000 Dark.
  20. What if I am at max Dark Side points. It won't let me gain any more.
  21. So I've been at -10,000 Dark Side for a while and I have my nice Dark Side V prototype relics. Then sometime last week I must have accidentally accepted some Light Side credit for 200 points. Now I can't use my Dark Side V relics because I am only -9800 Dark Side now. I didn't intentionally do this. How can I get rid of the 200 Light Side points? Can I shoot a Jawa or something?
