  1. Im fine with companions that dont speak basic, i just dont understand why they decided amity to literally sound like nails on a chalkboard.
  2. nobody said that SWTOR=bad. Strawman. Also studio transfers usually always can the entire original staff, thats what they did at Bioware when it was bought out at EA. That being said, you can take your copy/paste vapid "if you dont like it dont play the game"#4237514841874 post to reddit.
  3. I doubt Broadsword cares. I think this is business as usual for them I.E. being keeping servers running. They have not released a statement on their ambitions or anything, completely radio silence for them. this is also a company where employees literally fall asleep on devstreams. The biggest glaring issue is people not understanding what kind of co broadsword is. Broadsword is an awful company, and their employees are lazy and apathetic. and as far as VA it will be severely reduced atleast. Those kotor style turn in dialogues are imo going to be the future of SWTOR, unfortunately
  4. Oh really? You were there? You have a source for that? Clearly you dont know what “laid off” means. The game is in mid development. They have no reason to bring in 40 mmo developers mid process. They will fail Mass Effect 5 just fine on their own. Yes, the game makes money for ea. thats why its being handed over to a boutique maintenance company to keep the servers running instead of shutting it down.
  5. Half of SWTOR devs have been laid off. 50%. Broadsword is a company that does not develop games. Majority of those devs moving over will eventually be laid off as well, since Broadsword doesnt need that many people to just keep the servers running. You and all the other copers are going to feel really stupid when this will be the case, but anyone that pays attention to studio mergers knows that this happens every single time. oh to be naive like yourself, but you will either learn or continue to be duped.
  6. This is the strangest post ive seen today. Satele Shan doesn’t have a set playstyle and there isnt a secret sauce to the server. Its quite obvious that Satele Shan is a very low population server which is why solo play and guild activities are the only things to do. whats more likely is that youre from SS and youre coping. lastly despite your strange ideas the majority of people in multiplayer games want to be on servers that actually have people running all of the content in the game. TLDR: SS is a dead server and has been dead for a while now. Transfer to Star Forge, its better.
  7. I used to play on Satele Shan. Spent money to transfer to Star Forge. Huge difference. Star Forge is a very much alive and vibrant server. At this point they should just merge the two servers together.
  8. Its also very nice speculation that youre expecting a boutique maintenance company to pump out content on a multi million dollar game 👍
  9. Cope. Must be a troll when they call you out on your delusions. Have fun waiting for that Broadsword-sponsored SWTOR xpac.
  10. Broadsword didnt “hire” anybody. They were already on the payroll of EA. And for a game to lose 50% of their staff that is absolutely abysmal. not to mention “transfers” like these happen with studios all the time just out of formality’s sake, then the majority if not all the employees are let go shortly thereafter.
  11. Nobody told you how to “have fun”. There are plenty of dead games people enjoy playing. The issue is that your delusion of new content from a boutique maintenance company needs to be addressed.
  12. Its common sense. If you are to look at ultima online and daoc as an example, expansions have not been released for those games for over a decade, and that was before broadsword took over. If they cant make an expansion for such archaic games, then they certainly are incapable of doing it for SWTOR. Broadsword also has the image of an unprofessional and apathetic company. There are videos of their devs falling asleep on game discussion streams. Broadsword has also made promises for UO and DAOC that they made multiple years ago and have not delivered. The one job of the people at Broadsword is keep the servers running, and thats all that will be done for SWTOR. Once again, any hope for content under this company is pure delusion.
  13. After the news has broken that SWTOR will now be managed by a boutique maintenance company it is a 100% certainty that there will never be another expansion, there will never be new planets, no new story aside from lazily voiceless dialogues masked in a KOTOR style. There will never be new ops, warzones, arenas or new gear. Broadsword will host meaningless mediocre anniversaries and events to get people to log back in and pay money, but nothing beyond that. if you believe that a company that has never developed a single game will be adding new content to SWTOR then you are delusional. the point of the game now is for completionists to finish their class stories, nightmare modes, and then ride off into the sunset. Lastly as far as the dev said, talking about new planned content or whatever. Obviously he would say that. No dev would openly say that the game is being abandoned and being put into the hands of a company that manages servers of games from the 90’s. Dont cope. The game is dead, finish your stuff and move on. There will never be anything new that is worthwhile on this game ever again.
  14. Thats just not true. And ff14 is non stop VA. It all comes down to greed. Bioware wants to get a platinum private jet instead of a golden one, so they are willing to crush anybody’s hopes and dreams so their pockets can be just a little bit fatter.
  15. Cartel purchases + subscriptions. Now lets do the math. Disregard cartel purchases and focus on subscriptions. There are around 200k active users. Lets say half of them are subscribed which is GENEROUS and there are likely more than that: 100k subscribers. Which nets about 1.5 MILLION per MONTH. And if you mean to tell me thet isnt enough to pay for a simple storyline once or twice a year then that is ridiculous.
