    Slippery Slope

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=197991 Your argument is now invalid, proven by a BioWare employee. Not the players fault that BioWare made the turret destroyable.

Turrets do not give valor or any reward. You'd know that if you had a clue. The turrent was just being destroyed so players wouldn't die from it.

No, it's not. It says "If the matter can be handled through PvP, it is not griefing." It does not say "If the matter can be handled through PvP, it is not griefing. Unless it is spawn point camping, then it is." BioWare didn't create a strong enough defense for the base. They screwed up and want to punish players. They are now opening doors for players to have the defensive argument to ANY PvP they disagree with. I love how BioWare moves my topics off the customer service forum rather than address them. They have some serious mismanagement issues.

The one crying here is you. Clearly you were killed. I just got killed by two level 50s while fighting a level 46 Jedi Guardian. I was level 47. Clearly they are exploiting a mechanic, by engaging in PvP as a group on a PvP server. They should be banned, as per the set up BioWare has just made. You misunderstand the topic as a whole I think. The point is, regardless of it being an exploit, BioWare screwed up. Rather than say "Sorry" to the players who got steam rolled by the opposing faction, they instead divert the blame TO the opposing faction and threaten account actions. Lets use WoW as an example. If 400 players managed to form together and take over Stormwind, killing every NPC, every PvP player, etc. and hold the base for the day, would Blizzard punish them? No. Why? Because they got together and went against the odds. BioWare is punishing players for getting together and going against the enemy faction, against the odds of being killed by a SINGLE GUN. That isn't exploiting. That's called having enough people to take down the DEFENSE.

    Slippery Slope

You mad, bro? Good for them for thinking with their heads, forming a raid and killing enemy players. On a PvP server, in a PvP area in some cases. So, should the Republic be punished on my server for killing me in Voss? The other day on Illum I got ganked by 4 Republic while questing. Should they be banned? I was just doing my PvE daily quests. Clearly they were exploiting, using the NPCs to increase their numbers to attack me. I just got ganked by 2 level 50 Republics while engaging in PvP against a Jedi Guardian my own level. Clearly exploiting, they should be banned for attacking someone so much lower level without any possible chance to defend himself!

Yes, yes I know this, and you know what? Good for them. What's your point? If the Republic can't get enough 50s out to form a reliable offense, that is my fault how? The rules actually state that, if it can be settled via PvP, it is not griefing. You are on a PvP server, in a PvP area. Deal with it. I pointed out in the beginning things to fix it. Warhammer had it right. You couldn't enter the enemy base without instant death. I would be for that in this game as well.

Hey I am on Voss right now and the Republic is running around Voss-Ka killing Empire players. Several level 50s. We can't go through the city and get our quests done. BioWare, I demand you come punish these players for acting within the mechanics of the game!

The funny part about this? I didn't even engage in the behavior. By the time I got home, all the Republic players were in bed and we had an actual fight going on between ops groups of Republic vs Empire. However, the fact remains, you open the door punishing players for this, to some of us, we see this as the ability to punish players for any PvP. As much as I despise Blizzard and hate what they have become, they got one thing right in WoW. They stepped out of the PvP balance arguments for most of the game. The day, literally the DAY they changed Wintergrasp and made it 1-1 ratio, I canceled by subscription to that game. Not because it was a ROTLMAO face stomping, but because when I played, I wanted to go fight Alliance players with tenacity 1 on 1. It was entertaining to fight someone with x3 or x5 and try to kill them. It wasn't that the Alliance were outnumbered either on my server, they actually had something like 53% of the players. It was just they didn't PvP, and the Horde got punished for it. Blizzard stepped in and said "oh, well, about that PVP..." and changed it, opening the door for other things they could do.

http://www.swtor.com/blog/ilum-pvp-issues So you are punishing players for engaging in PvP? If memory serves me, did your own company not say "If the issue can be settled through PvP, then it is not griefing" as well? If we are being punished for engaging in PvP, and the other faction refuses to form an offense to drive us out, why should our accounts be punished? What will you do next? I read that and now I feel that any time I am treated unfairly in PvP, the opposing faction should be punished. If I am out questing, and 4 players come up and gank me, you know what? That is just like this. I am unable to enjoy my gamepaly experience because I was out numbered by the opposing faction. So can I report them and have action brought against them? You crossed the line with this. You want to restore balance? Add more guns. Make guns do more damage. Add a force field that only one faction can enter and exit, even during combat. Don't punish players for doing the very thing you said was acceptable.

    Illum PvP daily

30 is way too many, especially on servers with lower populations of Republic. I've given up on this quest after the first day after spending almost 2 hours in an ops group trying to get my 30 kills. The kills need to be lowered to something more reasonable, or have a third measure put in such as guards that patrol the areas that give you 0 valor, but provide kills for the quest. The armaments, I haven't even seen one spawn yet. Then again, after Wednesday, I stopped trying for this quest.
  11. There is nothing BioWare can do to prevent this either. Fact is, people like being the Sith. The bad guy. Despite the classes being pretty much 100% mirrored of each other, people still like shooting lightning and choking people.
  12. Sadly no. I will try later this weekend though. Oh the irony. I started this post on the Customer Service forum. They moved the subject. I just now realized they moved it. Proof that they are not willing to acknowledge the issue. Not everyone attacks a player who is stunned. I will frequently stun people with abilities that break and not attack, instead waiting. It isn't uncommon in my guild for me to say in our vent "AOE stunning" and we let up on damage to avoid breaking the CC. Funny enough, I played in beta as a Juggernaut for 3 months, followed by another Juggernaut another 2. I got my first Juggernaut to level 50 and rank 50 valor. This was back when we could trade our PvP badges freely and no PvP rewards. I have no issues using my abilities, and my resolve worked perfectly fine. Defense abilities the same. I even screen shotted my UI in the beta to transfer it over in the final release exactly how I wanted it. Though I lost my Force Pull but gained Crushing Blow, Pommel Strike and Savage Kick, my UI is identical.
  13. This is what I am trying to get across. These issues do not persist on my Assassin at all. Not one. When I use an ability on my Assassin in PvP, it works. It always works unless their resolve bar counters me. When I use a defensive ability, it activates. When I use Unleash, it activates. I don't have to spam button/click it 20 times to get it to activate. If I want to attack them, I use my 1-10 abilities and it attacks, it doesn't bring my lightsaber back then hesitate and make me try 5 times to get the attack to activate. My Resolve works just fine. My abilities and stuns and knock backs work fine. My Force Pull works fine. They don't always work, but I know I can knock someone back then stun them. Or pull them and stun them And it does. I am actually tempted to quit my Juggernaut and just play my Assassin because of how messed up this is. I thought at first it was working as intended, and I began playing the Assassin because I wanted one, and I noticed how the issues I was having with my Juggernaut were not the same. I am considering on just giving up on my broken Juggernaut and just playing my Assassin now. In the past 3 days I haven't even bothered to tried to do the three warzone victory dailies because of what is going on.
  14. Tank specs get a stun with their Force Charge, which builds up on the Resolve. Your argument here is now invalid. As such, when I charge an enemy, they build up resolve IF I stun them. However, as I pointed out, I can have CCs used on me (Choke, stun, push, whatever) with my resolve bar full. Ironically, I have issues opening tickets IN GAME too. I opened a ticket a few weeks ago about how I can't enter hard mode flash points, and since then I can't close the ticket or open a new ticket. Well I *can* open a ticket, it just doesn't save the ticket. I also can't close the open ticket, it just says something about it failing to close in an error message and stays open. I have. It doesn't answer the question about why my character does not build up an immunity to stuns. Or why my abilities do not work when I use them. Be it click, or a key bind. My personal favorite is when I am stunned and I use Unleashed, it says "You must be facing your target." Except I can't face my target, as I am stunned. Happens more often when snared, but occasionally while stunned.
  15. Addressed it. I can click my other abilities just fine, literally my defensive abilities will not always work. It isn't a CTRL+U issue, because the actual icon lights up when I switch between them like I can click them. It highlights the blue border. I can then move to any offensive ability around them and they work just fine. As has been pointed out, there are other videos showing similar bugged issues I provided a link to in this thread. I am not the only one (Far from it) that is experiencing these issues. These issues also do not happen on my Assassin. Until BioWare addresses it, I will keep bumping this.
  16. Doesn't matter. It should apply regardless if I click or use the numbers. However, since you are providing an obvious troll post, I will feed you. My main offense abilities are numbered 1-10. Save for Force Push and Sundering Assault. I have to click these. However, I can still CLICK these abilities when my defense abilities do not work. I can CLICK my AoE taunt when I can't click my defense abilities. I can CLICK my Vicious Throw when I can't click my defense abilities. Or, and this will blow your mind, I can CLICK my 1-10 abilities and NOT click defense! Your argument is invalid. I believe I addressed this in my original post. Enemy players can Force Charge me stunning me, and then choke me, then push me. Or choke me, then slap me. Or slap me then choke me. Whatever options they want. Even after the Force Charge ability stuns me. Or they can choke me, stun me, then Force Push me. Or any combination of abilities.
  17. When I run in my guild in Voidstar, we use vent and we have this wonderful thing called speaking and communicating. However, not every stun is broken on damage. Such as Force Choke and Backhand. So a Trooper can stun me and hit me for a few seconds and I can be hit on. Next one stuns me, then another stun. However, being as I am a Juggernaut with over 500 expertise in full Champion gear (Save for belt), and over 18k health when in Warzones, I can take a bit of a punishment. As for video proof, I don't know what the program is people use to record their games. I will gladly record some of it though. Oh wait, people have been posting videos already in another thread showing all the broken mechanics in this game on the general discussion forum. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=159300
  18. Same thing happens to me, sometimes (though rarely) on my Assassin and almost every time on my Juggernaut. Funny enough my lvl 40 talent point ability in the tank tree is almost completely useless in PvP since it works less than 25% of the time. I once tried it in a match from 4 different angles on a Sniper, and all 4 times I brought the saber back like a baseball bat, then just stopped. It really is quite annoying. Also how, despite having a talent point that says "FORCE CHOKE WILL NO LONGER BE CHANNELED" I still have to channel it because, OH NO! it doesn't apply to my 2 piece PvP bonus which adds 1 second to the choke.
  19. Sounds like a I can't remove my stun since it was on cool down from being stunned a minute earlier. Bomb was set in Voidstar. I Force Charged in to disarm it and stunned instantly by a Trooper, and 2 other players. Bomb exploded and a few seconds later the stun wore off. I looked at the bomb timer when I got stunned and it was at 18 seconds.
  20. Then BioWare can tell me what to do. They can gladly check my combat log, if such a thing exists on their end, to see the issue, or address the issue here. Until then, I will continue to bump this thread. As I pointed out, this happens on one character, my Sith Juggernaut. Out of curiosity, I had my best friend play his Jedi Guardian on my computer, and he did not experience the same issues as I was having either.
  21. Funny, 20 second straight stun in a Warzone just now. So, BioWare, you going to address my concern or just ignore it? I will gladly keep bumping this.
  22. Nothing like being tag teamed stunned on Hoth by 2 players 10 lvls below you with no cool down on Resolve.
  23. Bumping yet again. Come on BioWare, explain why my character is broken, why my abilities do not work, and why my Resolve bar is broken. A Juggernaut just now Force Charged me, choked me THEN pushed me when I never used Unleash. THREE moves, when it should have taken TWO to fill up my resolve bar, and he used THREE moves on me within each global cool down (I was still being choked when he pushed me). Why do these problems happen only on my Juggernaut, yet my Assassin does not seem to have them?
  24. First, I can keep bumping this. If they close it, I can simply call them and point out that they closed it without answering and push them on the phone. Next, I fail to see how reinstalling the game will fix my character. Finally, I have an Assassin in the low lvl 30s, and I haven't had any trouble with him using any of his abilities, defensive or otherwise, or abilities failing.
  25. Neither of those assisted with my original problem as well. Why is it when I Force Charge a player out of combat, they are immediately immune to my stuns afterward, but they can Force Charge me, stun me then push me? That is 3 different CCs in a row while mine is 1. The fact is, my character is flawed in PvP. Not my class, but my actual, physical, character. I've submitted numerous tickets and posted numerous times to where abilities do not work. My Invincible, Saber Ward and Endure Pain do not activate when I click them, which is not due to lag but due to a programming error, and my CC breaker will not activate on a frequent basis when I click it either. From one of the links. This does not apply to me. I will use my CC abilities on players constantly who do not have a white bar and nothing happens, other than they take damage. I have stood there after I Force Charged someone and WAITED for the bar to run down, then tried to choke them. slap them or push them when there was no bar, and it did nothing. So, again, I want a developer to answer the question.
