  1. Glad I could help. About that; there might be a few exceptions but it's not necessarily fatal to flirt with more than one character, especially when you're flirting with both a companion and another NPC that is not part of your crew. Mostly because your companion doesn't care. Romancing two companions can be a bit more complicated, however the game would eventually initiate a conversation for your to make a final and lasting decision.
  2. Although there is a long time without any [flirt] options, there should've been a third one once Elara asks you for an approval for new supplies for her medical kit. You should always take any [flirt] option you're being given. Not taking them can, in fact, result in you missing the opportunity for a romantic relationship and there isn't much you can do about it afterwards. Edit: Yes, it can be quite annoying to have missed the whole romance, especially in a first play-through where you didn't know that every flirt option matters.
  3. Yes, you can do that by using the "Master's Datacron and Equipment Bundle". You can purchase it on the Cartel Market for 2000 cartel coins. Your character will be set on level 70, but you will not skip any story content. This item needs to be used on an already existing character and will even grant you a "Eternal Commander Equipment Lootbox" and the ability to use your characters ship without having finished the necessary story.
  4. So, you expected someone, who lost his brother and friend, his home and so much more and who, logically, regrets so much, to have trained just as if nothing had happened? I think the show makes sense the way it is. For me, it would have been unrealistic to see Obi-Wan at his best. No Jedi was at their prime after Order 66, I suppose.
  5. No. Your first choices are canon and permanent. Even if you would rerun a chapter and make different choices, you cannot "overwrite" your original ones. Rerunning a chapter does not change the overall outcome as further chapters will continue with the choices you made during your first play-through. So, if it really bothers you, you will have to re-start the whole class story. Provided that you don't care that much about the original story, you will be able to skip to story content that takes place after your original story, after reaching certain points in that original class story/reaching a certain level. But be careful, those decisions you haven't made yet will automatically be set on "neutral". No romances will be finished and you cannot change the outcome on any of those choices later either.
  6. The dark side *does* have cool aspects, it just highly depends on what you, as the player, prefer. If you rather spare people, in order to gain allies, a pure-dark-side character might not be it for you. The consequences of dark side choices are, in fact, that you are missing good opportunities for self-profit, out of greed for power or out of pure hatred. Would the game give you allies whatsoever, it would destroy a whole aspect of the dark side. Also, it would be unrealistic. You cannot expect to be able to do whatever you please whilst still being able to gain all you want. In KotET/KotFE your decisions start to matter more as they cannot be altered afterwards and (are supposed to) have great impacts on the story. The whole expansions give you several hard choices that, sometimes, leave you with having to sacrifice at least one thing in order to continue with the story.
  7. I take it by "partner" you mean partner in a romantic relationship. If not, then you'd need to clarify for me. Yes, in order to start a romantic relationship you are forced to give certain answers. Use [flirt] or [kiss] whenever you can. But no, you cannot "go back" to re-do the romance. Once you got past your "critical [flirt] option", that would have opened the romantic relationship, there is no going back. Many companions grant you the opportunity for a romance, yet you have to take it. If you do not do so, you've missed that opportunity. No companion gives you the chance to re-start their romance. Of course, if you didn't know that, you are a bit unlucky. The only option you have now is to start a new character, I'm afraid. PS: You asked for both Senya and Arcann. It's impossible to romance both at the same time. You'll need to make a decision at some point of the story.
  8. Wouldn't that depend on what kind of player you are? If you were a player who plays through FPs, does a lot of PvP and so on, sure it would be nice to be able to choose whatever combat style you'd need at that moment. However, if you play for the story, why would you need every combat style for every toon when your main goal is to play every class either way? Personally, I'd rather have several characters with two combat styles because I enjoy the story. Doesn't matter if I played the Sith Warrior story three times already, each time there is a new way on how I can shape my character, new romances I haven't tried, etc. So, multiple toons are pretty useful to me and I don't really care about their combat style either way. I suppose being able to switch to *every* combat style any time has a different "level" of usefulness for every different kind of player. The option to do so might be a good idea as you can use your current toons for all kind of PvP and FP's without having to walk through the whole story again.
  9. *sigh*, it has already been stated several times in this thread but oh well: Should you decide to switch your character's sex you might find yourself in the following problem: Should you have started a male character and got past the critical [flirt] option with a male companion and then you switch your gender, you won't be able to romance that male companion anymore even as a female. Now imagine someone, who didn't know of that, cluelessly switching their gender and "oops"- Then you would find yourself at other fundamental "issues" that are the consequences of a game created more than 10 years ago where least developers thought of such things. The most important "issue" will probably be that same-sex relationships don't exist in the original story- and so on and so on... Your character's gender has no impact on your skills nor on the story's ending. You were given 16 character slots to create 16 characters. Might be a pain to level them up when you already have a lvl 80 toon you feel more connected to, but really- if a game was made in 2011, I think you, it might be unfortunate, have to think of that yourself. Your character's sex is tied to the coding of the game and it'll take *a lot* of work (and I don't even know whether it would be possible or not) to make this possible. Don't get me wrong, in modern games I am a huge fan of the idea but you can't demand such a thing from a 10 years old game.
  10. I've experienced something similar once, too. It can sometimes happen that your cartel coins are not instantly granted, it may even take a few hours. For me, it happened right after a patch and I needed to wait a day to receive them. In case of a flash sale, that's a bit unlucky of course. Not much you can do about it I suppose. Glad you still received the cartel coins in time.
  11. Next to your helmet slot in your character tab you should see an "eye"-icon. Click on it and you should be able to hide the helmet. Before 7.0, it was a bit different as the character tab has changed its appearance.
  12. I am guessing you haven't finished a class story on the account you are currently playing on yet. "Act 3" describes the time of your class story where you are arriving on Belsavis and, after some other planets, end up on Corellia to then finish your class story (this explanation is pretty vague, for further information: https://swtor.fandom.com/wiki/Story_progression). To actually unlock your second combat style, you must have finished this Act 3 with at least one of your toons on your account. I think you are able to choose a second combat style but it will only unlock once the requirements have been fulfilled.
  13. Yup, Sith are *special*. Also, I think it's pretty hard to mess up a romance in general as long as you use the [Flirt] option continuously. Even if you romance someone else at the same time, it either, see the post above, doesn't matter or you'll eventually have to choose one companion but the game will automatically initiate the conversation for that. Whenever you still feel like your answer given was not the best, you may always hit ESC and you'll exit plus reset the conversation.
  14. Don't know whether "bugged" is the right word or not, but Gemini Captain has become more powerful and causes *a lot* of problems for *a lot* of players (many of whom never had any problems with the fight before). She has always caused a certain amount of "despair", yet it was possible to beat her after a few tries. I'd suggest trying again and again with the help you got here already. Maybe you'll find a way. ADD: Every chapter has gotten more difficult, so many things now matter more than they did prior 7.0. Some chapters now require more effort and time, but people will adept (they sort of "must"). However, Gemini Captain has reached a difficulty that least encounters in this game should have, at least as long as you want *all* sorts of players to get through the chapters without losing motivation too quickly.
  15. I think it should be at your character sheet in the form of a "rename icon". If not, maybe check your E-Mail, perhaps they send it back to you.
  16. Honestly, I don't think SWTOR has just recently been put on maintenance mode. Either that happened a year ago or some or not at all. Exactly. Also, that we're missing a roadmap isn't the first time either, in my opinion at least. Beyond that, I wouldn't get why they gave us 7.0. in the way they did if they were really planning to put it on maintenance mode. There were several fundamental changes done and, whether they were good or not, they changed the game in matters in which it hasn't been changed a lot at all. My guess is that they are, let's say, "overwhelmed". They hyped up the anniversary but weren't ready to deliver what they promised. Now they have to deal with the consequences, meaning them having to do a lot of fixes and other stuff, all at the same time. This would explain their "silence".
  17. I don't think you ruined it, no. As far as I know, she gets over it after one or two conversations and you'll still be able to marry her- unless, of course, there was something else (another romance for example) you had going on, but that has nothing to do with the quest.
  18. As that was to hurt the Nova Blade, you don't really free the slaves out of pure kindness or mercy or whatever, you rather hurt your enemy. That said, the slaves are more your pawns. Also, the Inquisitor was a slave once as well. Dark Lords are merciless and it's also up to your own head-canon, but I think it does make sense, for the Inquisitor at least, to spare the slaves as the Inquisitor has experienced slavery themselves. In the end, it doesn't matter whether you sell the slaves "for the highest bidder" or not. Although, I do partly understand why you would want to see such an option in the game. Just giving my take.
  19. I don't see a real "downside". I think it can benefit your own head-canon should you want to (example) let an imperial character embrace the light side of the force thus use a LS combat style. Especially important as a second combat style for those characters who were created prior 7.0. A disadvantage I cannot see whatsoever. Some of my toons don't have a second combat style yet and even if I chose one I mostly kept using my first combat style.
  20. Actually, in a another post two computers are mentioned. I would also recommend trying to repair the game. If you're using the direct download launcher click the "Repair" button in your settings. The streaming launcher requires a different solution, a repair file. If that doesn't work, delete the BitRaider file, open the launcher and wait for the game to repair itself. (For further explanation visit this guide: https://help.ea.com/en/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-launcher-troubleshooting-guide/) If you play on steam you should click on the given link as well, it's a bit more complicated. Had the same issue once and "repairing" fixed it for me but, as already mentioned, it could also be happening due to driver conflicts.
  21. Let's say it depends. Missions I find worth doing a lot are the planetary arcs, those are marked by purple triangles over the mission-giver's head. They grant you important insights into the planet's situation, you can shape your character and the story follows the mission stories. They are fun to do and, unless you are not playing only Story, important for XP. They also grant you nice gear and with that complete the "set" you'd receive combined with your story missions on the particular planets. Side missions are marked by a yellow triangle on your map. Personally, I do them on the starter plantes until Nar Shaddaa/Tatooine for the sake of my XP. That's your choice though. Story-wise, you don't miss much, yet you may receive small rewards. Exploration Missions are usually "invisible" unless you have them turned on in your map (you have to tick the box next to "exploration missions"). They appear as yellow triangles with a little star on them. Ever since there must be players who don't even know these exist, they are not crucial, I'd say even less "important" than the side missions, yet as always worth doing. They grant you XP as well and minor rewards. Repeatable missions as in Story Flashpoints are marked just like the planetary arcs. They also grant you good gear and are important story-wise. They have a similar impact like the planetary arcs and may be important background for further story. Repeatable missions as in other Flashpoints are worth doing although some of them require either a high enough level or a group to play with. Marked the same as side missions. I can't really tell how crucial they are as I never concentrated on them. Repeatable missions as in Heroics are worth doing but can be more challenging. You receive nice rewards and, as always, XP. Story-wise not crucial, yet not completely unimportant. PvP missions are marked with red triangles and weird twiddles around them. They grant you nice rewards but are rather important for PvP-players. However, everything is quite worth playing. It depends on what you want to concentrate on throughout the story. I'd say you should try for yourself for a bit to find out what is important to you and what is not.
  22. I can at least tell you that, as far as I am concerned, it's not a 7.0 "feature" (if you can call that a feature...) or rather "issue" as it has appeared prior 7.0. Try pressing ALT + Enter. Or press ALT + Enter + Enter. You'll be able to change the resolution of the game to be your proper resolution.
  23. Other than that, there are several vendors on the planets (probably not what you are looking for tho). In addition: If you cannot find the lightsaber in your inventory, you should check your mail-box.
  24. I wouldn't want to lose them either but expecting to be able to directly and willingly betray certain people, yet to still be able to just keep them on your side is just irrational. Characters like Lana, who'd stay no matter what, do so because they have it as some sort of a character trait. Others just don't. If people want to be able to make choices with lasting and severe consequences, they have to expect to see things fall apart or not going as planned. Besides that, I think they would include some companions that switch factions with you- maybe depending on your influence level, romance status, I don't care. There are even work-arounds.
  25. I totally get the frustration about that. I have one character, a Sith, whom I later wanted to switch factions as, throughout the story, she should discover the light side of the force. With 7.0, being able to even choose a light-side combat style while being imperial, it seemed perfect. Now you're telling me I actually cannot let her truly switch factions because she will be acting as some kind of a saboteur? I always thought this would be some kind of a choice we could make on whether or not we would want to go undercover- apparently it's not. Yet, however oddly they decided to handle the "switching factions", I think we do need to have some patience. We'd need to wait some time and I hope it won't take all too long but hopefully, in further story, they'll reveal the true consequences of our choice. Maybe we'll get a nice betrayal moment. Regardless of that, I don't think this Saboteur-Thing is made for every character, some of mine would switch factions but they'd never become some kind of an agent. I would have loved to see my Sith talking to the Jedi and trying to be respected by her former enemies. Another day, I suppose.
