    Far as factions go, I don't see any issue in any way. It's a Martial Art. Karate means "China Hand". Not hard to figure out where Karate's basis came from =p

     

    Just to piss about. ;) Karate in its current written form means "empty hand". They changed the original first character (tou/kara) to another one saying "kara" to get rid of "Chinese hand", because the Japanese hated anything Chinese.

     

    One could also argue it originated in India. (yep I'm in one of those moods)

    The dude fixing my car & motorcycles is gay. He went to a big European capital and was hurt during a gay parade, the protesters called him names and threw stuff at him. This made me angry, because they don't know him as i do, the good professional able to repair w/e i break at my vehicles. They don't know he adopted a feral puppy ( it proved to be a Husky mix) or any other aspects of his life. Nooo, he's gaaaay, let's just hurt him! This attitude has to stop.

     

    Difference scares people. Unfortunately you can never root that out from the human brain entirely. But I agree everything needs to be done to minimize that.

    I've had plenty of gay friends and colleagues, but we never really discussed anything of this subject or just 'being gay', because well, accepting each other as we were we didn't really have a reason to. So I have little actual first-hand knowledge on the matter. Then again, I'm from the Netherlands and, the way I perceive it at least, it is in no way as much of an issue here as it is in many other countries.

     

    That was an enlightening read, and for someone such as yourself who's seen and experienced the lows, I can understand the 'pride' aspect a little better now. Mission accomplished. ;)

    Being 50, I'm more of the last generation, and I like to celebrate it, too. Back in the day, when getting chased down the street by guys wielding 2x4's was a real possibility, and during the AIDs crisis of the 1990's, Pride marches in Atlanta were more than just fancy, colorful parties. They meant something, and to do this day, regardless what other significance other people may attach to them, they remain important to me for those reasons.

     

    I'm curious, with your age and experience in the matter, do you feel the movement and pride parades differ nowadays from back then? And if so, in what ways?

    Well, on the payment history it only states that I got two which is when I purchased the subscription before. Are you a subscriber too?

     

    I am yes, but I don't use my credit card. I buy game time codes. Among others because of situations such as these.

     

    When did you unsubscribe and remove your card info exactly? It says in your account's 'Subscription' section that you have 29 days remaining? The payment history you're referring to is the one from this site or your actual credit card company?

     

    I think the quickest way to get an answer would be to call customer support. They should be able to see if a payment came through from your end. The forums and especially just in a topic like this (weekend too) are not exactly the most reliable way of getting a fast reply on something that, imo, is quite an urgent matter.

    I understand what you're trying to say, but for a lot of people in a lot of countries and even in the US Nd EU, people still face challenges because of their sexuality and the like. So it isn't just everyday things for people. It gives people courage and a feeling of acceptance and freedom to express themselves. If it was as normal as you say it is, there probably wouldn't be a pride month.

    I'm fully behind the sentiment of the movement, I just really dislike the usage of the word 'pride' in anything related to sexuality, gender, nationality and the like. :p I do not understand it. To me, that word should be reserved to something you've 'accomplished', not something that just is or happened by birth/nature or chance. But I can already sense I'm far too eager to argue semantics as usual, so it's probably best I leave it at that. :o

     

    I hope everyone enjoys themselves nonetheless, whether they take part or not. :)

    I got reported by a reader of this thread and received a warning via PM. I think that's proof enough that BW/DEVs/EA web support and promote the ridicule of players/customers who support certain companions, including Quinnmancers. No action was taken against the OP of that thread as far as I can ascertain. I have cancelled my sub.

     

    I noticed a couple of posts got deleted and was wondering what was up. It can't have been the OP who reported you though, as his profile shows he hasn't been active since December (edit: seems you figured that out :p). But to hear you received a warning is ridiculous. Did they specify what for? There was nothing dishonest or insensitive about anything you said, you were just standing up for yourself and others. I don't think there is a way to tell if that poster got punished, but considering I received two warnings for a bit politically incorrect posts a while ago shortly after posting them, I find it hard to fathom they didn't do anything about it.

     

    Hope you change your mind about subbing. Don't let something like this ruin the game for you.

    That game really rubbed me the wrong way when I was a kid, I truly hated it lol. Still ranks high on my worst games ever list. :p Also Hoar was the Tusken Raider.

     

    Personally.. I don't like non-force using melee classes in terms of immersion (at least when taking on prime Jedi/Sith), but that's just what that is.. a personal thing. I'm not against the idea though, but I'm more curious how you envision the Teras Kasi part being added into the game, seeing as it is an unarmed fighting style. They would likely have to add a bunch of new animations and such to the game. As much as I'd welcome more classes (and their respective stories), it is just not realistic in my book.

     

    An Underworld faction would be awesome. Lots of opportunities to explore there still.

    Rakghoul event is SO annoying.

    My smuggler got 'stuck' in stage 2 infection after the last Rakghoul event for weeks lol. No coughing fits, just the green aura and glowing eyes. I only used him for crafting at the time so I thought why not keep him like that a little while? It made me stand out. Sadly he did not build up enough antibodies for future immunity though. :p

    My guess is he was expecting people to be fully supportive of his holy crusade against "bugged" RNG packs.

     

    I don't even believe he actually quit.

    The second someone disagreed with you, you resort to name-calling, accusing others of being corporate plants and pumped up "I quit!" messages. 'Kid' seemed appropriate.

     

    I still haven't seen a single coherent argument that supports your demand of a compensation. I'd start there. Though, since you 'quit', I guess it doesn't really matter anymore, now does it?
