  1. Yes I did, and I also completed it (finally). We were doing Battle of Ilum. Just myself and a friend. He hadn't done that FP so I was showing him the sights, and we ended up killing all the bosses including the optional ones. The final boss and on our way out, I got the completion notice. The only thing I have not been doing with PUGs is kill all the bosses. I will give it another try next week and test the "you have to kill all the bosses" theory.
  2. I have thought about that as well. I have handled a number of different swords , and I prefer the Chinese Jian sword. Full tang, double edge, straight blade, no taper, rounded tip. The balance is about 6 in, in front of the cross guard. This puts the sweet spot a little further out, where the blade is still very strong. The fighting technique can be one hand, but it is nice to have a second hand assist on some of the moves. I don't like the curved blade of the Japanese Katana, or the Indian Kukri. The curved blades make the tip difficult to use as a weapon and adds torque when the blade strikes something. What does this have to do with a light saber? I don't think the blade of the light saber would weigh anything, and therefore would offer no resistance to changes in direction. Photons are massless, they are unaffected by gravity directly, but are bent because of gravitational distortion of space due to intense gravitational fields. Electrical fields don't affect light. Think waving a flashlight around. Because the beam has no weight, it would be hard to know where the blade is, or how fast it is moving. Our muscles, joints and brains are wired to gauge these things by the resistance a tool has in our hands. That may be where the force comes in. Jedi who aren't strong in the force, loose limbs. Techniques of sword fighting with light sabers, would include moves to allow the jedi to accelerate blade very quickly at the opponent. The jedi would have to be prepared to hit the opponents' blades. Then the massless, resistance free weapon, would come to an almost sudden stop. That would be very jarring to both and whoever could maintain control of the weapon the best, would probably be the victor.
  3. I know I am missing something. I have tried to follow the directions of these missions, but I have not been able to get them to complete. [WEEKLY] Searching For Allies and [DAILY] Group Finder Veteran Flashpoint I have completed the flash point in with the same group you started. In the case where someone has quit, I finish the flash point and I reset the mission. The only thing I have not done, is killed every boss in the flash point. Even though that is not a stated requirement, is that a requirement? What have people done to get these missions to complete? because I know I am missing something and they just won't complete for me.
  4. Thank you for your reply! I don't mean to be a pest. Thank you for the link. Don't worry about spoilers. I chose not to remember that stuff. That way I am always pleasantly surprised, when I get to that part of the story. And before you go there. I know. My brain is strange. That is a WHOLE other thread!
  5. I know I am coming into the conversation late, but it has been on mind as well since starting the game around Christmas. I create female characters, when I want to be "Myself", but I create male characters because I get tired of watching girls backsides running away from me. While playing one of my male characters, I got the option to flirt/romance. This opened up a whole new aspect of the game to me, and I found out I did not have the option to flirt/romance any of the female companions/NPC's while playing a female. My question is this even possible in the game? It's not that important, but now you have me curious and looking at Kira, Elara, Risha and Mako in a very different way. Does anyone out there find Theran Cedrax cute?
  6. Hello everyone. I have no idea if this is the right forum to put this question, so here goes anyway. I am a relatively new player to SWTOR, and I am completing the class story lines of the Republic, starting the story lines of the imperials. I am finding a lot of information about the 5 companions each class gets working through the class stories. In my travels, Flash Points, and a few Operations, I have seen people with companions that are not one of the original 5. Here's my question: Is there a list of ALL possible companions out there? Where is it? How many companions (max) can a character have? What do we have to do/kill/explore/bribe to get these companions? Thank you in advance for your answers
  7. I am not trying to be insulting, I just found some problems with your website and I just can't remain silent any longer. July events are still up, there are copy paste errors on your events page and on several others that have been there for over month (I will leave it up to you to find those), Community Tour is showing dates from 2015, and MySWTOR page is inaccurate on many different levels. Those are just a few of the problems I found while browsing your site for information. You want to boost numbers? Make your site look like the game is still active: make it look like it is run by professionals. You want to entice people to buy more from your Cartel Store? Give them a reason to come to your site. Give them a reason to buy more stuff. I am going to other people's sites just to find out what current events and updates are running on your game. In some cases they copy your content, and edit out the typos and copy paste errors. Does that sound like a good thing to you? It takes some effort to keep up a website, and it takes a fair amount of attention to detail. You people seem to lack both. This is my observation, not an insult. Correcting these problems will increase sales, because of click rates and dwell times. I'll bet you aren't measuring those, are you?
  8. I came from WOW, and I find the lack of Add-ons WONDERFUL! I got so tired of Gear-check add-ons, where if you didn't meet a certain level in gear, you were kicked from a group. I got tired of the DPS meters, and the kicking of people who didn't perform. The rest of us sat around, until the group could be filled again. These tools (both player and add on) ended up replacing decent game-play with statistical snobbery. Please don't go to the dark side and allow add ons.
  9. Hello, I tried to go to your website, but I see "Orion Consulting". Is there anyone who I can "talk" to IG? I am a new player to SWTOR, but a long time player of MMORPG that pre-dates Asheron's Call (that would be 27 years of game play). Looking forward to hearing from you.
  10. Hello all, I am a new player to TOR, and I am looking for a guild to help me learn the game. Right now, I am discovering everything on my own, and that process could go so much faster in a Guild. There are so many things to do, but I am missing out on a lot of it, because I am a solo player, right now. Mature Player I like to play DPS or Heals RP when I want to just have fun Run story line quests Constantly looking to improve my armor/weapons/skills Crafting, when there is something on TV worth watching Missions, PVP and raids Fridays and weekends.
