  1. Dps sorcs could certainly be made viable for the PVP Arenas, if they could deal damage under pressure, which they currently cannot. As it stands, dps sorcs can only free cast and then kite when attacked, otherwise they are toast. Boosting the static barrier, rather than nerfing it, could help sorcs stay in the fight a bit longer, rather than just run away at the first sign of trouble.
  2. Dps sorcs are a now rarity in PVP, and almost non-existent in Ranked (thankfully, considering the low dps and squishiness).
  3. The so called "buffs" are still not enough to make madness sorcs viable in any 4v4 arena. Address the force management issues and don't nerf static barrier and dark heal.
  4. DPS sorc's current self-heals are weak though. It taken forever to heal to full after using phase walk. The self-heal should have been buffed, not nerfed. With the Trauma Regulators and Kolto-overload, DPS mercs are already much better self-healers and off-healers than DPS sorcs, and their healing is NOT getting nerfed. Also the Static Barrier / Force Armor before the nerf is already much weaker than the shields of comparable classes such as merc and sniper, both of which have much higher DPS and better armor. Nerfing self-heals and static barrier for all sorcs does not make any logical sense at all.
  5. I created a ticket on this subject in the first week of June. The auto-response indicated they were aware of the problem and would fix it in the "next patch"??? Did not happen.
  6. That's why the developers should have INCREASED damage taken by Static Barrier / Force Armor, not reduce it, as they've announced.
  7. I'd recommend Engi Sniper instead. I tried it AFTER marksmanship, and was surprised by the enormous additional damage from the Explosive Probe and other abilities. BW has the burst and sustain dps specs backwards here. Engi feels like a cheat class. Lots of damage while sitting at the same spot.
  8. I do the forward-back tango sometimes, in order to hide my intentions to charge forward or retreat. I usually play as a ranged dps.
  9. I've seen some people jump repeatedly when they are being focused in ranked PVP. It's usually Assassins, but I've also seen some other classes do it. Does it actually help reduce accuracy of incoming damage or something?? Or is it just to avoid being clicked on? It doesn't seem very useful.
  10. I agree that DPS Sorcs should have the best self-heals, rather than mercs, as sorcs have light armor and it makes sense due to the force connection. As for 35 m range, Lightning sorcs already do have it. It's still not very helpful due to low base damage of the abilities. I would trade the 5m difference for more damage any day.
  11. What do you say when a DPS Sorc joins your ranked PVP team? - I have a BAAAD feeling about this.....
  12. They didn't mention anything about nerfing the Merc/Commando off-healing and DCDs, because they supposedly wanted to focus on raw DPS/HPS numbers first. But then they threw their own rule book out of the window, and further nerfed dps sorcs into clown territory.
  13. What? No. Ranked PVP is full of mostly mercs, snipers and operatives. Everyone dies reasonably fast. The high damage makes up for the strong DCDs.
