  1. The whole point of the parsing dummy is to simulate an Operations Boss in order for DPS to practice maximizing DPS via rotation...for stealth classes, this includes STEALTHING as part of the rotation. As it stands, since a recent updates, the parse dummy now IMMEDIATELY resets twithin the GCD that you stealth. For example, when a Infiltration Shadow Force Cloaks/Combat Stealths in order to reset Force Potency. I just saw the message in "Bug reports," saying y'all are looking into fixing this. Mucho Gracias.
  2. there's an outfit tab...no reason that functionality can't be applied to weapons.
  3. Assertion? I've been parsing in many spec's in this game for a long time, including Shadow/Assassin. The dummy used to work flawlessly. Do you parse? The dummy resetting on force cloak is a new bug recently introduced. The dummy is supposed to act as an Operations Boss, ergo it used to have a timer where it wouldn't reset immediately upon combat stealth. To have people grouped in order to parse is unreasonable. The dummy is useless for parsing in classes where force cloak is part of the dps rotation. And this is the stupid response from support: "Greetings MurkyDregs, Thanks a lot for contacting Star Wars : The Old Republic Support for in-game issues My name is Sahil and I’ve replied to your ticket in-game, you’ll find the answer below too. We realize it must be disappointing facing such situations in the game, so I will certainly try my best to provide you complete information in the given situation. I have got some important information for you regarding the concern, So when you enable force cloak it resets the dummy because the fight stops. It is working totally as intended to be. Just to let you know, I have to close your ticket for you to see my reply but closing the ticket does not mean your issue is resolved. You are more than welcome to send in another one if you have additional information or issues. https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support You can check back on the details of this case, and all your other cases, in-game. Click on Request Help or press Ctrl and / to open your case history. Once again thanks a lot for contacting Star Wars : The Old Republic support. 4. They're not under represented and do quite well in PVP. Marksman/Sharpshooter for 1v1, Saboteur/Engineer for control.
  5. Well, it's good to know both Marksman and Virulence. When you need the burst MM is really handy. Rotations...The defacto standard for Viru is called the "Three Cull" rotation. Meaning...you'll get three culls in before you need to reapply DoTs. I recommend going on parsely and taking a look there for examples. Veldix's guide (on Dulfy) is still pretty good for the basics, but there's some adjustments you need to make due to BW instituting certain class changes.
  6. So....because PVP, you break PVE, more. Excellent. /sarc
  7. Yup. I mean, up the MM weekly to 5 instead of three, tie in the schematics to the bonus & final bosses...and award some CMT's for completing the weekly, or some such. That way raiders via group PVE can have better access to the mats and such versus being forced to do ranked. I mean I like ranked, but not everyone else does.
  8. Yeah, awesome, way to go, gate the schematics behind a solitary MM FP, and then make it really difficult for smaller guilds (read raiding guilds...) to get the materials via conquest.
  9. Augments, tell us about the augments. And, given the context of the significant class/spec' tweaks in the last few patches what's your rationale for these augments; how do they fit your paradigm?
  10. Makes more sense to go with db x 3 post WS if under the HB window because HB doesn't effect QD like DB.
  11. In short, no. What you need to do is slowly step through the blocks of the rotation until you have it committed to memory. And then you need to parse to burn it in. And then you need to use it in ops, etc.. to really burn it in because the art in the rotation is knowing where to pick it back up when you've had to drop it. Practice, practice, practice. I struggled for a while with timing the Dot re-application until one-day it just clicked.
  12. Well, I got the apm up to 47-48. That's a good thing, nevertheless I think I'm messing some things up mechanically in the priorities. Hints, tips, would be appreciated: http://parsely.io/parser/view/352830
  13. Thanks as usual Shyroman... neat trick with the snipe to set up the DoT placement.
  14. I've come to the realization that if you can make Markskman/Sharpshooter sizzle it's a great mark of accomplishment. I clock in around 8.5k on the dummy currently. Not bad, could definitely be better. My top parse is like 8.7k at the moment. I'm doing the high alacrity build...but I can hit similar numbers with a high crit build because...I'm not seeing 46-49 apm like the ungodly amazing top parses for this spec'...but that's another topic. Seems to me that a key thing is you want to catch Aimed Shot/Ambush as soon as it's off CD...which in my estimation means that at the 4 second~ mark (before it comes off of CD) that's where you want to be applying the two Charged Bursts/Snipes which proc' the Ambush/Aimed Shot... On another note the other money maker is Penetrating Blasts/Rounds and you essentially want to achieve the same thing meaning wrapping into that channel as soon as it comes off the CD. Within all of this you need to be keeping Vital Shot/Corrosive Dart up and humming... Now, in a lot of rotations I see the DoT just kinda stuffed in there. What's typical is CB-CB-TS-AS-TS-PR-TS (Insert DoT somewhere...) But...timing wise I can't help but think that you should drop a Trickshot (or another instant) when you need to put up the DoT in order to ensure you're catching the money making channels on CD... Sometimes it seems that I can skip a TS and jump right into the PR, or after putting up the DoT and coming around to the CBx2 to proc AS. it's a good time to skip the TS in order to catch the AS right as it comes off of cooldown... That doesn't seem to be the case in a lot of parses I've looked at... So, in general what are some of the timing keys, and best/worst places for the DoT, and do you drop TS as a filler in order to optimize the rotation for max DPS? Thx!
  15. and am now doing the high alacrity build because of the new augments...
  16. I resolved everything...running an 8700k with SSD, 16 gig...I get 40fps in 16 man on Ultra...woot. Now I just need to git gud.
  17. Why Viru versus MM in TFB? I'm curious...my raid team has pushed me into SS/MM because of burst for irregularities/anomolies,,,and the tank killers.,..
  18. Anyone else experiencing this? At least half the time it doesn't function when I cull/wounding shots... A pre-existing thread somewhere?
  19. Definitely Sharpshooter & Dirty Fighter...to cover 99% of the bases. You need the burst of SS/MM in quite a few fights, and Dirty/Viru is a very flexible DoT spec'. Saboteur/Engi is a brilliant spec' if you can play it well.
  20. Thx all...I'm building up a new machine as soon as my 8700k arrives...late this month supposedly.
