  1. Title pretty much says it all, but in defense, my reasoning follows: My first couple characters, I actually enjoyed the auto-trigger cut scenes and the end of certain missions. It felt more natural that the NPC would acknowledge me as soon as I walked into the room instead of waiting for me to find them and click them. Unfortunately, when I got to the Smuggler play through, I discovered this to be a major annoyance. Every time I go to a new planet, the cut scene with Risha auto-starts rather than waiting for me to trigger it. Sadly, when it does this, the cut scene glitches and there are now TWO Risha's - one from the cut scene and the other as background NPC working away at whatever console she uses in the Cargo area. To fix this, I have to [Esc] out of the cut scene and manually trigger it - EVERY SINGLE TIME. When out in the world doing missions - particularly in KOTFE and KOTET missions, conversation cut scenes will often auto-trigger as soon as you are done killing the mobs that end the most recent stage of the Chapter mission. Unfortunately, when these auto-trigger, you are then unable to loot the mobs you just killed, and when the cut scene is over (or you [Esc] out) you are still unable to loot them because triggering the cut scene kills that option - I lost a purple and a couple blues that way in KOTET chapter II The chapters auto-starting is just annoying and feels very disjointed. There are in-game mails (story mails) that are triggered after completion of certain chapters that are supposed to wrap up the story of that chapter. If you want to get those mails at the appropriate point in the story, you have to manually escape from the start of the next chapter to go and read them, else you end up doing what I did in KOTFE and reading 3-chapter old mails talking about hunting someone down after you've already killed them. I can't find a good reason for auto-starting each Chapter as soon as the previous one has been completed, unless EA/BW is just afraid that if we stop playing for a moment without being in the middle of a mission, we might decide not to continue ...
  2. My Consular (main) had no connection with either Vette or Torian at that point. He's a pragmatic LS, so both were decent people, but he had no connection beyond that. What ended up making the decision for me, the player, was that Vette is the only female companion I have, now, with customizable gear. Since my JC is also my character with all of the money, I need a customizable female comp. to be able to preview gear for my female toons before buying.
  3. Ever since I launched KOTET Chapter 1, every time I log in, the Load screen that usually gives the overview of your current location in the story has defaulted to showing "Chapter 4: Rise of the Hutt Cartel" Even after having completed all of the KOTET chapters - when typically the overview screen would be showing some form of "Interlude" still shows RotHC every time I log in that character.
  4. I like Marshall <Character Name> or Warden <Character Name>
  5. Have opened 3 Command Crates now. No set-bonus gear (not that I care) Have gotten: 2 Orange cosmetic shells - disintegrated because they were ugly and don't go in Collections 1 Orange 230 1 Blue 230 1 Purple 230 (weapon) 1 230 Schematic 1 minipet (disintegrated because I don't like the pets) Couple of random green Rep tokens
  6. Completing KOTET Chapter rewarding 210 Green gear that is objectively worse than the 208 gear I bought with Common Data Crystals - there is zero reward to those "Chapter rewards"
  7. Since Ranos has actual gear in her slots, whereas Shae only had multiple customizations to change her entire gear appearance, I'm going to guess that Ranos was intentional.
  8. Same here - not every single time, but 99% Just started doing this with 5.0
  9. Ah, fair. I had not noticed that correlation. Benefit of the doubt tentatively restored, then.
  10. I am also curious about which part was unintended. Given than of the complaints I've heard thus far there are at least three different Valor requirements among different weapons (48, 40, 30-something) I find it impossible to believe that the Valor requirements, themselves, were unintentional. Perhaps, as suggested by a couple folks as fixes, pre-earned weapons were not supposed to receive Valor requirements, but I doubt all of the various different Valor numbers were just randomly assigned to weapons by mistake. Here's also hoping for a speedy sorting of this issue so that those affected can play the game the way they desire.
  11. And I can further confirm that this was a design decision, not a bug, based on my ticket response this afternoon. I'm sure sharing our feedback here on the forums is going to do a LOT of good ...
  12. Dumbest move so far. Shadow here, a single functionally spammable AOE that requires me to be in melee range of the things to hit - meaning the catwalks above them? useless. I have to run around on the floor, trying to jump through and over already exploded ones to get the ones that didn't go. Can't even imagine trying to do this on my Jugg. I am just about done - and I came back after a year away (even had to start a brand new account because EA/BW couldn't get me back into my old one) specifically for this expac.
  13. Probably to force everyone back into the neutral state so that no one has an "advantage" in the early stages of the new DvL system? I personally think it's dumb if this is the case because it's going to screw over all the people that have items that require certain Dark or Light levels to use.
  14. Ah, much like when I recruited Qyzen. Even better - so Troopers get 80% of their previous companion influence returned, while I (and other Consulars) only get 20% of the Influence work we've done to that point back. The other 80% is just out the window to-date.
  15. My problem with the return (or not) of the companions is more mechanical. I understand where some people become attached to the companions on an emotional level, and I'm not discounting that, but I would like to present a different perspective. I have not leveled every class so I don't know absolutely every companion in game, but with a single character through KotFE and reading up on the Lore presented for each companion that did return I noticed immediately that there were (within the story - freely given) something like 4 or 5 Imperial companions returned and 2 Republic. Now, reading this thread, I understand that the Trooper gets back 4 of the original 5 (albeit with a PVP grind) and I think i read that the Bounty hunter does as well. I know the JK gets 2 of theirs and it looks like most classes get 2 or 3 of their originals - not sure, again, not completely 100% on who belongs to whom originally. On the outset, this has a general feeling of imbalance and unfairness, but it's more in terms of a popularity feeling. It feels like the devs / writers like certain classes better, but they're just companions, right? I mean, when they are returned, -everyone- gets them, so I'm not being shorted companions just because I'm playing a Consular who only gets 1 comp. back, right? Not exactly - see, the original companions come back with the Influence rating they had when you last saw them, or Influence 1 (or 10 for those you have to grind up to 10 before you can recruit them.) So for the classes that get 3 or 4 of their originals back, they have the opportunity to keep all the work they've already done in ranking their companion Influence up, while those of us that only get 1 or 2 have to start over with a brand new set of comps to grind Influence, and watch any influence in those non-returning comps just go sailing out the window.
  16. If you have other suggestions, I'm always open to cool looks, but this is definitely a solid look that I can poke at options here and there to tweak if I need to (if I have trouble collecting pieces)
  17. You can get ... close. Aric (as well as the other male Cathar Jedi NPCs you see around) appear to be a slightly different head/face model than what is available through the PC builder options. You don't quite get as pronounced feline muzzle on any of the PC head options, but if you pay real close attention and look at the head selections from different angles, there are a couple that look better than others. The other thing that stands out with Aric that you cannot replicate are his eyes. I've actually asked on the suggestion forum for Cathar eye options like his. You really cannot even get close to his eyes with the options available. Other than that, though, play around with the different fur / pattern / complexion combinations to get the coloration and make him bald.
  18. Yeah - Had to go look him up Body: 2 Head: 9 Scars: 9 Complexion: 8 Eye color: 3 Beard: 1 Pattern: 8 Hair: 2 Hair Color: 3 Fur: 7 Thanks again for the help
  19. Cool - Not the direction I was thinking, but I kinda like it based on your description. I was actually thinking more of someone raised on a desert world/society from birth - more of the wrapped Bedouin styled garb, but with Star Wars flare. I don't know if there -is- anything like that in game - I've tried pouring through TOR-Fashion but I have a very hard time navigating that site. PS: you are almost spot on with your basic guess at male Cathar design. Mine's white with tiger stripes, no beard, but I believe that is in fact the right hair.
  20. I'm looking to put together a "Desert Nomad" look for my Male Cathar Jedi Shadow I'm fairly new so I don't have a lot of cash for acquisitions or large collection of unlocks to work with, but I'm willing to work for gear pieces that are actually attainable. My biggest thing with putting this together - I'm not a fan of skirts or capes. I don't like the way they look when moving, and the clip really badly with my Cathar Warstaff. Looking forward to seeing what you can come up with.
  21. I don't necessarily -want- to unlock them in collections, but if they were unlockable, at least there would feel like a reason to keep the random pieces of junk around until I had the full set. Once I had the set, unlock, then get rid of it and no longer taking up space AND feel like I've accomplished something. As is, if I ever manage to collect an entire set, all I feel like I've accomplished is taking up space with something that I'll never use. Upside - at least I know I can throw out all of the horrible looking helmets and mostly useless bracers and just keep the chests, gloves, belts and boots I like, now
  22. Why would I want them in the future if I already can't stand the way they look?
