  1. I think that instead of Force ghosts, the Inquisitor could've used the theme of searching for ancient Sith Knowledge and dig into the past and find out how the Emperor became so powerful and use a lessen version of the method to become more powerful to defeat Thanaton (it would seem like a stretch, story-wise, to make them as powerful as the Emperor). So perhaps whatever ritual the Emperor did used up too much power that can't be used again, but the Inquisitor can still perform it on a lesser scale. And they could use their power base to help, whether it involves sacrificing members or ordering them to find alternate means of locating things for building power. This way, it doesn't seem like the Inquisitor is borrowing someone else's power but gains their own strength through means inspired from the most powerful being in the Empire, through their own right. I also wish Xelak to appear sooner than after Voss. I don't know why but I like the gaining a Korriban apprentice and I do like Xelak and would've liked more time with the character to get his imput on other story missions during cutscenes on planets.
  2. I really have difficulty imagining BT 1 Male and BT 4 Male for these classes, and take them seriously on an RP viewpoint.
  3. Another thing I'd change is the Consular story. One way is the whole healing ritual thing. You have a choice to kill the corrupted person or save them from corruption. The problem is, none of them are doing these things willingly, so killing them makes no sense for the story. And lore-wise the Consular is suppose to be weakened each heal, but we don't see that, other than them going to their knees and someone saying they look sick. I'd probably tweak it so that the Consular can only use it a limited number of times and not enough for everyone, so they have to be sure they want to use it as not to waste it. Perhaps DS choices would make more sense in stories if there weren't a guaranteed cop-out, whether it's limiting the healing ritual, making the corrupted actions intention by their own free will, or something to that effect. As for Trooper, it seems most of their primary stories involved finding people, be it traitors, or recruits. Chapter One was good, establishing Havoc Squad and its importance with the Republic. Then, Chapter Two (usually the boring section of most stories) occurs and your just finding new members for one mission. The Guantlet is a credible threat, but the story is dull. Then Chapter Three, finding more people for war. I did like Belsavis story of recruiting Republic pilots who were imprisoned for political reasons. But then the Voss story and the majority of Corellia missions was pretty repetitive. Also that the main villain would have either more of a presence in the story and we see how dangerous he is (as oppose to being told), and he's more involved when the story goes to different planets. So instead of the Trooper having to save Voss from some random Sith, they fight a minion of Rakton. Though I do think Grand Moff Kilran would've been a more interesting antagonist for the Trooper.
  4. That's certainly feasible. BH does kill the most force users than any other non-force user in the game.

    Marr

Hi, took me a while but I just caught up to the latest chapter. Wow, what a ride the Marr and Liaseph have been through. He does have the right idea, in having them talk. It could be so much worse to live in silence and let the tension grow. He also makes a fair good points in his views, as does Liaseph. It might likely end in tears, but at least they aren't going in completely blind to the likely situation the relationship could be.
  6. I would've definitely liked to see more of Xelak and wish we saw more of his talents as a Sith before recruiting him. That way, when he takes out the competition, we would want him because we know he has potential. Unfortunately, it's written that you recruit him because either you enjoy his aggressiveness, or because you don't have the time to wait for a new set of apprentices. And because he is a late arrival, and not a big talker, he doesn't share much opinions when you make choices in the game. I'd like some compare/contrast between the Inquisitor's two apprentices, including thoughts on one another.
  7. With a Jedi Knight, I really Rp'd it. Mostly LS, but there have been DS choices that I made that were selfish or committed for the greater good, especially at Act III.
  8. I'd say this was less Mass Effect 2 choice and more of a Mass Effect 1, with Ashley and Kaiden scenario, where only one can survive, all a matter of preference. I like Vette more, so I'd pick her and I thought a Mandalorian could hold off fighters for a little longer than a thief.
  9. I'm probably repeating old criticisms. I don't like that the story is put on all characters, but it's designed only for Force character protagonists. I cannot see my Smuggler or Bounty Hunter going through these trials of learning more of the Force. I mean it might be much to ask Bioware to create independent storylines for each class but they could've at least segregated the Force and non-Force characters, where the non-Force characters can do much impactful stuff to Zakuul, (like retrieving the Gravestone or robbing the treasury) while the Force characters deal with the leadership.
  10. I think that they didn't want to bring back romantic interest companions unless they were playing a larger role than a single companion quest.
  11. If you could sum up the overall central theme for each class story, what would it be? Here are some examples (may add more later): Sith Inquisitor: Freedom - the SI starts as a slave, then they are discovered being Force-sensitive and they rise through the ranks, becoming more powerful, until they are no longer ruled over anyone but themselves. Bounty Hunter: Their story is centered around vengeance. From the beginning, its was avenging fallen comrades/allies and then later, it's about revenge on those who tarnished the hunter's infamous name. Jedi Consular: About compromise and trust. Primarily a political driven plotline, its about gathering allies, and being able to trust one another. Agent:Identity. How does one define themselves and their place in the Empire.
  12. Really, I liked the Sith Inquisitor story the most. At it's bare bones, regardless of choices, it's really about someone who starts off in their life at the very bottom and claws their way up while constantly trying to fight being pushed back down by others of higher authority. Now, the inquisitor can be LS where they sympathize and try to make life better in the Empire as a whole; they could be DS, where they are ruthless, being what is expected of a Sith in high command, or neutral/mix of both. But regardless, the person you start off at the beginning struggles to free themselves from the confines they were born with. And the last line of the Sith code embodies this: Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.
  13. Honestly, it's really dependent on your preference. The Agent seems to get the most praise from fans while consular and trooper seem to get the most criticism (though I really didn't mind consular and I have yet to try out trooper).
  14. I don't think you'll get much arguments against this. Bioware made some great companions in other franchaises, like Dragon Age and Mass Effect, and getting to spend more time with them, doing missions along side them where they had a personal stake in it, really made the game more enjoyable. Even companions that I initially didn't like got improvement through getting to know them in some manner other than simply talking to them.
  15. I'll probably have more as I play the games, but for now:
  16. Many times I turn on the Light and Dark side indicaters. But for Trooper, I turned it off, because I'm curious to see how my own decisions affect my alignment. I don't remember much from the Trooper storyline, but I do recall the last decision where you had to choose between trading an Imperial general for prisoners (Light); or keep him imprisoned (Dark). For me, that decision shouldn't influence Light vs. Dark because both choices have merits of good and bad. On one hand, you can save many prisoners and return them to the Republic. But on the other hand, the general was difficult to catch, and freeing him give the Empire an intelligent, strategic player, which could cost the lives of millions for the Republic. While the choice should affect the Trooper ending, it should influence if they are going Light or Dark side.
  17. I think there was an idea during development that the player to be rid of or kill certain companions, so you could kill guys like Skadge, Quinn, or Vik. But the developers changed their minds, so in the initial game, you can't get rid of any of your companions.
  18. I'm actually looking forward to this more than the mainline sequels. The first sequel was great and I look forward to the next one, but it is nice to take a step back and see things from the view of the "little people" (aka, not the primary mainline heros) who in some way helped the main heroes accomplish victory. Plus the main character looks totally cool, and seems to fit my favorite kind of hero trope. Someone who did not initially sign up to help, and doesn't initially care to join, but was roped into helping the good guys and actually shifts the tide that leads to success...Basically a Han Solo-like character.
  19. From what I see for the most part, choices only matter if there is no follow up to it. Meaning the choice=consequnce is contained in a single game or chapter. Once we get past that, it's clear the writers worry more about creating a scenerio where all choices lead to the one scenerio, rather than create multiple scenerios suited to different choices.
  20. Story-wise, what seems to be more fun, playing a Dark Jedi or a Light Sith. I was going include the other classes, but I feel those classes seem to be more neutral and can lean in either direction, as oppose to Sith and Jedi, who's classes are encouraged towards the extreme opposing sides.
