  1. Please for the love of god no. Local LFG tool, sure. Cross-server? NO THANK YOU. Cross-server lfg tools should only be implemented for two-year-old content.
  2. As long as it's not cross-server, I wouldn't mind a dungeon finder.
  3. Dual talent spec: good idea. Dual advanced-class: how *********** stupid would you have to be to think this is a good idea? Really? There are 8 classes in this game. Not 4, not 16, there are 8. Eight. Get it? Asking for dual advanced-class would be like asking Blizzard to let you switch between Warrior and Death Knight on the fly.
  4. Moral subjectivity and ethical relativity are big NO-NOs for the average dude. To your average shmuck, Light = good and Dark = bad, because they think the world is a black/white world with clearly labeled heroes and villains. The sad thing? Most people maintain this unbelievably blind and fanatical view of life well into their elder years, and often to death. Even the movies tried to explore the concept of 'points of view', which probably went over the heads of 99% of the viewers. -_-
  5. There are parts of the game that will make any PC beg for mercy. I particularly found any place with fog (rare as they are) suddenly drop my framerate. I run at 1920*1080 with every setting maxed, vSync off, but when there's fog nearby, there's a good chance my framerate is dropping to near single digits. Otherwise it runs decent enough. Kind of frustrating that I can max every single god damn setting in Crysis 2, and yet this game gives trouble.
  6. Tips: 1) When there's nothing on the screen, stop firing, so your shield can recharge. 2) You can actually move the ship with WASD instead of just the mouse, allowing you to both aim at a target, and dodge incoming fire at the same time. 3) Missiles go through anything to hit their target. 4) You can rapid fire missiles into a single target, like heavy fighters, by spamming right click on them.
  7. When I saw a picture of Azshara, I thought I'd get a mature, intelligent jedi woman I'd get to have a sort of intellectual back-and-forth with. Instead I got a proud child. Frustrating.
  8. Ah man, slowly falling in love with a woman who lost her husband. That romance was great. I personally thought the romance with Bastila in Kotor was amazing, but I have a serious love for Jennifer Hale. Metal Gear Solid, Brutal Legend, wherever I can find her, I love her.
  9. Holy **** a Babylon 5 quote. You sir, are automatically awesome.
  10. I use the left quickslot bar for my companion. I put abilities that I'll use in combat in the bottom, and abilities that I use outside of combat in the right bar. For actual combat, moves that I use regularly go into slots 1-6, and on the second quickslot bar I use keybinds Q, E, R, T, F, G, C, X, and my extra mouse button, totaling 15 abilities that I have in quick access to. I personally love it. Makes it so I actually have to think about what I'm doing, instead of going 2-3-2-3-2-3-1-repeat like in WoW.
  11. You can have 4 quickslot bars... Edit: My bad, didn't read thoroughly enough. Anyway, too many abilities? Yeah, I'd much rather too many than too little (looking at you, every other MMO in existence)
  12. Bioware doesn't want to create a cross-server LFD, which is perfectly understandable, as cross-server LFD turned WoW into a joke. TOR does need a better LFG system though, I admit this.
  13. Good memory, HA. WoW at launch: Servers would go down for days at a time. Mobs could take up to 20 minutes to loot, during which time you'd be frozen in the pick-up animation. Server and Client would not agree upon mob location, often making it seem like you were being attacked by an invisible mob. Quest rewards would get stuck. Quests (including their associated kill XP) would only get you about 1/3 of the XP you needed to continue from an area, the rest you had to grind. PvP attacks could be fired through walls. Spell-resurrection didn't always work. Self-resurrection didn't always work. Average server latency was over 200 (I get 60 on TOR now). It goes on, and on, and on.
  14. Specifically toward character creation argument: Forcing people to play races that are very humanoid is an unfortunate but necessary effect of having a heavy story-based game. Asking for a Jawa or Wookie to be a playable race is a FAR, FAR larger task than you're considering, easily taking up 10 times as much work to implement compared to the other races. 20 times even, if they get new VO work for unusual races. Same reason you can only play a human in Mass Effect. It would have been absolutely ludicrous and a monumental expense to allow you to play another race in Mass Effect. The reward is simply not worth the cost. In the future, I can see more races being available, but they'll all very likely be more of the human-ish races, like the Cathar and Togruta.
