  1. I like the idea of Pooled Hatred only affecting certain abilities and including stuns not only snares and roots. Adding DR to that would probably make it a must pick which is something that should always be avoided. Other than that i really think Rage/Focus needs more passive damage mitigation. Not just those 3 DCD's and then "whoops youre gone". So many classes as of now have ridiculous consistent mitigation that it just makes Juggernaut feel very lackluster, especially considering he is a heavy frontline bruiser. Rage/Focus Utility and Movability are on point in my opinion. If you use your stuff right, it is hard to kite you. If you prematurely use them, people are able to kite you. Just as it should be. On top of that you offer decent dmg mitigation for your team through Intercede Guard Taunt and Threatening Scream. What BW now could do for Rage/Focus make us tankier or increase our damage to align us with the rest of most classes. What i think Bioware should do though is: Get all the other classes defensive capabilities down to our level and reduce the overall consistent damage mitigation of other classes in the game. That way our utility becomes a lot more noticeable and important plus our damage would start to have a way better impact on most classes thus forcing them to play a lot different and giving classes like the Juggernaut a lot more room to breath.
  2. Id love to see some parses or especially PvP Experience concerning this. So far i stack 85% critdmg softcap, 10% alacrity, dump rest in power for PvP and it works fine for me. Though i always hope for this one secret trick that would turn Rage finally into the Killing Machine it deserves to be. It's a strong spec dont get me wrong, but sometimes the effort you have to put in to do well compared to other classes / specs just makes it very apparent that Bioware really doesnt have much love for Rage.
  3. So i just came back recently, prior to the CXP nerf to the dailies and was roaming the daily areas with a friend of mine in the PvP instance. I gotta say, haven't had that much fun in SWTOR in quite a while. In 2 Hours of playing we had like 5/6 random World PvP encounters and smacked the **** out of those guys. Two 2v2's even that were super fun and lasted for a while. Why nerf the CXP and render the open world a deserted wasteland again? It was so much fun finally seeing the open world and experiencing it. Im not telling you guys to up to back where it was. But the dailies should be worthwhile doing! Get people out in the open world again. This game dies from being so instanced even though it has such a beautiful open world. Let people experience it doing worthwhile activities instead of just for the sake of nostalgia! Doing 1 hour of Warzones incl. Quests (dependant on wether you win or not) amounts to roughly 6000 to 10000 CXP. The same amount of time in dailies right now barely grants you 4000 CXP (roughly 2 zones if youre quick) with the exact same buffs (current CXP Event + CXP Boost). Please do something about it and motivate players to leave the fleet or their starships/homes again and go out and venture this beautiful world that we have in SWTOR. Add Dailies for every planet so even boosted players get to experience those planets. And bring the CXP back up to a level that makes it just as worthwhile as queueing for PvE or PvP content. Or even a bit more to give an extra incentive.
  4. The pace of PvP at the moment is really slow. Average TTKs are extremely low, good players with the right classes almost never die. One of the main reasons though is that most people dont gear or play their classes right. Check your stat priority and your rotation. Looking for PvE Guides and then finding a compromise that works in PvP environments usually works best. Aside from that though, yes, the game is still fairly slow paced compared to other MMO's. But they are already working on it. With 5.5 a lot of healer nerfs hit the game and a lot of class balancing tweaks were done. But those were just the first of many more to come as far as the 2017 road map states. I'd love for the game to be more fast paced, a lot of classes are already in a good spot. Some just still need to be brought down to that level too. and the game will be a lot more fun.
  5. For example. Another idea that i had, was lowering the daily and weekly req by half but make it require actual wins to force people to actually fight to win. As in 1 win for the daily and 10 wins for the weekly. Thats not unachievable for a dedicated PvPer, even if youre unlucky with teammates or just flatout not a good pvper yourself. It would at least keep those out that arent even willing to try in the first place. I think the issue is not that people cant play their class, it's that they simply dont bother trying as they dont care about PvP as such, thus ruining the experience for everybody else.
  6. It is really annoying losing rating because you get paired with PvE'ers that simply dont give a damn about it and just sit there and wait until somebody kills them. I think there should be an added mechanism that revokes players quest progress on the PvP Quests if they heavily underperform.
  7. I'd love to see a quality guide on Rage/Focus Talents/Rotation for HM/NiM. Also how to properly utilize utility for maximized group benefit (when to Awe/Kick/Masstaunt f.e.).
  8. Hopefully with upcoming content and the server merge, the pvp instances in the world and also ranked/unranked is gonna get a bit more busy again. For that i am searching for a guild. You should provide: Voicechat Players that are proficient and/or passionate about pvp. Active Roster of Players. Focus on PvP, but willingness to PvE for the sake of variety. I will provide: Activity in Voice aswell as Ingame and on the Forums. Willingness to learn, and later on, teach fresh players. Easy going and drama free. Around 15 years of experience with rated/nonrated PvP in MMORPGs. Around the same amount of PvE experience just more casual in recent years due to real life making progress raiding rather impossible. I am currently maining a Jugg and a Guardian on Harbinger. Started SWTOR when it was initially released, but stopped soon after due to the heavy lag spikes on the fleet and low fps issues. Came back to the Game just when 4.0 hit, had a blast doing some Rated and non Rated PvP and then quit again due to not really being able to find a community of able bodied players to enjoy the game with. Now resubbed since 5.4 just casually strolling through warzones. Imp: Cruzify Pub: Tiuz Hit me up ingame or here on this post. Cheers.
  9. Guardians/Juggs? Definitely the most consistently underwhelming class in the game. Have 3 people focus them for 15 seconds and theyre dead and useless until their defensives are back up.

    PvP marauders

At least you guys can stealth out. Jugg/Guardian just gets eaten alive unless his team supports him. Thats just the dilemma of the warrior/knight class in general. We can deal decent damage, but due to the fact of not having any consistent damage mitigation, we just get eaten once our defensives are on CD. Best you can do is hope for teammates to support you, manage your DCD's as effective as possible, watch your positioning. Storming headfirst into battle is mostly a bad decision.
  11. I think its good. Now DPS classes' defensive capabilities need to be tuned down and pvp could actually become fun again.
  12. Big issue of the current state of PvP imo is that some classes defensives capabilities are just too potent. If anything, they should tune down all the other classes to the level of Jugg/Sorc etc. to make PvP a bit more fast paced again. This "sitting on one target for 3 minutes" really gets annoying sometimes. It goes to the extent that some dps specs simply cant be beat by other dps specs because their consistent selfheal/utility just outvalues the consistent dps of the other class. Overall Defensives need to be tuned down exept for the classes that already have rather insignificant dcd's
  13. Yeah easiest way is for sure to just play the flavour classes and call a decent strat that everybody agrees upon. Its a shame that BW really doesnt seem to give a single **** about PvP Class Balance. Juggernaut/Guardian or PT dps have been obsolete for months/years now. I dont have issues with a meta, but it should change every once in a while...
  14. playing on a 55inch 4k TV. Despite the size of my TV the cursor is still incredibly small in 4k and i often lose it in tense battles. Please add the option to customize cursor size!
  15. Guess this is high enough as first entry? Cruzify Juggernaut Biggest Hit - 36541 http://i.imgur.com/wGz1Bzx.jpg
  16. Id rather not be tunneled to eternity AND get damage that is rotationally demanding rather than having flat out dmg increases to filler abilities and being harder to kill. After all a Rage or Vengeance Jugg is NOT a tank. So they shouldnt be incredibly tanky. Align with the spec-fantasy. Give Rage Juggs a Hulk-Passive. The more he gets attacked or continously attacks, the angrier he gets and the more dmg he does. Tunneling problem solved. Give Vengeance a buff that enables a really heavy hitting ability to retaliate whenever they get attacked. Be more creative than just: OMG BUFF DEF AND GIEF DMG PLX. Its boring.
  17. Wow man 9k dps as rage jugg is pretty dope. Care post your rotation and ability picks? I just got back into the game, topping ladders in WZs with around 3,2-3,9k dps on average. But im sure theres room for improvement!
  18. So every once in a while when adds land a lucky hit on you before the tanks taunt, your next melee attack does more dmg. I dont think this is gonna make every other talent obsolete. Itll be surely nice for skank. But definitely wont make that big of a difference for the regular jugg dps spec, as youve pointed out yourself: So it would be a super situational talent that could bring minor dps boosts every now and then in PvE but it definitely could cause a good change in PvP. And looking at our parses, Jugg could definitely need a little hand dps wise anyway.
  19. Hey, pvp rage jugg passin through. I have absolutely no idea of pve and thus my curiosity. Why is chilling scream part of the baseline rotation? Arent there enough abilities that hit harder?
  20. Yeah that kind of stuff. What happens to me all the time f.e. is i charge at people. They lag out. Suddenly stand somewhere else when i reach them. And then a second later, i teleport to their location as my charge realises he was standing somewhere else allready when i charged him. High latency of players is just managed pretty badly in this game. It affects everybody instead of just the guy having it. Like i said, in WoW when i lag out, the game stops recording where i am and just leaves me attackable in the place, when i reconnect, it puts me back to the last conversed location between my computer and the gameserver. This works way better for everybody and doesnt cause this "warping".
  21. Well no. Cause what it would do is force people to kill us in CC Chains, because just focusing us while we got defensives and a healer in our back would turn us into deadly killing machines thanks to that new version of Pooled Hatred. So it would force people to think about WHEN to attack a Juggernaut (f.e. when he is out of defensives or the healer sits in CC), because they would immediately get punished when he turns around on them. So no, it would not make us a more viable focus target as we are right now getting focused all the time anyway. This would punish people for blindly tunneling Juggs. And also add more depth to our PvP rotation. And as it goes for PvE, only if you actually skank tank. Other than that you will not take "direct damage" in the absolute majority of bossfights as a dps Juggernaut. That is why i limited it upfront to "direct damage over a certain treshold". I put it like that for a reason. And it would work just fine.
  22. I would rather have Juggernauts deadlier than just tankier. To compensate for the focus-target issue just fix Pooled Hatred. Make it ramp up not only on slows but also on direct attacks above a certain damage treshold. And we are good. It would definitely make people think twice before mindlessly tunneling guardians/juggs for prolonged periods.
  23. Honestly if somebody is able to do decent dps by himself, why resort to cheating? Sounds fishy to me. If youre using scripts to win ranked, youre nothing short of a bad player, period.
  24. Any class with a CC and an Interrupt tbh. For example as rage juggernaut i find it very easy to kill healers when they let themselves drop below 40%ish. Just kick the next cast, stun off of it. And burst him down. Usually they dont survive this if they have nothing to cancel the stun. Just dont expect Healers to die from 100% to 0% by one class. Thatd be extremely dumb.
  25. I can give you my opinion on this but dont expect a discussion as i got pretty straight up principles and views, and youre not gonna change them. As ive stated already, ive been playing competitive PvP in MMOs for over a decade now, and im nowhere near being a pro. But i am a solid player. I did not become a solid player because i have a talent or a specific genetic predisposition that grants me any kind of advantage over other players. No i am simply a solid player because i commit to what i do. The biggest sickness of our generation are excuses. Took me quite a while to understand it myself, but its in our upbringing. We fail at something, our parents are embarassed or angry, come up with an excuse and the responsibility is off of us. This way we learn from an early age that failing is not a problem aslong as we find an excuse for it, rather than having to face consequences for failures. And this is easily seen in sports, but it also translates to our jobs or our personal lives. This here is not even real life, its a hobby in an online world. If you want everything pre-chewed and served warm so you dont have to put any effort into improving your performance, then PvP is simply not for you. Because even for really outstanding players, it never is easy. So what i see in your post is basically what i suffered from when i was younger myself: Looking for excuses. Try to quit that and youll lead a much happier and relaxed life. Take responsibility for failure and life with it. Take it as an incentive to improve. And if you achieve that mindset, then youre good to go to actually get better and start to really enjoy competitive gaming. You dont have to be talented to get good at something, you just have to commit and learn. As long as i see players being self-critic and striving to improve, i have no issue to play with them no matter how bad they perform, because with that mindset, sooner or later, they will be good. BUT if you have someone on your team that underperforms, fails at the objective, etc. And then comes up with some ridiculous excuse to blame it on something or somebody else. They will never get any better. And those people drag down any pvp community.
