  1. That is how it should have been with KOTET/KOTFE from the beginning! I personally do not like non-Force users but I imagine people who play them have every right to feel weird when suddenly a trooper or agent get Valkorion abilities with no experience in controlling the Force. Also lore about artifacts, rituals, Force ghosts etc shouldn't be equally understandable or meaningful for them. Force users might be doing the path that is currently there, while non-Force users might take over the fleet by slicing the computer system, introducing virus, sabotage etc. If something Force-related could not be avoided, we had Lana, Senya, Scions... to make magic. Well, what is done, is done. But now they could make the story different for everyone: two outcomes dark vs light or Empire versus Republic two paths to get there - mainly Force, mainly technology. I also like the idea about letters we could reply and get some story results. This would introduce some role-play without any effort besides some good writing. No graphic models, no voice acting, nothing except writing. Cheap, effective, briliant. As to romances, i will repeat myself, but there are too few options. And I cannot understand why every Sith who starts romance is supposed to be faithful monogamist... More here http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=911997&highlight=romances
  2. The coming update is supposed to have Flashpoint: Crisis on Umbara. I'm reading Umbara was the place where new Sith faction was established. So it may be that the Sith Empire will go into disarray and new leader will emerge http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Ruin
  3. Hello. So I'm having these problems: - pressing PrtScn key does not allow to catch screenshots during cutscenes - pressing PrtScn allows normal screenshots, but it randomly stops working, resumes after game restart - "show dark side corruption" shows corruption only on character miniature in character panel, but not on the character itself - EDIT: nevermind, probably my fault :/ - I have maxed gamma but still the game seems very dark, is that normal?
  4. So, what can I expect in the near future? Holidays are ahead. JULY There is an update in July, but... I'm afraid introducing the twin sisters will go without the story Which would be unfair since Tyth got some story. And the Scions might have something - anything - to say [please also include option to banish them :/ I don't trust them, I don't want them. ]. Stronghold - may be nice, but it does not push the story forward. UNLESS there would be a side quest to discover the SH. Wouldn't that be sweet? Old Companions - expect to see more of them returning throughout the year - when? In November?? So, in JULY, I will probably get nothing to work with, though I have many ideas how even a solo player might have some fun with this update. Maybe some development in our search for the traitor? AUGUST One flashpoint is coming, it is nice but it also is very little. Next update could be September and with so many old companions missing when would you bring them back with few months left? In 2018?!?! I would expect EVERY update to bring some SOLO STORY. It does not have to be the main story. Nobody lives focused on one single thing. But the character cannot just stand there in the corner waiting for months. I want my main characters to have something to do, to show their personality. Right now I'm doing vanilla story on new character because I'm bored otherwise. Why don't we get some fillers?! - new, quick but funny / amusing companion quest - side quest -puzzles Iokath as daily didn't work for me at all. You people in BW really seem to have to little manpower to truly support the game. I entered the game when it already had lots of expansions and before KOTFE/KOTET I was never forced to wait so long for so little. Right now I'm not sure what am I paying for monthly. Ah, yes to keep you from ruining my equipment and taking away my credits. Nice.
  5. Tip: decorations can be removed and used again
  6. The difficulty is fine. Improve your tactics. Most important thing I can remember is: fight her on the lower level, when she is casting overload AoE climb to the throne - you will be out of the damage radius, go back when she finishes (probably she will save you the trouble by pulling you down).
  7. I really don't understand why so many people are happy about Manaan SH option. There is no water or underwater mechanics in SWTOR. It's not GW2 when you can actutally swim in the water on the surface and also dive underwater freely. In SWTOR you just die. So its better to have shallow water you can walk into and some islands you can access possibly by bridges. You won't have such things on Manaan which is all deep water. All you can get is building with window view, I call it terribly boring. Especially in comparison to possiblities if it turns out to be in fact Rishi SH. We will see.
  8. The ocean on Manaan is unaccessable, you just see it throuh windows or in a distance. The buildings look like a sterile laboratory. I don't like Maanan stronghold at all. What I would like is stronghold on Rishi with that feeling of tropical island / pirate / freedom / beach / birds / sun etc. Another good looking planet was Makeb, but due to lore its not an opition. Or we could just get Odessen how about that? This planet should be expanded!
  9. Too bad the ending is not SOLO :/ Though I wonder if I could do it solo now when my character is 70 lvl?
  10. Is it just me not understanding something or... At character creation there is a note: legacy unlock species requires character and legacy at level 10. In Legacy section the infomation is the character must reach level 50. So the information on character creation is wrong?
  11. As I understand all the information , the Operation is related to the story and it is nice if you do it, but you don't have to do it. Solo story is supposed to progress anyway, you just have to wait until next updates.
  12. My list: WHAT IS GOOD : - Story. Always could be better, some things are forced, but there is a piece od fresh story and overall I like it. I had the impression of abrupt end of the story, but I was already told that more is coming, so OK. Let's just hope we won't have to wait long. -Humor, funny moments. Boo, Theron - Some difficulty sometimes. My warrior even died once! That's a good thing to make the player think what he is doing not just blindly swoop into group of foes ;> those Sith hit hard (yes, my SW sided with Republic) - Some tactics in battles you have to figure out, but nothing that would make you try ten times - My male SW would count "reunion" with Quinn as satisfactory. He made him beg ;> - I saw videos that Elara ends romance if the troopers were not behaving, thats good but a little scary. But it is GOOD. Keep that approach that our actions do matter. - I did not encounter progress-blocking bugs. - The walkthrough is nicely explained: mission to find consoles, letter from Theron about access to fleet when you swich sides. WHAT IS BAD: - Story weak points. Please do not make my character say "I love you" without my choice to do so. No introduction of new companions to characters that do not know them from the past. Again we have forced alliance with stupid Scions. Pretty obvious by now after internet feedback that the traitor is Scion, and this means that once again we are forced to work with someone we know can't be trusted a bit. That was the case with Senya, SCORPIO - we knew they are going to be trouble but we just couldn't tell them to get lost :/ - There are minor bugs. Companion keeps being sent away or switched. Companions tend to wander away during battle to fight other foe. My SW teamed with Republic, once the map showed him way to go on Imperial tram, which was inactive, while Republic tram was the right way (at the point when you are asked to go do the Operation). My first character who was doing Iokath got stuck in the remote droid form in this mission when you are carring spheres, but today for my second character this was fixed. - Reputation cap for a week is reached before the end of story. - Reputation rewards are crap. Maybe add something else? - Nothing interesting to do for me on Iokath once the story is over. - Elara won't say anything to my SW when clicked (not eligible for this conversation).
  13. Well actually I'm afraid this can mean that in next update the other leader also dies, just in different circumstances. So no matter whether you tried to help someone or kill someone, both will end up dead - just to force the same galaxy state on all of us. As it is now half of characters would live in galaxy where Acina rules the Sith Empire, the other half would live in galaxy where Sith Empire is in chaos. That would be interesting, but at this point I really doubt they would deliver so much content (2 different galaxies). They didn't have resources to properly introduce two returning companions to those characters who never met them before.
  14. I am also confused, the story was progressing, some disturbing discoveries were made... and suddenly STOP all you can do is operation - I do not do operations - aaaaand what else? O_o What about the mysterious traitor? Can I do anything SOLO about the superweapon NOT doing group content? The returnng companions... not even one mission together? Something to make Malavai useful for my SI? I don't know that guy, he should work with me to prove himself... Was he really introduced just to say "hey, Acina is calling"?
  15. The Alliance base remains the same from its modest beginnings. It seems resonable that while the numbers of Alliance supporters increase, the base should expand. But we see no airports, no training grounds, no settlements, no mines, no crop fields, nothing. These could be places for new quests. But we have same 4 undeground rooms all the time. Moreover, the Odessen planet is supposed to be a special place, with large Force activity. So we could find some ancient temples... make some discoveries... Also Force-themed findings on the planet might interest the whole group of Jedi/Sith companions that are missing. We have the whole planet to explore and we sit in 1 camp all the time.
  16. Well some things have to take some time, but... Nobody set this date for you. You chose that date, Bioware... Bioware first said the patch will be at the beginning of April OR latest days of March. Then they said the patch will be on Aptril 11th - its not beginning of the month, rather closer to its half. Anyway, they stick to this schedule until last hours. There was livestream and they still mentioned nothing about possible delay. I resubbed just to prepare a little few days ago. They posted tweets counting the days left until patch... And now they say there is delay for another week? This is just rude how they openly, deliberately missled me - and probably many other players. If the problem is serious, they must have known about it for a long time, but kept posting false information. And that's not fair. And I know Mr Eric Musco who posts here is not coding the game, but am I to believe he didn't know anything, when he was posting UNTIL LAST HOURS that everything is fine?
  17. Hi. Nice post. But listen, you won't get the same deep story in MMO as in single player RPG. I also prefer playing solo. I'm story-focused. But as much as I like games like Dragon Age, I can only play them once... I always make the choices I feel are the best so what is the point of repeating the game. SWTOR managed to keep me for months, I made few characters (3 that I'm actually interested in) and while I'm waiting for new story content there are these "minigames" to pass the time - heroic missions to get some loot, decorating stronhold etc. So as MMO it gives me something I wouldn't have in one-player RPG: the game is constantly expanding and the are always some activities available. But the storytelling could be better, yes. But how would you fit entire universe to ideas of thousands of players? You can't. You create basic frame in which everybody can fit somehow. I still get loading screen "Interlude" that says that Darth Marr is doing something, that's irritating, the developers surely could be more careful with such details...
  18. Why would you have to choose? You can play expansions on each character independently. Also You don't have to complete all expansions in the order they were released, for example I left undone Rise of the Hutt Cartel on one of my characters and now after ending KOTET it seems still available. Of course this causes some funny situations when suddenly You meet someone who is dead...
  19. +1 Companions should be made interesting again. Not just standing there... And they waste time to create another companions You can buy, but hey still do nothing, empty shells. Companions should be designed for some interaction like in original story [or even more].
  20. I hated Consular story. I've played Sith Inqusitor first and probably I couldn't choose better, the story was great. People say Imperial Agent (haven't played) is interesting but I like Force users. As to the SW, play next chapters (SoR), especially Ziost story and evertything your SW based his life on will crumble. This is very interesting moment for SW.
  21. 1. There should be a tool to end current romance. Probably some of us romance Lana simply because there was nothing else to do. But it's getting boring. 2. There sholud be opportunity to start romance with original LI for your class if you missed it in the original strory. Some companion quests would fit even after KOTET. This is content that is locked form you and there nothing else to do, so why not simply unlock it? 3. There should be second chance for not completed or ruined romance. For example my SW did not marry Vette. But >=5 years have past! She came back. She had some great moments in KOTFE/KOTET. Why can't he try romance her AGAIN? 4. Why not make all / some / most of available companions-LI romanceable for any character in KOTFE/KOTET and beyond? Again, some companion quests would be OK even now. This is content that already exists, but you cannot play it. 5. I hope for interesting reunion chapters for missing LIs.
  22. My main character is SI. I also played SW and quite enjoyed it. But JC was a pain.... Recently I managed to level JK, but the fun was after I went past 50 lvl. Well, third chapter was nice too. But back to the issue. I've played Imp side first and the troops I met were always showing intitiative. They wanted my help, but they already had plan, they were skilled, they were not begging to rescue them but to give them some extra firepower. All Imps were working hard, trying their best, they were motivated etc. They were inteligent and they got the job done. I honeslty don't see how this bunch of losers a.k.a. Republic could resist Empire for so long. If not for the Jedi PC those guys would trip over their own two feet. There is a very different feeling playing the Republic than playing the Empire. Empire FTW! And its funny how next chapters after 3rd make You hate Republic even more. Ironic, because this is that GOOD system, LIGHT side... They are just corrupted morons And even in KOTET its the Sith Empire that would rather help You, but the Republic.. see for yourself...
  23. I'm starting to enjoy this. Internal troll activated. Anyway. Even if the game is dying, I want Ashara Zavros back so my SI and Ashara can die together.
  24. Phew, don't worry too much. SI has right to be angry with Ashara and she is the one who needs to explain herself. 1) they were not married (unlike many other couples), because Ashara said she needs permission from Jedi Council - this is just excuse as Jedi Knight gets married without it 2) she didn't try to save SI or find him even though she DID NOT felt his death, which she states in the one letter she sent before disappearing. My SI is waiting for this reuninon with Ashara, I just hope it will be properly done, not just "Oh hi, I'm back, missed me?"
