  1. Just encountered this bug myself. Same as everyone else it seems. Reset is tomorrow, so I will check after, but if not, hopefully this gets fixed soon.
  2. Simply put, from a Jedi Knight's perspective, the gear appearance for leveling is out of order. I've brought up how terrible it was that my Knight was getting gear that looked like it belonged to either Smuggler or Trooper. While this has been somewhat addressed with the gear you're getting actually looking like Jedi Knight gear again, now they are out of order. Sets from Tython to Tattooine are the way they should, but then you reach Alderann, and instead of getting the Decorated Pummeler/ Bulwark appearance, they skip it all together and give you the Toxic Pummeler appearance when it's supposed to be the Alderann set. It then goes to Toxic Bulwark for Balmorra, skipping the Battle-Scarred Pummeler/ Bulwark set too I guess. Hoth is fine, but no option to pick between Pummeler or Bulwark design, which goes for all of them now. Meaning you can't get the Visionary Bulwark set appearance anymore, which is imo the best looking set for Jedi Knight leveling. Belsavis is fine, then Voss has the Crystalline Bulwark set... Ok so 1. What? and 2. Why? Finally Corellia is fine, but no option to wear the Bulwark look instead of Pummeler though. Simply put, this is just annoying, especially since no one even asked for these changes. The stats are the exact same and you're using the same models regardless, so I ask again. What's the point in these replacements? Please address this before launch. You already have the armor models so just have them how they're supposed to, and let us choose the between the tank look or dps look again. If anyone else has noticed any of the other class' set designs out of order for the others, feel free to post here to this can hopefully bring attention to this issue. Thank you.
  3. Well, seeing as how PTS ended yesterday, it looks we're either not going to get a response to our concerns with the cosmetics and stats of the leveling gear. This is both disappointing and frustrating. I mean could we have not gotten some form of communication on this front?
  4. What's truly annoying about this is as I mentioned previously, there's not even a statistical difference. Other than level requirements, the gear I've seen thus far has no statistical difference. Which makes these replacement sets and items pointless. You know the lv 7 Lightsaber everyone's complaining about? The stats are + 5 Mastery, + 5 Endurance, + 2 Power, and + 2 Crit if your dps. Sound familiar? That's because it's the SAME stats as the Apprentice Force-Lord's Practice Blade... which has... + 5 Mastery, + 5 Endurance, + 2 Power, and + 2 Crit... It's the same with the chest you get on the next quest, Tythonian Battle Jacket: + 5 Mastery, + 5 Endurance, + 2 Power, + 2 Crit. Apprentice Pummeler's Chestguard MK-1: + 5 Mastery, + 5 Endurance, + 2 Power, + 2 Crit. So again, same stats, except now I'll no longer like a Jedi, but a Smuggler. Why? And it continues from here. Don't believe me? Look for yourself in the PTS, and compare it to the live items which swtor.jedipedia.net will all have on there. Or even look on live to see the items if you want. Bottom line, this change at best redundant, and at worst completely pointless. Still have not seen word on this being addressed. The items are all already adaptive anyways, so you don't even need to account for armor differences! Don't fix what isn't broken, keep these items in the game please. Please and thank you.
  5. I agree with the sentiment. I don't see why we needed new armor in the first place for leveling before the new stuff takes place, you already have it programmed to where it changes what items you're rewarded when you swap combat styles, so why replace what we have? I even checked stats and see if there's a difference. The answer? Nope, no difference whatsoever. So... what's the point? At that point it's just change for the sake of change, not to mention redundant. At the very least make it so the force users aren't wearing the same thing as the tech users? It's kind of immersion breaking when my Jedi Guardian is either wearing the armor of a Trooper or a Smuggler, instead of... oh I don't know. A Jedi Guardian or Sentinel? Same thing for when my Warrior looks like he's from imperial intelligence...
  6. Well it looks like my prayers will be somewhat answered. Tionese, Columi, and Rakata will all be making a return to the game! The powertechs version is basically this armor, barring the helmet. But I can live with a similar substitute until we see the helmet make an appearance. Thanks to all who've looked over the thread and or commented.
  7. I also want to throw in my two cents in the itemization changes, and what I agree with and disagree with relating this topic. One of the main complaints I am seeing with this topic, is how people cannot "play your way", in regards to content with the implementation with the gearing changes, so to be fair let's look at these 1 by 1. PvP : Not much to be said here, I agree that the PvP gear, if it's going to be it's own method of gearing, should definitely not be capped lower than the high-end PvP gear, as seeing as how the high-end gear will be custom for PvE at least, this will create a balance between people who only do pvp on the side and have Nim level gear, or possibly even HM level gear (depending on whether any of that will be custom or not, but still), and people who are hardcore PvPers and want to primarily focus on such. At the same time though, there should be some difference, which I'd vote for the return of expertise, this would give PvPers an advantage over Nim level players for thier respective content, and you can still balance the stat allocations for the PvP gear to not carry you through high-end Op content. Story/ Conquest : This is where I highly disagree with the community as to what has been said thus far. Many people are complaining that they cannot receive the highest end of gear through doing whatever you want. I take issue with this, as so far whenever this has been stated, it's in regards mainly to Story and Conquest. So you believe that you should receive the highest grade of gear, the gear that people are striving for the most, for some people, the main reason as the why they have decided to get in to participating in end game content, by defeating Darth Malgus on Solo mode? By farming mats and crafting? By killing X amount of enemies on Section X? Or the most well known from the begining of 6.0, farming Hammer Station, Veteran Mode or otherwise? Let me ask you this then, what makes the gear special anymore at that point, or the power that it gives? What makes you feel special, from the guy next to you, who only logs on from now and then, then unsubs until the next piece of story content comes out? Nothing. You know why? Because that gear you have obtained has effectively lost what made it special. As a great villain once said: "Everyone can be super! And when everyone's super, (evil laugh) no one will be." - Syndrome It's like applying a cheat code to video game to have your character be the highest level and the best gear. You'll certainly feel your adrenaline pumping from excitement for the first day or so, but eventually it will then quickly begin to lose the satisfaction. Why? Because it took nothing to get where you are now. Getting gear should feel satisfying and well earned. Gear should feel as exciting as it is, because of the challenges you have to face to proclaim such grandeur. The whole reason why sets such as Rakata, Dread Guard, Dread Master, or Revanite were sought after in the first place, was because of hardships you had to endure to obtain these sets. In 6.0 I saw people in full 306, still the highest rated gear, in the first week. I soon followed within the next. It felt like I had nothing to look forward to from doing the higher difficulties other than the occasional mount, maybe some titles, and bragging rights. To me, asking that everyone under the moon having access to the highest gear possible, with having to do very little work for it, just seems self-centered when you consider conquest gear can go up to 338 currently on PTS if you work for it. That should be plenty you need to get you to handle your story and conquest, as well as enough to transition into some group content if you decide that's the route you want to take. If you want to continue to claim that 6.0 is their best iteration of gearing, or that how gearing is going to be handled is not to your preference, go ahead. Do your thing. But don't blindly go putting development down for wanting to try to improve the gearing and social experience with what they're attempting to do. No one's immune to criticism, but try to be objective with it. If there's something I'm missing, feel free to reply. That is all I currently have to say on this topic, have a nice day.
  8. Speaking as someone who likes to hunt for achievements, will the Set Bonus that currently resides in live still be in some way shape available to collect in order to complete the gear collection achievements?
  9. My apologies, I tried checking and making sure this wasn't covered, but I guess I missed it. If this is a PTS thing, then that's fine. Still perplexing why it's happening, but fine.
  10. I'm on my Juggernaut on PTS, and every speeder I've tried has been unaffected by the speeder piloting boost. In fact it's going at the speed you'd be going if you turned sprint off. So the speeders are going even slower than you are, making it so there's no point of being on any form of vehicle other than cosmetics. I don't know if there are any mounts unaffected by this, as I don't have all the mounts in the game to test this on, but I can at least say that every mount I own, as well as every mount I could purchase from the fleet, didn't go at the speed they should. Please address this before launch.
  11. As the title suggest, the armor I'd like to make a request for is the outfit worn by the Hired Bounty Hunter, a champion level mob that resides within Karagga's Palace. This armor I feel really fits as both a Bounty Hunter set, as well as a Mandalorian set. I especially like the Helmet in particular. While there are similar helmets currently in-game, this helmet as some particular details that I feel brings it to life over those other helmets. Such as the plated sides that look to seem have scratches and aging in the metal that makes it look weathered and shows as if your hunter has seen some battles. As well as some added detail with some red on top of the helmet with yellow stripes. Finally rending it off with some red eyes to add the face's intimidation factor. I have posted some screenshot examples below, as well as a link to the source of where I as able to take said screen shots from, for those that'd like take a closer look for themselves. I'd very much appreciate any support this thread could receive to bring some attention from Development. Good Hunting. 12. Battle-worn versions of old Tionese (ish?) gear, taking them and taking inspiration from the "Revan Reborn" armor. Adding either dents or scratches to armor and plating, rips and tears in armor, and singed areas where applicable. (Ex: A busted gauntlet for BH's where the Flamethrower would be.) I'll provide 2 examples (1 Force and 1 Tech) of the sets and "Revan Reborn" concept art along with notes can be taken for each in terms of details. Feel free to tell me your thoughts on the suggestion. 13. I’ll agree that if you did obtain these sets when they were still around, that deserves to be acknowledged, if nothing else. However, they can adjust the actual sets specific designs when released for the CM, by going a different direction with battle-worn versions of the original sets instead, applying similar concepts from the “Revan Reborn” set. It’d look, similar, but it’d different enough to where it can stand out on its own from the original, with details ranging from scuffs and dents on the armor and platings, to rips and tears on the robes and cloth, and maybe one of the hunter’s gauntlets be busted and singed from usage of the flamethrower. I’m sorry you did not agree, but I appreciate the comment nonetheless.
  14. We currently only have the Restored Smuggler Set, and although we were supposedly meant to get a Bounty Hunter, Trooper, and Agent version as well... only the smuggler one actually showed the light of day. If we can’t get all of these sets, then I would personally at least like to see the sets that have yet to see a re-skin, mainly the Powertech’s, Jedi Guardian’s, and maybe Sith Assassin’s (?) Rakata armor designs. The only technical re-skin for the Jedi Guardian one, is Nadia Grell’s armor, and that one can’t even be worn by Jedi Knights, since she’s a Consular companion. The Sith Assassin one is debatable, since they have a Tionese re-skin, and not a Rakata re-skin, so you could make an argument that this one doesn’t need another. The Powertechs though, have literally no re-skins for their version, literally the only piece that has been replicated from that set yet, was the helmet in the Savage Hunter Helmet. You could release the the Resilient Templar Armor set that was planned for Tier 5 command, and just release that as a CM armor set for your guardian template. And if you didn’t want to completely copy paste the Rakata Powerech armor, the 2nd armor set for the powertech in the armor progression trailer would work well, since that armor is the same design concept, barring the helmet, which we can just use the savage hunter one instead if people wanted.
