  1. Ah, that makes sense and great to know going forward. Thank you for responding and keeping us informed of the process behind the curtain. I appreciate you and the team working so hard to keep the game fun and handle the unexpected hiccups that inevitably arise with complex software. As much gnashing of teeth that happens on forums/social media over minor issues, I'm sure it's most frustrating for the internal team. I'm sure I speak for the the vast majority of players when I say we appreciate the efforts to resolve them. Thanks!
  2. Did this start early or is my timezone conversion off? It's 8:20AM EDT (which is 5:20AM PDT) and the servers are down for me. Wanted to check a couple market items before heading out for the day...
  3. Thanks, Zabeep! Here's mine: http://www.swtor.com/user/ce/3aubcu
  4. Did the Rakghoul Event on Tatooine get caught in this scheduling issue as well? Will it be rescheduled?
  5. I believe it is because a guild only has the @<Old Shard Name> appended if there were name collisions. So, those you see with the old shard names had a duplicate name in the merge (likely large guilds have a presence on multiple servers and use the same name). Those that were still unique names don't. My guild was on Shadowlands and does not have @Shadowlands appended, FYI. We're also certainly not on any conquest leader boards though.
  6. Ordered, applied, and worked as described. Thanks for the head up, OP!
  7. Does this work if you are already a recurring subscriber? Does it simply add game time on to your current next billing date? Or does this only work if you are going from non-sub to sub?
  8. Working off memory, the starting contact is Yindo on the Gav Daragon (accessed via QT or interfleet transport on Fleet). Go to the mission deck. He should send you to talk to Chief RAnnos in a phased area, which starts the FP.
  9. Thanks so much for the advice. It sounds like it is possible, but will be tough and I need to get cracking on FPs/Ops. My Shadow has mostly 216 tank gear, 208 DPS, but no augments added. I probably need to figure that out too. Actually, Dragonslayer IS the Ops boss achievement (and afaik, the only Ops related one in DvL). I've never done a single Operation before so sounds like I need to do that too. The bosses that you need to defeat and their locations are as follows: Karagga the Unyielding in Karagga’s Palace Operator IX in Terror From Beyond Sparky in Ravagers Gate Commander Draxus in Dread Fortress Titan 6 in Scum and Villainy
  10. I'm not a new player, but certainly not a veteran. I had leveled 2 characters to max level, mostly through soloing, when the DvL event started. When I first saw the event, I thought there was no way I would get Legendary because of the need for 8 level 50s and all crafting skills so I didn't even explore the others. Now that I've completed Eternal, have the full set of XP armor, double XP is going on, and the XP boost rewards are 3 hours vs 1, I'm rethinking that assumption. I'm pretty sure I can accomplish those 2 objectives in the next month with some dedicated effort. So, now I need some feedback on the rest. Here are the ones I don't have that may prove difficult: The obvious big one is the HM FPs. I've NEVER done a HM before, though I do think I have the skill and gear to get through most with guidance. I do not have a guild that has done these, and pugging seems to have mixed results on the forums. Even if these are a big NO from the community, I may still try the rest for personal pride. Infect 5 players with plague. I don't know how to infect other players, but assume it's easy if the event returns in Nov. I don't see it listed on any schedules yet. Giant Killer/Dragon Slayer - How hard is it to find groups for these? How hard are they with the right group? Eternal Champ - I made it through round 7 previously. I'm assuming I can finish off the final 3 with some luck, dedication, and guidance. 50 kills with HK-51 - The kills are easy, but I don't know how to get HK-51 as a companion. Is he easy to unlock? Thanks for any guidance on if and how these are attainable in the next month.
  11. I'm doing the same with a static group of 4. That is the realistic max as an Ops group has too many downsides for a weekly group. Here is our plan: Power through the class quests on the starting planet solo/duo. We are doing 1 of each class, but you could obviously group up if you're all on the same starting planet. This also gets everyone their first companion. Starting at this point on Fleet, we plan to exclusively team together only on these alts. Solo play would only be to catch up if a member misses a session or on alts. While staying at the same level is not really necessary, it helps with swapping gear drops and balancing power. Do first FP (Esselles/Black Talon) as a team to get to 2nd planet. Do class stories ONLY on the 2nd planet (Cor/DK) to get our ships. We will probably do Planet/Side/Heroics here too, but these are optional. Once we all have our ship, we will cease doing Class Story completely. Instead, we will focus on Planet Arcs and Heroics, mixing in side/explorable missions. This is because we can all get and share progress on these missions. Move through planets as they are level appropriate. With the current leveling curve, we expect to typically be over level for multiple planets as we finish them, especially with Double Xp, boosts, etc. If teaming together with a static group is your main objective, try the above. You can even organize Crew Skills to gear each other if you wanted. The downside is that you'll only have the first combat companion (plus ship comp), but that seems to be a minor inconvenience.
  12. I'm assuming that if the OP just got to the fleet, they likely do not have their ship yet. What (purple) class mission are you on? If it's on Tython or Ord Mantell, then you'll need to take the west elevator from Carrick to the shuttles for those planets. If you're on Coruscant, then it's the south elevator. It should be highlighted in purple on your map, but that may be bugged.
  13. I'm really enjoying the game and the DvL event guiding me on specific things to work on in such a content rich game. I am now going for the "Champion" level, but it contains some aspects that require some grouping so I wanted to get some advice ahead of time. As a reminder, Champion requires: Ch XVI of KotFE - Easy to solo. I've done through IX for previous level already Valor 5 - PvP/Warzones Alliance Alerts - Which seem to require even more PvP FPs, some of which do not have a solo mode The PvP and FPs will require a team so what are the expectations for most players for Unranked Warzones and Tactical FPs? My current high level DvL is a Jedi Shadow with both and Tank and DPS build. For Tank, I have mostly 190 gear, with a few pieces of 216 and 208 from the Crystals I've gotten through KotFE. For DPS, I have almost all 208. I'd like to tank, but understand folks may have higher expectations and I may not know what to do for content I've never seen before. In summary, any advice before I dive into some of the team based content for the first time?
  14. I had just come to report this exact issue (and I see it periodically in threads before this). Balmorra: Bonus Series 2 will not advance. After completing the initial step, there are 2 tasks listed: +Complete "Nowhere to Run" for Sergeant Jojames +Complete "The Neutralizer" for Major Garik However, prior to obtaining this mission, I had already completed "Nowhere to Run" for Sergeant Jojames and he will not talk to me again. I went ahead and completed Major Garik, but now there is no task listed in the task list (just the orange title) and my mission log shows both grayed out, but does not advance. I've reset the mission, but now neither will talk to me (because I've already done their missions) and it still will not advance. Note that both of them have a mission marker on the map, but not in person and neither will talk to you, they just give an in game response referring to the fact that you've already done their missions. To reproduce: Do explorable missions for Sergeant Jojames. Pick up Balmorra Bonus Series 2. Progress that mission as far as possible Stuck Ideally, the Bonus mission should recognize that you've already completed the mission and advance, but, failing that, Jojames should not talk to you unless you have the Bonus Series 2 mission.
