  1. Lammia!!! Long time no see! I'm glad there's someone else who thinks like me :D

I'm currently levelling a (nother) Sith Inq on my main server (DM) in the hope that the Devs cave to our "demands" and make Rivix a permanent companion and love interest. I have another sitting dormant at level 75 on SF waiting the same.

I think I need to update my signature...

I'm clinging to hope that he's a Force user boy to love they sort-of promised. Arcann isn't an option for many (and for those he is, there is no reason not to add more choices), so can't be fully counted, Arn is Pub side, so Imp side should get one too.

I finished bringing up to date a girl for him yesterday.

I lost hope to ever see Malavai, so at least I'd like someone new to be happy to see in game, and this one stole my heart for a number of reasons.:D I really hope he's going to become a comp and I can hang out with him.

  2. I absolutely agree on this. just because some of my character have the romance with the vanilla companions, but I imagine that even the trooper and the BH have a good choice with Theron. the only thing that I am a bit concerned is with the characters that go FULLY DS..... would there be a problem? 🤔

I have Theron with my DS Inq, and it's fine. I am kind of under the impression that Theron gets darker when with a DS char, but not sure if it's just me, or his reactions are really adapted to it.

But it doesn't feel forced or cause trouble, no.

  3. Surely I can't be the only one who thinks Darth Rivix is a really interesting character? Even if he would murder you in your sleep, this is definitely someone my dark Sith Lords want on their team romanceable or not (however, romanceable please)!

So, bring your love for Rivix!

You're definitely not the only one.:D

I've been impatiently waiting for Rivix to make another appearance (beyond letters) for over a year now! The news pumped me so much that I resubbed and bring his future wife up to speed with the story ;)

Has he even been around long enough to hate or like jesus lol :p

For me personally it took as long as to see him walk downstairs and open his mouth. YMMV;)

  4. The first forced companions were in "vanilla" content. Examples (not a complete list):

    * T7 when the JK goes to a spoilerish planet to do a spoilerish thing to a spoilerish person.

    * Yuun then Tanno Vik in the Gauntlet.

    * Talos Drellik during half of the SI's misadventures on Hoth.

    * Khem Val at the end of Chapter 1 of the SI story.

And of course in story terms, certain companion forcing in KotFE is of the "this person is your only companion anyway" type. (All of Chapter III, for example.)

Yeah, but those were once in a while and for a short time. For most of the story, you could drag with you whoever you liked. The *entirety* of KOTFE/KOTET is "this one chosen by us, and no one else".

  5. Anyone know if there are training dummy decorations I can put in my Rishi SH?

There is a room in the ship part (that has to be unlocked first, IIRC), with a small droid in it and a clickable terminal. The droid sells all the dummy items, and the terminal brings the dummy up (the dummy doesn't just stand there there, if it's not active).

You can choose to call PvP or Operations or Healing dummy at the terminal.

  6. Until someone invents a recording program that I can turn on with the click of a switch and it loads instantly, then the best I can hope for is a screen shot or using my iPhone, which I’ve done before to record a hacker, but it’s poor quality (still got an interesting recording of a guy phasing though walls).

If this sort of stuff happened every game, then I would just sit back and record that one match. I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve seen this particular thing.

Bandicam. It records your screen, nothing to do with internet. However, it's a shareware, so you can record -- I think -- about 10 mins in the free version. I don't know if there is a limit on how many 10-min films you can record.

  7. I LOLd :D

Me neither; my objectivity failed to put Quinn and her together. I'd can see Quinn with Vette though (and you all know how much I hate Vette) but not Quinn and Lana. Strange.

Lammia - I really like the silhouette you did called the three:

If I could afford it I'd commission a silhouette like that of Quinn, Theron and Jorgan - they're my favourite "three"

It took me forever to figure out how to make these. There were a few attempts throughout years when I wanted to make such profiles of several groups of characters, until I finally settled for this way. :)

And yeah, I remember that pairing (or three-ing, rather) with Beniko, because it just simply doesn't seem to click for me at all. I don't see her accepting him or him her.

Lovely, all of them. And more piling on the love for the Twitter one - that is how I imagine my Sage's antics play out.

    Thanks for sharing them. :)

    Thanks :)

  8. Yeah, that's the thing! Maybe kink is the wrong word.. I'm just tired of trying to decide who I love the most, how tedious. Why I can't I just love both? In fiction at least, because real life tends to be a little too, oh what's the right word -

Yup, this. RL is RL, but in fiction, especially my own fanfiction, I can love everybody and they can love all each other. :D Why choose? :D

Especially with forced breakups in SWTOR, one -- if needed - can headcanon that it turned into a polyamorous relationship, if it isn't out of character. And even if it is, so what. I've seen people pairing Quinn into a 3 with Beniko. I don't see it, but who am I to poop on someone's fantasies. If they can't choose, I won't tell them they should.

  9. I've been considering the idea of trying to get swtor to work on ubuntu with Wine. but i've read that any drm's tend to make it difficult for emulators to work correctly. If i know i can get it to work on Ubuntu, then i have no reason to keep with windows.

it does seem a bit heretical playing a windows game on Linux, especially one like SWTOR but i've been exploring this idea for a month. i mean i got everything else i want working, but i haven't found many examples of it working on Linux.

I played SWTOR on Linux for years, from when fixme.exe was still needed. On PCLinuxOS and on Ubuntu, both 32-bit.

I couldn't make it run on PCLinuxOS 64-bit, though. Since I have dual boot with Windows since December, I stopped trying to find a solution.

In all my years playing it on Lin, and all kinds of problems I read people having or I had, DRM is something I never heard of in the context of SWTOR on Linux.

  10. Those are awesome, really beautiful work! And though I love Quinn, the Marr and Vowrawn art was especially wonderful. I hope the state of the game won't keep you away forever, but I hope you have fun where ever you go to find it. Take care! Quinnmancy forever! <3

    Thank you :)

I hope when a good chunk of new content drops, I'll resub. If nothing else, to check it out. :)

You have really diversified your style! So much to love! Love the Chibi. Love the silhouette. Love the sleeping Quinn.

Are you going f2p or taking a break? I tried to go f2p, but I like talking on the forums too much :o

    Thanks :)

A break. I barely logged in for months, and have little drive to play. No sense in paying, if I don't log in.

  11. I unsubbed but before I can't post on the forum any more, I'll dump at ya my Malavai doodles (I don't remember which I shared, so some of those are probably posted here again, forgive my poor memory)

  12. I remember those arguments.

Not that I'm still bitter or anything...but I remember with the Lana romance when a glitch occurred and they gave players the option after Nathema with the Droid to correct the romance which was an awesome thing for them to do, but some Theron romancers in Nathema also experienced a glitch where the romance was lost (ok maybe I am still bitter about it) and we didn't get any droid to fix the issue for us. Still makes me so angry that Lana gets a fix for her romance glitch but Theron never got one for his romance glitch and I don't understand why not?

Don't even get me started. Customisation of Malavai on Iokath still broken. Almost 2 years now. Same with Raina Temple in the FP where she returns. Still broken. Beniko customisation broken in another FP? Was fixed within 2 weeks.

  13. Definitely agree with this! Koth stood up to our characters rather than meekly accepting every evil action, he acted like the main character of his own story rather than immediately and unrealistically falling into a subservient supporting role for our special snowflake protagonist, and he’s implied to have a romantic history wirh the #1 dudebro wife. He threatens their machismo because of these things and therefore had to die. 🙄

In fact, I remember someone started a new thread, raging that their Lana cheated on their character during their carbonite time.

  14. You know, guys, I call BS on "Lana never did anything to piss off the PC or deserve to die". She did. I am aware this is open to interpretation, but isn't everything?

She left us for dead. After we kill Arcann (so think we did) in chapter 16 KOTFE, she gets on the escape shuttle with the others, leaves, and when PC tells her to wait, she says "You won't make it. We leave. Find your own way back." My Inquisitor killed people for less than that. She leaves you behind on an exploding ship! That should tick off quite a few characters, but PC doesn't even have an option to yell at her after returning to Odessen, let alone punish her (kick her out, kill, punch in that red nose).

I'd say what she did qualifies as a kill option a lot more than what Theron did.

  15. This worried me a bit - from the patch notes:

I can't leave Theron to die - not even on my dark siths - I did watch the youtube to test my own theory on what happens. I had hoped Theron being left for dead (since we don't see him actually die) meant he'd be saved and appear in any future story (6.0) for everyone. Unless Eric's patch notes are a slip up, it seems Theron will end up a "no-be" like the other companions who had an actual kill option. Thoughts?

I honestly never thought that "left for dead" meant anything else than dead. I understand why people came up with the idea that he was saved, but I think it's hope and fear of losing him, like all other "dead" comps. I guess I'm just too bitter at this point to believe it means any of that. I always assumed Theron is gone for good.

Like other people, my interest in the game without my favourites is disappearing. For the first time since I started playing I'm considering dropping my sub. I would already do it, but I like doing Operations with my friends, and this requires a sub. But I have no interest in "Lana Beniko Show" at all. I'm not here for Star Wars either, but for a good, interesting story populated by interesting characters, so if the story in 6.0 doesn't come with something to keep me, I'm gone.

  16. What do you guys think ?

There was a lot of speculation on the internet about what will happen to this game and this game if Anthem is not a success.....

By looking at videos that reflect honest impressions and not some payed hype propaganda... things aren't looking very promising for that game.

I don't know what videos you looked at, but my Twitter timeline is filled with people playing the demo this weekend, and I probably would have a hard time to find one who doesn't like it. Even some sceptical friends love it after trying it out. And all that keeping in mind that there were rough moments for many due to bugs and glitches.

Not that my own friends are a representative sample, but they are regular gamers, and those are people who fork money for it. Many already pre-ordered.
