I started playing this game because I am a huge fan of the first two KOTOR games. And for years I waited for a true sequel. When SWTOR was released I did not buy it because I do not like MMO's. Years passed and I still waited and hoped for a K3, but nothing happened. So two years ago when I purchased Dragon Age 2 and all of it's dlc, as well as all of the dlc for Inquisition I saw the SWTOR box art. It reminded me of the first KOTOR box art. Getting feelings of nostalgia I went against my better judgement and bought the game. I do not regret buying it.
Despite hating mmo's I can play this game like a single player game. My first character was a Sith Inquisitor that was a Sith Pureblood. I played off and on for a year got bored and unsubscribed never beating the storyline, even though it was good. Two years later I just returned my old character is still on Hoth, but I wanted to play as a Jedi. So I picked Jedi Knight and have been having a blast. I like revisiting old planets like Tattooine, Taris, and Korriban 300 years later. It also answers question like "What happened to Rukil and the rest of the Undercity dwellers who left in search of the Promised Land."
The planets are huge. Way bigger than in K1 and K2. I also like meeting Satele Shan a descendant of Bastila and Revan. Last but not least I enjoy having a plethora of races to pick from. My favorite non-human race is the Sith Purebloods. I had read up on them from the old EU lore. What I don't know is why do they only appear 300 years later? Were they hidden with the Sith Empire? Is the Emperor a Sith Pureblood? Well they are questions I hope to find an answer for since I never beat the game.
