  1. no they didn't. they announced that they would announce that a new warzone was coming out eventually in February.
  2. the other option is to have 1 server each for west coast, east coast, and europe, but then have the option to switch between them whenever you wanted and also choose what type of instance you want to join (pvp, rp, etc). some people wouldnt like that but i think its the best overall solution, assuming its technically possible.
  3. So the months have come, any news? Or did the money in the budget for this go to playable HK-55 instead?
  4. if the game had actual content coming out with regularity then people wouldn't be nearly as mad, but because there hasn't been any meaningful endgame PvE or PvP content in over a year (and near total silence from BW on the topic) then people are going to be pissed off about it. you may still find justification to subscribe throughout this period and consider it to be worth it to you, but just from an objective standpoint when compared to other games SWTOR in 2016 is looking to be an absolutely terrible value proposition. As long as the only meaningful new content will be episodic releases of KOTFE, and thats the only thing we've been told about up to this point, then you are essentially paying $15 a month for a telltale adventure game with a little bit more depth. anyways, nobody is complaining about the existence of a sub rewards program. but from what we know about this particular rewards program so far it seems pretty lazy and anti consumer. I mean, HK-55, who is literally a reskin of another companion who is a reskin of a companion from kotor 1 in 2003, is ALREADY AVAILABLE TO YOU. As long as you dont go past a certain point in the story you can keep him forever and even gift him up to level 50 affection. In fact the more I think about it the more ridiculous this whole thing seems. and as for the "play as hk-55 chapter," putting story content that will take a significant amount of developer time and as such directly impacts the development of other aspects of the game behind an 8 month subscription paywall is just slimy. is it the most evil thing you could ever do? of course not, but it is absolutely anti consumer and BW deserves to be called out for it. but again, if the game had other stuff going for it in the future and/or the stream wasn't ridiculously overhyped the uproar over this wouldn't be nearly as loud.
  5. congrats you're a better person than the op because he expects more for his $15 than you do.
  6. i don't qualify him and there is definitely no obvious way of getting him atm.
  7. these rewards were not designed for people who were going to sub regardless. these rewards, particularly the playable HK-55 thing are designed to get people who were on the fence about subscribing due to a lack of content to stay on board through it so as not to lose their chance to play this content. this isn't bw being nice and giving everyone bonus stuff, this is their way of getting people to pay a sub without them having to release any actual content. you can defend this practice if you want, but don't fool yourself. this is bioware holding a piece of story content up at gunpoint and saying if you don't subscribe until next summer you're NEVER going to get to play this.
  8. its almost as if the community team is, and has been trying to tell us for years, that sorry but this game isn't for you anymore. at some point i think we need to look at ourselves and ask why we just didn't take the hint sooner?

  10. the kotfe story is exclusive to subscribers. i mean im not saying thats the only thing, i think a subscribers reward program is something they will probably announce as well, but karp's tweet in particular gives me the feeling that this isn't something like a raid or a FP announcement that a significant percentage of people won't care about. then again, i wouldn't be surprised if the big announcement is THE RETURN OF THE GREE
  11. If i had to guess the "big" announcement has very little to do with gameplay. i suspect thats its gonna be something like SWTOR is officially canon and the KOTFE story is somehow connected to Episode 7.
  12. sadly i can see this or something similar to this actually being the announcement.
  13. if they bring back a neutered version of the RAF program that doesn't let you get cartel coins from people who were already subs its gonna be pretty hilarious on the forums. On one hand it would be funny to see the amount of extreme butthurt from people who got their hundreds of dollars in free cartel coins a month but at the same time it would just show the sheer incompetence of Bioware for completely ignoring what has been common knowledge for like 2 years and only now realizing they should do something about it.
  14. yeah but they need their killing blow medal
  15. gunslinger: better burst dps sorc: better at everything else by a lot
  16. keep in mind that this is a game whose framerate will tank to sub 1 fps on even the most powerful computers in large scale open world pvp situations. The game is just broken and does a terrible job at taking advantage of modern hardware, which is why the vast majority of people see virtually no difference in performance between very low and very high settings, even when the game looks like a ps2 launch title on very low.
  17. the main premise of your thread is quite absurd. asserting that the "tank/healer meta" or anything else for that matter is being balanced around arenas is ridiculous, especially when you consider that such a combination isn't really any more effective than it was back before arenas even came out. i agree that having a good tank and a good healer on one team and only one or neither on the other is unbalanced, but that doesn't necessarily mean its broken. you can argue that nobody should expect tactics in regs but people shouldn't expect a complete lack of tactics either.
  18. / \ / \ / o \ /____\ illuminati slanted pyramid tactics?
  19. you can find those in appdata/local/swtor and back them up if you decide to reinstall
  20. unless you're a roleplayer, harbinger is the best server to play on regardless of what you want to do in the game and where you live in the world.
  21. i mean its been broken for like 2 years, i think at some point people got confused and just figured it was working as intended the whole time
  22. to be fair, the healer companions could easily keep u at 100% hp constantly even if u were just standing there pretty much all the way through leveling.
