  1. DUDE did you play MASS EFFECT? 1 2 or 3? That game had awesome cinematic trailers and cut scenes. They were able to hire awesome talent for all the Convos. Jennifer Hale comes to mind. (Fem shep) Also nothing happened to ILM as far as I know. If Bioware wanted they could have ILM render the videos or perhaps PIXAR did ya think of that? Disney owns PIXAR. Monsters Inc. looked pretty damb good to me so don't get your panties in a bunch and relax.
  2. My Companion deam team is my ALTS If I could I would like to have 3 companions out at once. I would play my Shadow Have my consular alt heal My Smuggy and Sentinal DPS. Though if I have to stick with current game setup I would Play my Assasin tank and use Ashara sentinal
  3. Why do folks automatically think flying mounts when people ask for atmospheric flight? What I want is the ability to actually pilot my ship from station to station and space port to space port mining asteroids and defending or attacking others on the way to and fro. I would also like the ability to fly right to the far areas of the desert on tatooine. Or be able to explore new planets and land anywhere that has an area big enough to land. Why cant I pilot my ship into Narshadaa and land my ship on any of the landing ports? I get the game wasn't designed that way but if they listened ideas like these would excite folks and if it was subscriber only the F2Prs would have more incentive to sub. If only they could mesh the space engine from StarCitizen with the ground game of TOR Ide be in heaven.

  5. Perhaps they figured out that they wanted the experience to be challenging in order to get faction points. The way to solve this is to allow lvl 50s to group with lower levels and then be dynamicly dropped to the average levels of the group and then be able to get the faction points.

I agree with you but I bet they don't let you turn off xp or turn it down is because of PVP deathmatches people would stay at lvl 49 for ever with the best gear for that level and just decimate everyone. Personally I think PVP is the best pre 50 anyway cause theres no expertise involved but that's another topic.

Back in my EQ days we used Main Tank (Warrior/Paladan) Off Tank (Paladan/Shadow Knight0 Buffer/Support/CC/Backup heals (Shaman/Druid/Enchanter) DPS Rouge/Wizard/Mage DPS Rouge/wizard/Mage Main Healer Cleric What was cool was there was 11 classes EDIT oops forgot Necromancers but they were only really used in raids Necros were loners anyway. Sooo there were 12 distinct classes. Now there were many many more buffs and stuff to manage. I would Love a TOR group like this Main Tank - Guardian/Juggy OffTank - Shadow/Vanguard - Assasin/Powertech DPS - Sentinal/maurader Agent/Smuggy DPS - Sage(dps spec) Sorc (dps spec) Agent/Smuggy Backup heals Buffer debuffer croud control (2 new New Advanced Classes) Main Heals Sage/Sorc (heal Spec) Edit 2 I would also like to see some group heals that don't require targeting at all just hit the heal and group is healed.
  8. If I was a primitive species and I saw a Jedi move a rock or water with his will I would think him a god. I would be wrong but my limited understanding of what really happened would lead me to think he was godly.
  9. Well if you had to make the choice and were accountable for cutting costs and that directly affected your bonus at the end of the year. Would you choose the cost to have retail boxes or a digital distribution? Remember they can use the older decommissioned servers to distribute the expansions.
  10. I hear ya bro. However if they make it any easier then the lifers (as I call them. You know the ones who don't work or are unemployed) will dominate everything and then they will start complaining that they have done everything. Then the devs will put in more time or money sinks. I really wish the game was a bit more like Evwequest now. Even though when I was playin it I did complain at how long it took to level. They at least had really good CARETS to keep me goin.
  11. I think Bioware knows how much credits people have and some how think the larger percentage have 2 million + credits and think they need to spend more. They are essentially raising the Interest rates to suck in all that extra money. Then at some future point the market will stabilize because folks don't have as much. Right now as someone who sells on the GTN I can put something up for 500k and know it will sell cause people are bleeding credits. I still think it sucks but then again be glad equipment doesn't have decay. If it did once it hit a certain amount of decay you wouldn't be able to repair it and would be forced to buy a new one...
  12. Riddle me this. Assuming we are talking about a PVE SERVER and not a PVE player who stupidly started on a PVP SERVER. Why would the DEVS create content that includes any PVP at all? Why is there ANY open world PVP areas on a PVE server? Just take away the OPEN PVP areas out. Give players the option to completely block ANY PVP from ever happening. Make it so if I even try to target a YELLOW enemy player the game wont let me. Make it so my AOE abilities wont even land on the flagged enemy player. Problem solved. This way those that want it can have it and those that don't do not. To those who are on PVE servers who say they like OPVP all the time and welcome this then I say to you goto a PVP server and play with other full time PVPrs. Don't take advantage of Developer mistakes.
  13. I agree the daily's are the best cash maker. However now that I am someone who might play 3 hours a week if that. Lately I haven't played at all been over 2 months now. If I do start again it will only be on Saturdays and only for a few hours. I have been watching the games development over the last 2 months and honestly I don't like what I am seeing. I guess I am just growing out of the game. This whole forced pvp issue with 1.7 concerns me. I remember when I used to play EQ 1 there never was ANY cross over with pvp it was completely separated. There was no way I knew of to pvp if you weren't on a pvp server. There was no way to auto flag because of some AoE exploit cause the enemy flagged player was invisible. Yeah EQ took a really long time to level up. There were days that all I did was kill sarnaks for 8 hours strait just to see my xp bar move 1 inch. Then again I think if TOR took at least 1 year to hit 50 and had enough repeatable and dynamic content to fill up that year this game would be doing a lot better. Bioware would have had a year to engineer new endgame operations and the SSSP. Most people right now would have just hit lvl 50 a couple months ago. All the operations would be fresh and new and the PTS could have been running the entire time refining the OPS. I dunno I think the whole getting level 50 in 3 weeks has ruined the game. Should be 6 months min if not a year of playing maybe 8 hours a week.
  14. Perhaps just perhaps Bioware should make one change to OPVP remove the expertise requirement. Make it so Expertise stat only works in Structured PVP. Warzones and such. When out in the open world you use regular armor. If there will be more event like this then lets put everyone on an equal footing. Of course if someone is in dreadguard armor and you only have columi then your still gonna get owned but at least better armor can be gotten in a PVE fashion. I still say this whole expertise stat was a mistake from the beginning.

  16. I have been running windows 8 since it released. No Issues at all. I hope you didn't upgrade over top windows 7 or vista / XP. I got the upgrade version but elected to KEEP NOTHING when installing which is essentially a clean Install of windows 8 pro 64bit. I have a Nvidia gtx470 Intel Core I7 920 With 12 gigs ram triple channel OCZ Vertex 3 128 GB SSD and an older Gigabyte UD3R MB I play the game using HDMI to a 55 Inch TV. Again never had any issues with crashing or performance.
  17. Oh as soon as star Citizen launches im there. I will be somewhat jaded because of what happened with TOR I had so much hope because of Bioware and ME1 and ME2 and KOTOR. I watched his video and one thing is for sure he has passion and since he used Kickstarter to get funds he owes no one. He wont have a huge bureaucracy scrutinizing his every move.
  18. I am sorry speaking as someone who has 6 lvl 50 toons and one in her 40s I think this is something one should spend the time earning by leveling the toons. Why does everyone want to speed through everything? The game does indeed start at level 1 ya know... There is already to much in the market that marginalizes the effort other put in. I would support the option to purchase the buffs on a second server if on the first server you had earned it through leveling alts.
  19. I am all for events on pvp servers to be exclusive to them. There should be clear and definitive differences between pvp and pve. This way it will encourage all the pvprs to go there and leave the pvers alone... I feel the dev team is cutting costs by not developing on separate lines for pvp and pve...
  20. Yeah I agree with you but... If someone wants open dynamic pvp world then roll on pvp server. If you want part time open pvp then only those who CHOOSE to flag should be subject to any pvp. There is no reason to create quests that are in a forced pvp area on a pve server. If there are those on a pve server who want that then roll on a pvp server. Personally there shouldn't be ANY forced pvp areas other then structured warzones. Even if Ilum is brought back it should be structured and queue-able but at least there are warnings to prevent wandering in unknowingly.
  21. What the PVPrs don't seem to get is this. There is a reason there are PVP servers and PVE servers. Most NOT ALL but most PVErs despise the pvp scene. There should be NO requirement in ANY quest on a PVE server to PVP at all what so ever. When you play on a PVP server you accept the fact that PVP is the sole purpose of the server and expect PVP. Bioware should recognize this and provide ways for those who desire PVP to move to a PVP server. Bioware should only let the part time pvpers to attain pvp goals through warzones and such on a PVE server. There should ALSO be PVP gear you can only get on a PVP server. After of course they provide a way for people to transfer to a PVP server. Conversely there should be PVE gear you can ONLY get on a PVE server. I am not saying STAT WISE these sets are BIS just a way to have some exclusivity between the 2 communities. If there are Really kewl PVP gear sets only on the PVP servers then people will move or have toons on both. I don't think there should be a mix of the two. PVP on a PVE server should be WARZONES only. or by CHOICE if you CHOOSE to flag yourself.

  23. This is the exact reason personal storys aren't being done or why the so called SGRAs are delayed. This is why they didn't make him a low level companion. He has no normal dialog. I loved KOTOR and the game was pretty much centered around Revan and HK-47. This game is not and I think it was a mistake actually to have an HK in the game other then the one in the flash points. KOTOR fans will have HIGH expectations for HK-51 and they fell way short. I am glad they made the effort though.
  24. Some *Force Unleased* type abilities. More free moving objects in the environment. So I can pick them up and throw them in any direction I want in or out of a fight. Of course they would despawn and reset after a while. Ide like the ability to lift an ally and move them up or down. Would help with some datacrons hint hint. Ide also like to see land based vehicles on par with the WartHogs in Halo. Perhaps a larger land speeder with a mounted gun that a ally could man. Ide like to see some of the existing warzones altered to have Mounted Gun emplacements.
  25. The one I have an Issue with is the one on Tatooine Imperial side the one that's on the roof near the space port. I can get to the white walkway where you have to jump diagonally to the left to a small curved pipe. The issue is that the wall on the corner you have to jump past to land on the pipe pushes you way to the left and it causes me to miss every time. The only other one I had issues with was on HOTH when you have to ride the boxes on over head cranes inside the building on the top floor. The last jump is a killer.
