  1. Hello, We discussed this last night, and my team will be glad to help you complete this task and end the threat from SOA! thanks
  2. Lets imagine a world where you give out a new system that keeps getting more levels, and less and less gear. Then when you roll it out suddenly the 120 levels becomes 300. Now your most active players grind it out and find that after 700 crates they still have yet to get one 230 234 236 240 or 243 set of legs, 2 pieces of 242 gear and 5 duplicates of those 2 pieces, 1 relic they can use and 8 others that are use or duplicates or never used. Then you give the most dedicated players a system to fill in the holes and they simply need to do 600 pvp matches and get random drops of some hm bosses. Then in this imaginary world just as they have done al they were asked and are close to a full set of 242. You inform them that in a month a new system of gear will be out and it has 3 more levels and to help everyone catch up everyone else will get three times the reward you got for the same effort. Now ask yourself why the forums are so quiet, the most dedicated players are moving on.
  3. The idea of the command system is great, it made me willing to run sm with anyone and teach new players all the things I have learned and at the same time feel like everyone from a first op player and those who have done nim many times could play together. The problem lies in the reward for your time. First the cxp earned was not well balanced for time invested. They tipped the scales in favor of golds then destroyed it, then it was pvp and finally vet uprisings. Now if those rewards were balanced then it wouldn't have been a big issue we wouldn't feel like hamsters on a wheel doing one thing over and over. Second the contents of the crates were completely random. One person I knew had a complete set of bis 230 in 60 crates and others got 2 pieces or less in 60 crates. That's way to wide a margin. Second was the mind numbing duplicates that dropped. I speak from experience almost 600 crates opened for my jugs and guardians. I have yet to receives a single set of set piece legs any level 230 234 236 240 or 242. I have opened around 300 tier three crates and for 242 I have 3 implants 3 wrists 1 glove 7 relics not one is a relic used by anyone and schematics for the main 4 relics (2 each) and the 4 implants (crit alac shield abs). I think the quality is acceptable but the duplicates are a serious issue. Getting 7 relics wouldn't be such an issue if I got 1 of each type but 3 of one type and 3 of another and 0 of the 4 main ones is just badly written code. Would it be so hard to make the rng set to pass out a variety of everything possible before it gives a duplicate? Sure then it is simply do the work get the rewards and less issues of will I ever get a set of legs and more of its just a matter of time. Fix that and a lot of issues would be eliminated.
  4. I would like to see a minor change made to the Galactic system. This does not mean I only see minor changes needed, I opened 600 crates over 200 tier 3 and have 3 242 wrists 3 242 relics (use ones) 2 242 relics (not used by any tank in the game) and 2-3 of each of the four main relics schematics. Lots of duplicates and only 2 242 implants nd 2 armor pieces that are usable. Plus in over 600 crates all tiers not one single set piece legs drop. Is that average of acceptable? I would say no it is not acceptable. Now to the minor change you should look at. The maximum number of pvp unassembled tokens you can save is 1000. That is not enough to save up and upgrade an entire set. Why is this important? If I do the work to upgrade my armor and I am forced to spend them at an arbitrary point then I get a crate and get lucky and get a 242 piece of gear that I just upgraded it would be wasted. Now that headache could be eliminated simply by making the maximum 2800. The only thing that having a 1000 limit does is set the stage for unhappiness for someone who is unlucky like I have been. Unless you have some serious issue that having 1001 or more unassembled pieces would cause like the servers would blow up then lets get this fixed. thanks
  5. Well after another 50 crates and receiving a 242 relic that is never used, (I have 3 of one and 2 of another neither is ever used) and a third wrist and still not one single set of legs set piece at any level. I downloaded a new game and decided to start playing something else. Yes this is still star wars but why grind out weeks of pvp to upgrade my 236 gear and hope for something besides wrists and the same two relics to drop. Of course since they have yet to clarify the gear they are giving beyond tier 2 tier 3 it will probably be 240 and not 242 when you upgrade using pvp tokens. Then when that's all done it is still back to the same old ops, insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. Now if anything I posted is inaccurate feel free to tell me what I missed.
  6. First the new system does not correct the problems in the current system it simply adds a way to work around the problems by grinding ops and pvp. If you really think winning 2 pieces of gear for 8 people in an op is going to make everyone jump for joy when before it was 5 pieces for 8 people, I expect it to be worse. Second grinding pvp who knows how many matches to fix the problems that they could have simply corrected with a system that gave you an increasing chance at winning tokens that let you buy the pieces you want from your crates instead of randomly giving you duplicates. Then you would chose what you won and they control how fast you win them. Instead we get this system and for those who say its just rng, well maybe I have been very lucky who knows maybe others will have it much worse. I got to level 300 and didn't give up I ground out hours of uprisings to get 30 more crates and nothing. So what are others who are not willing to grind endlessly going to do quit and give up? That's what I have seen in game more and more tension and anxiety and fewer and fewer people even logging in.
  7. I have opened with my guardians and jugs 250 tier 1 crates 90 tier 2 crates and 140 tier 3 crates. So far I have gotten 0 set piece legs at any level and 3 pieces of 242 set piece armor and two of those are duplicate wrists. You really expect people to continue to play this game when this is the reward they can expect after they do the work you ask them to do? I first saw this system I thought the grind would be horrible and yet I have sucked it up and hung in and pushed on. Yet every step has been to make it worse and worse. So tell me why I should not just walk away? I worked for the worlds largest company in our field and our goal was always under promise and over deliver. Now after doing everything you asked and told us to do it simply seems to be increasingly wasted effort. So why should I not leave for something else, heck anything else.
  8. Just something to think about, I opened 225 tier 1 crates and got 13 set pieces, no legs or chest but over 2 5 piece sets. I opened 90 tier 2 crates and got 7 pieces of set piece gear nd 2 duplicates and 6 piece 4 were 236 2 were 234. Tier 3 has been 105 crates 1 242 set piece nd 1 240 set piece and lots and lots of predominately useless items. I will say that tier 3 did give me lots of the same relic schematics 240 and after all this not one single set piece legs any tier and not one single ear at any tier. I have no ide is this is just bad luck or very similar to what others have experienced. Tomorrow I expect to reach level 300 and face an endless grind with no end in sight. Let me know if you have gotten to 300 I would love to hear how it went for others.
  9. Tonight we were playing and I came up with an idea that my group laughed and laughed about and we would love to see added to the game. The idea is a sand crawler mount, not just any sand crawler but a miniature one like the pet one we have but that we could sit on and ride with our feet on the front a steering pillar sticking up and a steering wheel in the middle almost like a scooter or power wheel but also kind of a fun look. We thought it would be perfect for those times you want to take out a character and just tool around and have fun! Thanks
  10. I love the story, I enjoy the uprising but the GC system is broken. All the players in our allies server wide chat can do is complain about the grind and it is barely begun. I know I have personally opened 109 crates and have yet to get a 6 piece set. I did this using a lot of alts on low GC levels to increase the drop rate. Now looking at the next phase of grinding to level 180 just to begin tier 2 grind is beginning to look just plain ridiculous. The system is not the problem as much as the rewards for the levels, after the first ten or so crates it becomes obvious that half the contents are old junk or useless shells and companion gifts. About every 10-12 crates you get a set piece or a good schematic, the rest is simply disintegrated. Most players have been begrudgingly grinding away but as the crates take longer and longer to obtain and they begin to see the daunting length the initial enthusiasm for the novelty will be gone. Then they will wake up around Christmas morning and realize the Grinch has stolen their joy. You could have put in actual new things like tuning or items that as my friend says is "space sexy" to at least keep people entertained but the drop rate of set piece and the best schematics is harsh. I have made many suggestions but you guys are not stupid and I believe you actually want this to succeed. So please make an effort to correct the rng and content. Maybe no one is listening and I am wrong and no one actually cares but don't make the players who are holding on hoping this game can be fun and enjoy it doesn't end up with the doom and gloomers being right or the white knights blind "everything is great posts" fool you. On my server we have allies chat and almost everyone is in it and the moral has gone down and many simply are tired of 20 crates ad 1 set piece and someone else getting 4 out of 10 but then they go 30 or 40 crates with nothing. I hope we can all have a Merry Christmas and not feel grinched.
  11. You know it is interesting how they continually find one of the worst solutions to a problem. This could have been a simple fix, set a cap that is player and alt friendly lets say 40k points a week per legacy by class and allow (as an example Jugs and Guards) to work their GC exp. It makes almost everyone happy we play what characters we want till we get to the max in a week and then work on another class and still play as many alts as we like. Of course I still believe that the rng should be taken out and their should be a set that if you have received 4 crates with no set piece then the fifth is auto so no one ever has to terrible luck and yet allows someone a chance for 5 set pieces in a row. Also I would try to balance the points that can be generated per hour a bit better and raise it so someone who plays 2 hours a day 5 days a week has a chance of getting one class done each week. Surely simply nerfing anything not gsf and not pvp was not the best idea and probably the worst choice available.
  12. That is a good suggestion, maybe they could earn some exp for each stronghold over a certain prestige level and then if you have a total prestige over a specific amount you could get some more exp. This could be given weekly so its a little bonus for playing. Now lets talk about how to incentivized rp and erp!
  13. I was just talking with a friend of mine and he suggested that you give GC exp for decorating your stronghold. He doesn't mean for completing it but for time spent putting deco down and actually decorating. I thought I would share that idea maybe you could also look into getting GC exp for rping or even better erping.
  14. That's a nice start but I think we would also need to have legacy galactic command by class so all our jug/guard (as an example) could be played to grind out gear together and not work independently. That would make it more alt friendly and soften the grind significantly.
  15. I actually have 50/50 slots and with 2 new ones coming ill be 50/52 and all but the few I used for lowbie pvp are 65+. I predominately plays tanks 16 jug/guard 9 pt/van 9 ***/shad and at least 1 of each other. It seems like a lot but its nice to have variety.
  16. Originally they said that you would no longer need a separate set of pvp gear, but we all know the truth. You do not set up your pvp and pve gear the same. So of course you will still need two sets of gear just one way to get the second set. So if you want to play both pve and pvp you will no only need to grind out the 300 levels of galactic command you will also need to keep going to get the second set and lets not forget the third and forth sets if you want to play both roles. Grind and hope for good rng.
  17. I posted earlier with an idea which would also lend backup to the system which would be to insert a token which can be traded in for any piece of gear every ten levels once a tier is achieved so eventually you would be guaranteed to get your set of gear. I also believe that 450 hours to complete the 300 levels of Galactic command is much to long and should be 1/3 or at most 1/2 of that. Even at 150 hours most players who play 2-3 hours a day would need a couple months per class to get geared out instead of almost six months per class. I enjoy the work and accomplishment aspect of grinding but lets have some sanity in the amount of grinding needed.
  18. One thing I remember them discussing in the livestream after they demonstrated the new uprising was how they set the difficulty for the veteran level content. You need to have mostly the next to BiS gear and some BiS gear and it must be augmented and stimmed to have a chance. They did it in full sets of BiS and they endured many deaths. That lets us know we need to get the gear to attempt the content, and my team and I enjoy the challenges but we also do the work to be prepared to succeed. So we are all having to come to grips with the new potentially 400 hour plus grind on one character per class. I started this thread simply to try and put a more reasonable number out there. Even at guaranteed set piece and 112 crates its very easy to see a 150 plus hour grind. That's a third of has to be the low end estimate currently. Please don't drive away more players with this system, its hard enough to find good competent raiders and getting harder every day.
  19. In response to your remarks "I've never been a progression raider (it's boring to me) but was curious. Are you saying that if one of your members needed a specific piece of gear you could just go and get it from a certain boss in a certain op? Is the gear a definitive drop or is there rng involved? And if it doesn't drop, isn't there like a weekly lock out?" Yes we go get what they need and its a known who dropped which pieces and levels in 4.0. So we would go kill a boss who drops the item they need and give it to them its that simple. A good progression team can gear a char out in no time because they work as a team not as individuals. So the team gets gear for the individuals in the team no rolling just pass it out and everyone is content that its going to build up the team.
  20. If only we didn't know how long it will take, they have made it abundantly clear how long it will take. Approximately 1 hour for each level and 300 levels and simple math will give you an idea and that doesn't take into account them saying higher levels will take longer. So we are not guessing we are simply listening to what they are telling us.
  21. From the first time the new gearing system was explained I could see this was going to be a time grind. Ok the current system is a grind to do priority ops to get the gear for an entire team and then when real life happens gear a replacement. Their will always be a grind, but 300 levels at even the most optimistic guesses is still 300 to 450 hours on a single character. Now that's a minimum even for the most active players of potentially 3 months to completely gear out for the highest content. Which according to them they are making the highest content near impossible, which is based on gear. Even in the system it would take to gear a duo role 28 crates to get each tier of gear completed, with 4 tiers and 2 roles that's 112 total and at 1-1.5 hours per level that's around 175 hours. My hope was 150 hours to get BiS for one class on one character. I could have lived with that personally and yet many of the people I play with raid with and the reason I log in everyday will be mush slower to complete. We have been dealing with that for a month and watched as countless players simply stop logging in. No that grind is tripled and almost no one is cheering for a 450 hour grind on a single character to get BiS. I have been told no way it will be that bad and every time I watch a stream it actually gets worse. Please I know this isn't the best or a perfect suggestion but if you could live with something like this please agree and lets hope that enough likes or agreements will get their attention and it can be salvaged before it is to late and our friends stay and some come back. Thanks I will make this suggestion and plead for some sanity to return to the system. If you set the drop rate of crates to 100 tiered set bonus gear if you have 4 tiers its 112 levels and to combat the randomness give a token for any item at 100 and every 10 levels after that, BtL would be awesome but BoP is acceptable. So everyone can trust that eventually they would get a set of BiS gear if they do the work. Second since you can legacy the gear around anyway just stop making this so painful and make it legacy by class, so all jugs and guardians as an example can work together to get their gear so you can change chars and sides as much as you like and not be penned in on one character. 150-175 hours to get one class set of gear will be plenty painful. The last thing I want to say is you will not make us play more or stay in the game by making the grind longer, sadly you have done the damage and driven a lot of people away already but remember we play because of the friends and people we know and love to spend our time with. We all enjoy the solo play at time but its the comradery of accomplishing a difficult piece of content or completely gearing our tem out that give us the greatest thrill. This system you intend makes it impossible for me to help my team by putting them first and that will kill the teams and friendships and the game.
