  1. i don't like the event,

    world boss rotation:

i would more like to see a collection of world bosses to kill. just these easy ones are a bit boring

after some days. maybe that could be changed, too.

    idea:

it is a cooking and serving event. so what i am missing is buff food. so the vendor should also give

some recipes to learn and the cooking mission should give you additional buff food you could use.

maybe some new stuff, like +crit crafting.

On the first point I totally agree. I appreciate not all could be included, as to make the event accessible to the widest audience, the pool of bosses should be from among the 'easier' ones. On the subject of the available pool I would like next year to see a faster response to removing bugged bosses from this pool, as without this we end up with the Belsavvis situation which affected many.

On the second - that seems like a good suggestion. A permanent 'skill' (whatever shape that might be) gained from high participation in the event seems like a nice legacy from it.

  2. I have a ryzen 3900x 3.8 (4.6 max ) I also have a EVGA XC ultra 2070, 32gigs ram and I have trouble on Ossus and any newer area about 30fps. But I also am over 100 everywhere else and I run higher resolution than 1920xv1080 (3840 x 2160) I dont pvp but I do have my doubts too.

Similar situation. I have a very high-end machine shared between dev work and gaming and swtor will often struggle. I don't PvP, but I have noticed significant slowdown in areas such as Mek-Sha just while roaming around doing very little. Due to the Feast event I took part in the WB missions for the first-time ever (*), and was shocked trying to participate with a group doing Lucky - was like a slide-show running in Ultra graphics settings. I took it down to Medium for the next attempt and was totally fine, and then up to High which was also fine. Rather than keep swapping graphics settings I've just left it at high now as it works very well (mostly) without really that much difference between the highest setting.

    * In mitigation, this was the first day where lots of people would be trying out the event, so I was in a full group and another was forming, with spectators also, so might be the sheer volume of people around. Similarly, approaching the feast mission area on NS would start to judder.

  3. Hello everyone,

Just a few examples: I can't complete the challenge dish mission of the feast of prosperity event, because I can't place the ingredient on the grill, it's not clickable and throwing also does not work,

I had this - I'd go to throw the food and the animation wouldn't trigger. Fortunately, after a few days it started working again. It wasn't a positional thing - didn't matter where I stood, it just wouldn't fire. But, like I say it did eventually start working again - possibly after the last patch which I guess might have reset something for me.

  4. I think you said it well, everybody is horrible at the jump challenges, because it's by design, as you often slip. slide, fall off all the obstables sometimes having to start from scratch...

I think it's more the game is horrible at jump challenges :D It does make a lot of difference, in my experience at least, to turn down the graphics settings to low - a couple that I was struggling with became so much easier after I did this. The phase walk ability is handy also for those really frustrating ones. Combination of that got me all bar fleet due to group requirement and one of the Mek-Sha ones that continues to defeat me each attempt.

  5. Certainly, there's a lot of casual guilds out there with no expectations play-wise. The guild that I'm in is such an example - no-one is compelled to do any content, log x amount of hours, be kicked out if they don't log in for a period of time etc. etc. This was a huge factor is my choosing them, that and the 'don't be a complete **** to anyone' rule :D

I've personally found it useful and has encouraged me, like you, to do things like WBs that I'd never have touched beforehand. I've even started doing group FPs again with them. And, if I'm not in the mood and want to play solo for a while then, that's just fine :-)

  6. Without being there with you, I can't suggest what the problem might be. Make sure the 'cursor' is on the 'grill', is about all I can suggest. The last couple times I did that quest, I just picked up the ingredient, rotated to face the grill, clicked the icon, centered the cursor over the 'grill' (in particular, not just the whole oven), and clicked. Perhaps you are not placing the cursor directly on the grill bars?

Apologies, I missed this. It was fine for the first couple of days, then intermittent. Now it's every time sadly, so I've mostly had to leave it be. Using the un-timed version I've stood everywhere in the room and adjusted the target to cover pretty much every variation and it doesn't fire. I can sometimes get it to work by leaving and doing another mission and coming back later, but only the easy - the timed version is pretty much guaranteed not to work unfortunately.

  7. I had that the first few times I tried it, but someone in chat said to stand back more, and it worked after that.

Stand back a bit. I had the same problem until a guildie told me. Basically, there is no need to approach the grill - just pick up the ingredient, turn, and do the place-on-the-grill thing.

Thanks both, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to matter where I stand. I've noticed it only happens on the second go - so yesterday I did the easy version fine then wouldn't trigger the animation for the timed version. Today it's let me do the same timed version that I had outstanding, but the easy one doesn't work - tried a whole bunch of times standing in various places. My suspicion is if I leave the planet, go do other things it'll probably work then.

  8. Mostly I'm enjoying it, and for the first time in 6-ish years, on and off, I've fought a world boss, so that was a positive outcome for me. No 'forced' into it that is often the way with this game, but more of a gentle incentive - nice, that worked - well done :-)

The only minor gripe in addition to the respawn times already mentioned, is that I find the time cooking event a little buggy - it often fails to register the 'place on grill / hob' multiple times and I get timed-out.

  9. That's a bit odd. Are you sure she had a weapon?

I've only run that FP three times, but it's happened on two of those occasions and I've just had to wait an die and start again. And, similarly to what turbomagnus said, it's something that I've noticed from time-to-time - not often, but it does occur. I guess it's just the mirror bug to the companion standing out of range and not healing! :D

  10. It's in vet mode, if you try and run them solo, they don't work, you get a message saying you have to be in a group, or something like that.

Hi - yes, I think I made the assumption that we were talking about Solo mode. It's just always struck me as a little odd that they are highlighted and clickable, yet disabled. Not that I necessarily think they should be enabled - no real strong opinion there - not like they are really needed fro most FPs. Just think it'd make sense to properly disable them in solo.

  11. Oddly, I'm sure I must have done the Copero flashpoint in story mode, but I don't recall having any problems with it. 😏

It's possible that I gave Raina some gifts, but they would only be green and blue ones I had on hand, so she'd still be under level 10.

It must depend upon class and equipment as much as anything else.

Oh, it's certainly do-able even at rank one - and I say this as someone with no-better than average ability. The problem is more that in pretty much any other story mode you can just stand right next to the boss and never really have to move (aside from pushbacks). This one comes as a surprise as you can't do that, so catches people out, or at least did for me a few times. Also, Raina, despite being ranged, seems to have a tendency to try to slug it out too and gets killed PDQ leaving you without healing as those kolto stations won't work.

  12. Prelude to Revan // Forged Alliances had *four* in succession.

Shadow of Revan had two. (Battle of Rishi and Blood Hunt)

Oh god yes, four - I stand corrected. As I said above I tend to find that sort of a design to be quite off-putting - I think I managed to get 2 chars through years ago and one relatively recently. Mostly I press the fast-forward button

  13. Yeah that was a terrible design decision. I remember having to bring gifts when I went through that story so that I could at least get her to 20. Now I just skip straight to Ossus after the vanilla class stories. Going through the expansions is just not worth it between poor writing, bugs and forcing FPs on you...it's just one big tedium.

Agree - not a huge fan of dumping a whole bunch of FPs in one go. Obviously SoR had 5(?) with 3 in succession, and so does this part which does get pretty dull after a short while. I guess comparatively it's cheaper content, but still...

  14. People struggle (still) with the Guardian Droid in the Copero flashpoint, using forced Raina Temple.

Heh... that caught me out (again) yesterday evening - "wait, why am I dead in story mode?" :D Then I remembered that it's one of the few times that you have to pay attention. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing - just catches me out as most of the time you can just slug it out.
