  1. You don't understand, The EU is a cluster**** of asterisks. If you don't believe me, go to and watch his video on the EU. The EU is filled with strange laws and stranger exceptions. This doesn't just apply to joining the EU either, it applies to everything in the EU. It's not as simple as, 'Hey, EU, I want some data!' and the EU saying, 'Okay, America.' It's for tons and tons of reasons. Also, it's all 'bout the money. And it costs a lot to do stuff like this....
  2. Mon Calamari would be awesome. Their racial would be 'It's a Trap!' which allows them to escape movement stopping effects. They would also add a class called Admiral and you would level up with a Mon Cal as the Admiral until you kill him(for DS) or he retires (For LS). Then you'd become space admiral and go about commanding your space fleet as you level.
  3. Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Why? Story and lore. There's very little to nothing to expand on without angering the lore nerds. The reason TOR would do better is well, there isn't much on the Old Republic. I would either like a New Republic/Jedi Order and Imperial Fractures MMO or a second Old Republic one, but in no way at all a CW mmo. There just isnt enough there.
  4. Imagine this: You've gone to this one bank all your life, but you're moving, so you need to trasnfer the money out of the bank but the bank goes, "No, **** you, this stays here until you pay up." Yeah, not fun, right?

  6. I find one reason people shy away from SWTOR was it's bad launch. Basically, SWTOR was released waaaay too early, it was incomplete and totally worthless for quite a bit. Also, it's F2P, just adding another thing against this game. There are a lot of things *cough* EA *cough* that make people shy away from SWTOR. Some thought SWTOR was gonna be a WoW killer, I mean, Star Wars MMO made by a major game company? Oh boy! But it was rushed out and forced to go F2P.
  7. Yup. He's a BH companion, and he's a tank, his abilities are lob pizza ball, and distract enemies with deliciousness. He is a romance able companion, you flirt by telling him how delicious he is. Another companion can be Barf, for the smug, and his abilities are woof and tail whap. For Inq, they get Dark Helmet, whos abilities are Ludricous Speed and Insanely large helmet. For Agent, they get President Skroob, whos abilities are Pierre-Air(healing) and Mega-Maid. JK gets Dot Matrix, who's basically a reskin of the ship droid, and SW gets Colenel Sanders, whos abilities are Major ***hole and comb the desert. Finally, Consular gets Yogurt, whos abilities are Merchandising and the Schwartz. These companions all come out in an X-Pack called Revenge of King Roland where the final boss is King Roland.
  8. Species/Race: Human Name: Jackema Middle Name: Bobby Last Name: Kennety Nickname: Jack Gender: Male Date of Birth: 19 BTC Place of Birth: N/A Age: 30 Height: 6'0" Weight: 204 lbs Hair Color/Style: Brown, neatly combed Facial Appearance: Nothing remarkable about the face Eye Color: Blue Body Appearance: Walks with a slight limp in the left leg, although never in public Home Planet: N/A Current Residence: Coruscant Allegiance: Republic, Galactic Seante Profession: Senator Armor/Clothes: Dresses in formal wear almost constantly Primary Weapon(s): Rarely has a weapon, but prefers a blaster rifle to anything else Secondary Weapon(s): N/A Miscellaneous Item(s): N/A Biography: Born into an upper class family on an obscure planet, Jackema had a childhood trouble with sickness. When the war with the Empire started up, Jack joined the Republic Navy. During a regular routine run, Jack's ship was almost completely destroyed by an Imperial Cruiser. Jack, a lieutenant, was the highest remaining offical after the incident. Jack, whom had never been in command felt overwhelmed. He hoped another Republic ship would save them, but after a while, it became apparent that no one was coming. Jack decided to have the remaining crew get into the few remaining escape pods and hope for the best. One wrong turn, and Jack and his crew could be stuck on an Imperial planet. Jack and the crew crashed onto a planet that was currently being fought on. They crashed in the ocean, but luckily, some islands were nearby. After a few nights of attempting to signal a Republic base, Jack soon realized that their supplies were dwindling quickly. He and another one of the crew mates swam to a nearby island to try to find resources, but failed. After a few more nights, they found a canoe. Again Jack went out, hoping to find a Republic base. That night though, a horrible storm struck the ocean. Jack and the crewmember were thrown out of the canoe and into the ocean. The crew member drowned, but Jack was saved by some local native aliens. Before they could save him however, Jack was severely beat up. His knee was stuck hard and never recovered, the same goes for his back. The aliens took him to a nearby Republic base. Jack sent a rescue crew after his ship mates. That was the first time Jack had ever taken lead of anything, and he was a changed man for it. Jack is a widower. His wife was killed by an assassin. After his wife, who was a politician died, Jack left his then profession of teaching at a school in Coruscant to join the Senate and continue his wife's mission of making the Senate work again and removing corruption. His closest friend, Dwight Nix, is also his adviser and formerly a Senator. Dwight left after Jack's wife died to help Jack continue his mission. Now, Jack lives on Coruscant, representing the small planet he comes from.
  9. The reason this game is not a major success is a varied topic. One major reason is, well, competition. Blizz has WoW, which has basically become the staple of the MMO industry. They have, by far, the largest amount of subs. Swtor comes in second(last time I checked anyway) but it's still way under WoW. SWTOR's horrendous launch forced the game into a F2P model. I didn't play this game since launch, but I remember a lot of people I knew seeing it as 'the end of WoW' and what not. It may very well have been would have had it not been rushed out. EA has a bad rep as a company that buys companies like BW to produce half-assed sequels that fall flat on their faces but have a good launch cause the original game(KoToR) was sooooo good! The problem is, SWTOR isnt KoToR 3, it's an MMO. The game was incomplete at launch and people who joined went back to WoW disappointed. While SWTOR has gotten better by a lot since then, people still get this bad taste in their mouth when you talk about SWTOR. It is often viewed as Pay-2-Win by some WoW players, but this is untrue. The CM is basically a Cash Shop with cool looking stuff you don't really need. SWTOR just doesn't get enough funding for it to succeed in the MMO market. The thing that makes MMOs such a hard game to make is you have to nail it exactly at launch and continue to do so far after. WoW, for the most part*cough cough* Pandaland *cough cough* has done so. BW and SWTOR, has not... The thing about it is, you need enough people coming back every month to make it worth while to make the game. SWTOR'S bad launch hindered it severely. People have misconceptions of the MMO market and SWTOR itself. 'Oh it's a WoW Clone, It's P2W, it's full of little kids cause it's F2P, BW pays no attention to the game etc.' SWTOR basically is unliked for a variety of reasons, mainly it all falls on EA's shoulders
  10. This and what the thread is all about are what SWTOR needs. Having a set price for the Sub Coins crushes the Credit sellers because A: No insta ban for this and B: The set limit helps make it more worth it. As for the voting, it's a great idea. It allows for the majority of the community to get what they want. Maybe you could rank different items in a 1, 2 and 3 voting system where say there are 5 pieces of Eye Candy armor, well you can list 3 of them according to how you want them. Now what will happen is that there could possibly another pack or two that could be set at a slightly lower price than the pack that got the most #1 votes. Call it the 'Best of the Rest Pack' or something.
  11. The whole reason that Jedi don't allow love(as in erotic love, as for your wife etc) is so that way some uber evil Sith cant kidnap Mrs. Jedi and then threaten to blow up a world or to kill your wife. You love Mrs Jedi, so you'll want to save her, but you have to kill a whole planet to do so. Or vice versa. It can also lead to fear and what not. Also, it's not that the Jedi dont feel the feelings, they simply must suppress them so that they don't lead them down the darkside. That said, LS Sith is by far better than a Jedi
  12. So for my new character, I made him a Senator from a small, obscure planet and such. I tried to downplay the whole Senator thing, I didn't burst into a bar and yell at the top of my lungs that all should bow before the might senator and what not. In fact, it didn't come up until late into the RP when my character was asked what he did for a living. I, of course, replied that I was a Senator. Almost immediately, they stopped RPing with me, so I thought I'd come here. Is RPing a Senator Mary Sue-ing or Power Playing?
