  1. I second idle animations for our characters and companions!
  2. *TLDR at the end* Hey all, So, back when the Jedi Under Siege expansion launched, I was about to start it when the warning appeared. You know, the one that said something along the lines of "if you start this mission, any uncompleted quests/storylines will be autocompleted and all decisions will be made according to your class". Well, when I read that I was like "well, I already played through KOTFE/KOTET and ROTHC. Shadow of Revan is apparently unavailable to me since I used the straight-to-level-60 token on this character and I don't think I can go back play through the "vanilla storyline" because of that. I don't care about any other side quests, operations, or pre-KOTFE/KOTET flashpoints. Guess I'll start this Jedi Under Siege thing." and I did that feeling fairly confident, though there was a small part of me that questioned my decision. I ended up not worrying about it too much and enjoyed JUS. When Onslaught came out, I wasn't feeling any regret or worry either. Lately, however, I have been really desiring to play through Shadow of Revan. I made the mistake of looking up Theron Shan and Lana Beniko's backstory's on Wookiepedia (because I love them and wanted to know more about them) and well, reading about what they do during Shadow of Revan (and also remembering that you can get a Theron love scene) made me realize once again how much I want to play that expansion and how I may have made a huge mistake starting Jedi Under Siege when I did. Is it really impossible to play through Shadow of Revan now that I have already completed Jedi Under Siege and Onslaught and because the character I've been using since KOTFE first came out is an insta-60 character? Or is there a way to play it, despite all of that stuff. I mean, at this point I just want to experience the story for myself. The choices I make don't have to matter or have any effect on the gameplay now (they wouldn't have any effect on KOTFE/KOTET and JUS/Onslaught anyway. I read that you can romance Lana or Theron no matter what happened in the past so it's like the choices you make in SOR don't even matter much, unfortunately.) TLDR, I've an insta-60 character who's already played through Jedi Under Siege and Onslaught. Is it possible or impossible to go back and play Shadow of Revan now? Thanks to anyone who reads this and to those who take the time to reply.
  3. Agreed! Especially for characters like Paxton. I wasn't able to get him, unfortunately, but I feel like he (and other companions like him that you can get just by being a subscriber for a certain amount of time) severely needs some conversations/dialogue options and quests since he wasn't in any of the main storylines/expansions (unless he was and I just missed him).
  4. I would like to keep my Alliance, thank you very much. I loved KOTFE/KOTET, I love the Alliance, I love being a Commander, I love not having to be a pawn of the Republic or Empire, and I love that my Commander has brought people from both sides together. I hope the Alliance stays in future expansions (unless they come up with a really good reason for the Alliance to go away. But even then, I think that choice should be up to the player). Please stop trying to speak for other players.
  5. I understand that. I enjoy the SoR/KotFE/KotET companions the most too. I just assumed since SWTOR is "going back to their roots" with Onslaught then they'd probably focus on the class-specific companions plus Theron and Lana It would probably be a ton of work for the devs but I wish we could get an equal amount of companion content. Companions have always been an important part of Star Wars, both in the films and games. Han Solo you could say was Luke's companion and he is considered one of the greatest Star Wars characters of all time. The same goes for Artoo. In KOTOR, one of the best parts of the game is interacting with companions like Bastila, Mission, and Carth. They really make the game something special. Even KOTOR 2 has great companions (Kreia, Atton, etc). It's worth mentioning that, without KOTOR and KOTOR 2 we would not have SWTOR. So it would make sense for SWTOR to also have great companions for you to converse with, both from a gaming perspective and a Star Wars perspective. Right now it feels like most companions are just there and don't do anything or have a reason to be there until the plot is like "oh yeah we forgot about you. Let's have you do something" or if there's a romance scene (though I don't know if those who romanced characters like Arcann even got a kiss or anything in the latest expansion. Does anyone know?) I wouldn't mind there being a Companion-centric update. Companions could have updated movements, facial adjustments, different lines ("lines" referring to the five or so lines your companion cycles through when you click on them), and maybe new outfits for some of them. Plus, new conversations and quests. Yeah, it would a lot of work but SWTOR is at a good place right now. It seems everyone is pretty satisfied with how things are going. Also, the devs have been updating a lot of things like vendor symbols and the opening music. It makes sense they would update the companions and give 'em some love. Perhaps, the companions you're able to talk to depend on who you sided with in Onslaught? Because right now, the Commander can talk to any of their companions, correct? Like, my character ultimately stayed independent and can still talk to characters like Malavai Quinn despite helping the Republic and siding with them during Jedi Under Siege and assisting them during Onslaught. I can also talk to Doc despite having sided with the Empire during KotFE/KotET and the whole Iokath thing. But perhaps certain companions become unavailable if you choose to rejoin with the Empire or Republic (unless this is already what happens in the game and I'm just ignorant because I stayed independent). I mean, I know I'd prefer to be able to talk to all of my companions no matter what but it might not make much sense for a Jedi who rejoined the Republic to still be able to use Malavai Quinn as a companion since he is probably still loyal to the Empire. Unless it's canon that all companions you get during KoTFE/KotET and the side quests stay with the Alliance no matter what just because that's easier and will make more people happy than taking away certain companions based on your allegiance. I feel like I'm starting to ramble a bit, haha. TLDR, companions are in an important part to Star Wars and they should receive a little love and attention in the form of some kind of update that involves new convos and quests. But it's not all that simple and there are a lot of things to take into consideration. Which is why we should all continue to brainstorm. I'm sure the devs are seeing this and are hopefully taking our suggestions into consideration. To those who do think there should be some type of new companions content, what do you want to see and why. How would you like the devs to handle said content? I am thoroughly enjoying discussing this with everyone. P.s. Goreshaga, I agree that there should be a lot more Theron.
  6. Ah, I hadn't thought of that. Perhaps the devs could let us have one final convo with some of the KotFE/KotET companions (Senya, Arcann, Koth, etc.) that are no longer part of the main storyline and then create new conversations and quests for the main companions (Theron, Lana, and class-specific ones). Similar to the original SWTOR storylines for the eight (8) classes where, in between missions/traveling to different worlds, you could talk to your companion(s) and go on missions with them from time to time. It seems like they're wanting to go back to their roots anyway with the Onslaught expansion.
  7. I'm glad to see there are others longing for more companion content.
  8. I would love it if the devs added some companion quests and new conversations we could have with them in between expansions. I mainly play SWTOR for the story. I'm not interested in PVP and other things that have no real story to them. I also feel like the companions have been neglected a little bit in the newer expansions/storylines. I would love to be able to just have a conversation with Lana or Tau with dialogue choices that may or may not affect the story later on or go on a little adventure with Theron or any other companion. In fact, I feel like characters like Senya, Koth, and Arcann (as well as other characters that were introduced during KotFE/KotET and became companions or contacts) have been especially neglected and are really deserving of some 1-on-1 conversation time with our Commander. The companion conversations could happen during expansions (a la KOTOR style where you're trying to get the next convo and are bugging the crap out your companion to the point where they get annoyed with you like jeez carth i love you let me talk to you) and the quests could be in between expansions so the more story-focused players like myself can have a little fun and, more importantly, so our companions get a little love and attention.
