  1. How about you stop screwing the new players and adjust the Cartel Market prices way down so everyone can afford Cartel Items, it'll wreck the credit whales who won't be able to charge 8 billion for items? All this does is hurt new players and will chase off long term players. No other games does this. Charging to trade? Seriously?
  2. Well I feel stupid, I uninstalled and reinstalled thinking it was a broken launcher. Hope they fix it soon.
  3. It'd be really nice if we were given a ships galley or stronghold kitchen deco pack.
  4. I've played plenty of other games where patches take much longer and have more issues. It's a part of life. You aren't gonna die if you have to wait a bit longer. The world isn't going to end. I promise. Being rude and nasty to the Devs just drives them off the forums rather than deal with people who insult them and basically call them useless and incompetents'. Being entitled doesn't make everything run perfectly the way a lot of people expect. So, how about some fun stuff while we wait? I've discovered that the majority of my guild mates die the most to the elevator boss. I've escaped that fate until yesterday, just ran right off into the drop. LOL Anyone else die a lot of that Boss?
  5. It's called a Patch, not a Perfect. It happens. They have to fine tune stuff to make sure it runs properly. Take a Prosac and chill out.
  6. Yes because flinging about thinly veiled insults and open sarcasm endears the Devs to try harder.
  7. No ETA? Man I need to shoot something in the face before work. lol
  8. There's maintenance going on, no servers are available. Look at the top of your launcher, it says in brilliant red Maintenance. Might be why you can't get in.
  9. I use the Razor Naga. I love the convenience of having 12 buttons so I can essentially play one handed and use my free hand for those "oh crap" moments when you need both hands. lol. I've used a Naga for 5 years now and while the first 2 weeks were difficult it was relatively simply to train my hand properly. Muscle memory is amazing when you think about it. I won't go back to a plain mouse ever again.
  10. What a loss to the game. There's been so many from a lot of games of late. Founders and veterans who have influenced countless, given aid and confidence to multitudes. When I see a player who is the very definition of what a great players/teacher is posting a farewell it breaks my heart. Take care of yourself, I hope you find somewhere awesome to lend that amazing mind and heart to. God Speed. May the force ever be with you.
  11. I used to play another game, which I won't mention here, for years. In the past there was communication between players and Devs. and then something changed. It all stopped, all the communication from the server side stopped. Changes were made that caused huge uproar in the community and drove off millions of players all to the tune of thunderous silence from the Devs. I can tell you that as a customer to have someone not only say there's an issue but make it a point to keep me informed and to offer an apology (it wasn't needed for most of us, by the way) for the extra time was simply wonderful. That goldenrod text with the consideration for the players was a breath of fresh air. Yes they took the servers down and people are going to complain but Eric took the time to explain why instead of letting us sit here playing 'guess what's going on and when the servers are gonna be up.'. So let me say again, Thank you Eric and team, for taking the time to make us feel valued. I hope this becomes a common occurrence. What a difference a few lines make in a forum.
  12. I have to say that coming here and seeing Eric posting and keeping us updated really made me, as a customer, feel valued. Thank you so much! It's amazing when there's communication between players and Devs. Wow, week made! Take your time in getting it fixed, SWTOR is worth the wait, more-so after this amazing example of respect for your players.
  13. I liked the consequences offered with the choices made during the ET yet I found the lack of group content disturbing. It was pure solo play with no reason to group and run with family or friends which for me is the whole point of an MMO. I also felt as if they went way to far in making my character too important to the Universe. I'm a bounty hunter, what care do I have of sitting on a throne? I'm a speck in the universe eking out a living. I really disliked that I was placed in a position where everything hinged on my choices. I don't want to be THE hero just A hero. (Or in my case a cash register with a blaster pistol or two LOL) This is one the key annoyances for me. I don't need to be the center of the universe and by forcing that onto me they removed me from the fantasy in a way that left me feeling a bit cranky. I have a giant issue with the botting currently infesting the game and the lack of effort from BW to handle it. I dislike that I have to pay with cartel coins to unlock outfits for all my characters. (WoW does a thing where any gear collected is available across all toons at no extra cost in order to allow easy transmog to armor.) It seems extreme that we're expected to shell out 5.00 here, 5.00 there if we want to be able to use armor or mounts or weapons across our accounts.
  14. I think the issue is that BW doesn't appear to accept this is a problem. These bots don't even try to conceal what they're doing and the fact they remain online in the same area 24/7 without let up for days at a time is a dead give away. Yet despite these bots being reported (In my case multiple times a week on 1 in particular) nothing is ever done. There are no repercussions to illegal and cheating behavior. These players bot in order to make credits then sell them back to players who are unable to farm legitimately in a never ending cycle of bad behavior. Think about that, the legitimate player is unable to farm competitively and honestly and is then (for some I imagine since the sellers spam the mailboxes at a ludicrous rate) they are offered easy effort free credits. In the long run all this is doing is hurting the legitimate player base and chasing off those people who would rather not buy credits but earn them and are unable to because of these bots. This is hardly a problem just here at SWTOR, it's rampant across every MMO atm. What annoys and frustrates me is that they are so blatant about what they are doing that it seems a no brainer to catch them and remove them from the game either with suspension or banning. I realize the Devs are working on more content yet one would imagine that BW would employ at least 1 or 2 people to monitor this issue and take some action. I would happily volunteer my time if it meant being able to effect the removal of the bots. I'll state the old adage that I feel applies to this issue: Silence gives consent. BW with their inaction by definition gives them consent to continue this inappropriate behavior and if they allow this blatancy they cannot then enforce any rule honestly.
  15. I used to slice a ton on Yavin 4, hours at my desk going around and round but even I'm disgusted with the bots. I've reported the 2 I see there daily. I even made it a point to keep watch for 20 hours every hour one day and sure enough still there. I've reported and reported them with no result so I switched over to a gathering profession. >< My entire family plays with 4 of them working I farm to make credits for us all to afford gear when we level a new class together. So far our favorite gear is the unbreakable veterans armor as a Havok squad together. lol. Not cheap but it makes us all happy. So I farm 4-6 hours a day during the weekdays. Now the bots cut into my profits so I'm farming the same amount of time with half the gain. I'm disabled so I figure the least I can do is supply them with gear and mounts (I love my family), and since I'm a farm-a-holic I enjoy the repetition. What I hate are the 2 botters who cheat and screw up my farming addiction. GRrrr
