I am NOT uninstalling then waiting several hours to REinstall the game. YOU will fix this problem NOT us. YOU screwed up. why? you people NEVER fully and thoroughly TEST anything. This is all YOUR fault so YOU need to fix it ASAP. Remove this stupid so-called update so we can play. Its coming up for me to renew my sub. If this keeps up I will NOT renew it and you've not only lost a good customer, but also your precious money from me. This is intolerable and uncalled for. I remember one patch or update a year or so ago. In order just to log on, I had to remove that damn bitraider file everytime before logging on. Now this happens. If I sound angry and annoyed, well too bad, because I and many others are. Deal with it. This is what happens when you mess things up. FIX IT.

I found my own solution to this stupid bitraider program or w/e it is. Before I even load the game I open my program files then delete the bitraider folder. Then I load the game and play it as I had before all this patch crap happened. But beware if you try it. The deletion of the bitraider folder is not permanent. If you logoff the game then plan to return again, be sure you open your program files first again then delete the bitraider folder. I have to do that everytime but its worth it to play again. Until EA does THEIR job and fix things, then I guess WE have to solve things ourselves. Damn shame too.

If you have the streaming of SWTOR as I do, then I have a question. Is that Bitraider program REALLY necessary to play the game? I have read many complaints about it.

ok lets try this. Since it IS this new patch that is not working right, how can I remove it from my game? I don't think I really need it. That bad file I mentioned before can be deleted, but everytime I load the game, its back again. An effort in futility. Just as I feel writing here is the same thing. BAH!!

ok I have tried whatever I can to get the game to play again. NO LUCK at all. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the game again, which I should NOT have to do IF they used a non corrupted patch which is what is seems there is now. So I guess I can't play this anymore. I'll miss it. Have fun those of you who still CAN play it. I hope my guild friends aren't having the problems I am. If this can't be fixed or remedied, then I will not spend anymore money on it. Hey EA....FIX this patch problem. Again I ask if anyone else has this problem too and keep in mind my game is on D drive not C drive.

My game is on D drive. I used a flashplayer to install and play the game. I tried deleting the files suggested for C, but changed it to D because that's where my game is. Until this patch, it worked fine. When I clicked on config there was a file that was bad so I deleted it and tried again. It still won't play. Is there something else I can do or are there any other solutions? I just renewed my sub and bought more cartel coins. Both done on Wednesday before this patch was released. Everything was fine then. I hate to think my money was wasted because this patch ruined the game for me. And why would they put a BAD file in the patch to begin with? They need to test things first.

Idk what you did to the game but as of now I can't get on it. I have tried 4 times and still it doesn't play. The game loads fine but when I click PLAY, nothing happens. Have others reported similar problems? There may be a problem with this new maintenance that you added today. Please help us. I really enjoy this game and I want to continue playing it.

I am a 61 year old man and I thoroughly enjoy Star Wars. I never cared much for George Lucas but he did create an awesome galaxy/universe far, far away. I have played several Star Wars games and still do on Steam. Dark Forces 2, Mysteries of the Sith, Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy, (of which I am a member of a clan on). I still enjoy playing those games. I have read many of the Star Wars novels, the last series I read was Legacy of the Jedi I think that was called. When the very first Star Wars movie hit theaters back in 1977, I was 20 years old and I instantly loved it. Now I hear and have read RUMORS that SWTOR MAYBE and I stress MAYBE on its way out. I certainly hope not. I love this game in my spare time. I began playing last summer in June 2017 as a F2P player. Then a couple months later I became a subscriber and have been since. I wish I had started back in 2012 when it was first released but I was involved in another MMORG at that time. It has been online for 9 years now. In that time, IMO, they have changed the game for the worse. the mian reason is they added cheats to make it more of a challenge for all the crybabies who said it was too easy. UGH!!!!. So last year I decided to quit it. Oh I had many friends on it that I miss, but I don't miss the game itself. Dare I say the name of that game? Sure why not? I'm sure some of you may know of it. It was/is called Wizard 101. K 'nuff about that junk. I then decided to play this game. I had heard of it and wanted to give it a shot. Well here I am having a blast enjoying a great game that I HOPE stays around a long time. Those of you who have helped me before to solve certain problems and play the game, to all of you I say MANY thanks. I'm sure I'll run into things that need a helping hand. I still haven't tried crafting yet, but eventually I might. In that other game I learned to craft pretty well but the way its done is a bit different. I never cared for PVP simply because the people who played that were arrogant, belligerent, obnoxious and thought they knew it all. Just spoiled kids really, so I stayed away from them. I enjoyed playing PVE way more. Doing quests/missions, leveling up, saving money to buy what my characters needed, etc. As for the people on THIS game, I haven't seen anyone act like those kids did. Maybe there are more adults on here like myself. Oh there are some who poke fun at others in chat and I have also from time to time, but its all in FUN. And that's what this game is to me, 100% FUN. Oh there have been a couple times when I got a bit frustrated because I couldn't beat an enemy the first couple of times. But I just slow down and think of a way then it works. And I can move on. I pride myself on 2 things: patience and understanding. At my age getting all angry and POed does me no good. I just stop and relax and think what I can do and do it. Many thanks for the suggestion. It was Alderaan that triggered it. Hope this also helps others that may need it. When you arrive at Alderaan Master Satele talks via holoterminal to you THEN it changes. Should be when you leave the Agressor but go figure. Obviously a bug of some kind.

I just finished the Oppressor mission and was then told to use my ship's holoterminal which I did. Then told to travel to Tython which I did also. BUT when I arrived I couldn't/can't see the Jedi Coincil as I know that's the next step. Seems I can't advance any further until that happens. Is this a bug or glitch? I am level 30 on my Jedi Sentinel character. Is there something I can type ingame I.e. /stuck when I am stuck or is this a game problem? Also has anyone else come across this and could not advance further in the story?

ok at the present time my command level is 22 so that puts me into tier 1. as for my combat skills, I like what I have and have done well with them up to this point. I also have the powers I need and they also have worked well for me. I will say this. I apologize for my earlier attitude about all this, but much of the game is still new to me and I'm learning as much as possible as I progress. I just got frustrated at not being able to move on in the storyline. I wished I had started playing this back when it first came out but I didn't. I was involved in another game that DOES use cheats to make the fights more of a challenge. Imo cheats and cheating and cheaters are scum. So when I finally gave it up, I found this game, (always liked Star Wars) and began playing it. I have played and still play a few older Star Wars games, and I am in a clan and am an admin on one of those. Still lots of FUN for me in my spare time. That's why I began playing this. I like Star Wars and enjoy having some fun with it. My fave Jedi is Qui-Gon Jinn. my fave Sith is Vader in the black outfit/costume. Just wanted to mention them. And as Sidious said in ROTS, all those who gain power are afraid to lose it. So I guess I need more power to continue ingame. lol

ok yea I have command crates but I didn't know exactly what to use them for or how. As for crafting, I have never tried it so I am lost there. The gear I have currently is the Outlander drops I get from enemy fights. That SHOULD be good enough or so I believed. Apparently they aren't. I have only played this game since June of '17 and I'm still learning what I can from my own experience and from reading posts online from various websites including this one. And I just recently joined a guild in this game. They have also tried helping me with advice. As for that fight? no I haven't quit it at all. I'll leave my character there for now and work on my other lower ones in the meantime. At least until I learn more how things work and apply them to him. ty all.

ok his class is Guardian with the single saber. Senya's influence is almost max. I have tried stims and other things. My gear is 212. I have never used tokens before. I feel this is a cheat fight against US the paying public. I am done with it and will find a way to remove this story from my game. I have other characters that need missions done anyway. I can't keep doing this and NOT moving on in the storyline. My patience with this has ended. I appreciate the offer to help but Idk how we both can be in there. Its not like a flashpoint mission. I have tried Senya on damage, tank and heal several times with no luck. Yesterday I almost had it beat, then I died anyway. wish I could have a couple more companions with me for fights like this. 'Nuff said.

ok I have good gear Jedi Knight class. I have read that having Senya as a healer works best. NOPE. I even tried tank and damage. NOPE. This is ridiculous. Tried many times to beat that stinking droid and still nothing. I want to end it and move on with the story but here I am stuck. They need to change this fight and eliminate ANY and all glitches that I have seen others mention. Its ridiculous as it is now. My health is over 80,000 and am level 70. This reminds me of a game I stopped playing because they use CHEATS in it to make it way more than challenging. Is this what happening in this fight and a few others? If so its not right. Way over powered health and powers they have makes it NOT fun but more like WORK. Really tired of this and its frustrating. And I thought I was gonna enjoy this game. Up to this point I have. Guess I'm stuck here until something changes for the better.

I found it was in Story mode. But it doesn't matter now. I deleted that character. Maybe some other time I'll try again. Ty for the help to all. One thing I did like was running into the companions from other characters along the way. But still doesn't explain what happened to HIS companions. Only vaguely.

yes I have sought solutions watching videos and trying to find ways to move on. His class is Jedi Knight (single saber) I have moderate influence with Senya Gemini always goes after Senya, but being thrown across the room every couple minutes and hung in the air like choking are what kills me. Also 4 of Gemini appears then Senya dies and I'm alone and don't last a couple more minutes. As for difficulty. Idk which mode its in. I was unaware there was a choice like in flashpoints. I didn't get an operators manual or strategy guide back when I started. loled I may just abandon it and work on my other characters missions. Not sure yet. It IS a good story and until this point I enjoyed it. But if I can't beat Gemini, I won't succeed against Arcann and Vaylin.

I don't mind a challenge in battles, but trying to beat that damn captain is STUPID! Over powered, throws us across the room, disappears, its insane. I give up with it. I looked up how to beat it but I got nothing helpful and I tried tank, heal and damage with my companion. I might beat it with more than one companion but we know THAT won't happen. I'll go back to my other characters and forget this crap. INSANITY!!!!!

ok nvm I found my own way out. The mission says to disable the 2 escape pods. I did that. Then after talking to the Chancellor you are supposed to escape in the remaining pod. There isn't one I could find. So I went back to the hangar and behind the ship you arrived on, click on the airlock door and you're in YOUR ship again. then go from there. The instructions where to go are messed up. DOH!!!!! DUH!!!

I had to disable 2 escape pods. after talking with the chancellor it says use escape pod to meet with the Tyrant ship. Where is the pod I need? I see nothing to use. please help? is this a game bug?

I have 10 characters and 4 of them have strongholds. I have never figured out how to place items in them. People say look for the hooks. WHAT HOOKS?? fish hooks? Christmas tree ornament hooks? or is that some slang internet game term for something else? No matter what I click on I see no hooks and can't place anything. So I guess I will sell or get rid of those strongholds I wasted money on. Imo it would be easier to click and drag items to place them. But I doubt that will happen. As for companions I have been wanting to change their outfits. Their clothes not their facial or hair appearances. I know how THAT works. You can buy them from vendors in various places. When I ask in game for help, I get vague answers that don't help me. Idk if crafting can change their gear appearance. If so then I guess I'd have to learn how crafting works. I was sure we could buy some outfits for them somewhere. Anyway, until I learn more how this game works, they will remain as they are. Isn't anything ever easy? It is for those who know how things work. Not people like me that have only been playing this for about 4 months now. Ty and take care.

sounds great to me. Ok how do I skip it and move on? I did try returning top my ship to see if that triggered anything but it didn't.

Ok I have soloed this flashpoint in story mode 3 times and still no ending cutscene and/or been given a new mission. There is nothing. I can't enter the room with the military head personnel for said scene so I can move on. Whats wrong and why won't it work for me. Have others had this same problem before? Its frustrating. As far as I know I did everything right to complete it. Even exited the mission after Malgus was killed and that switch was thrown. I want to move on in the game. This flashpoint should be optional NOT mandatory to do. I have never done others but I'm sure those are optional. Someone please help me with this. I have 3 other characters besides this one who need to do it, but I won't do those until I know what wrong. And I hope that not ALL the classes end up here having to do this same flashpoint. UGH!!!!
