Beating up Arcann as many times as possible, screwing with Lana and Co., and just having fun
  1. Hey, I'm frustrated too, that doesn't mean you need to act like a tool. You wanna be angry, make your own thread, don't bring that crap in here.
  2. I didn't see any other threads on the first few pages of the general forum, might just not have gone deep enough. Still, pretty sure I'm facing the same issues as anyone. Was just asking a question about whether I could run it as group, and now that it's been answered, I'm satisfied.
  3. So, query for all of you: for the solo-story quest you get for the endgame storyline... can I just like do a random group and do the veteran version and will it still count? because this is horribly broken and I cannot progress past it at all. I'm having to go on youtube to look at the latest little cutscene that debuted today in 6.2.1 because spirit of vengeance is just so horribly broken on solo. So, basically... can I just do the LFG veteran version? I'm willing to sacrifice the cutscenes if it means finally getting past this.
  4. This is the same thing I'm dealing with. I can't even run it right now bc my Jedi Shadow is a very squishy dps and rass has his thumb up his rear or something and isn't really healing me so I'm having to kill as quick as possible which is hard when you got like three or four 50Ks, a 200K or two, and a 300K all in the same pack of mobs. I literally cannot progress because I am not a tank or a healer and don't even get me started on those stealth detecting *****s. I feel like I'm being punished for choosing a stealth class here...
  5. alright so real talk, use it on your shadow. yeah, the consular line slogs at times, but if you're like me and stealth whenever possible, levelling gets a bit harder. case in point, I had an operative who was level 20 leaving nar shaddaa just doing the story quests because I stealth through everything. gunslinger just kills everything in path and doesn't have stealth and is thus easier to level up. I tend to use datacrons on my stealth toons specifically for that reason
  6. Edit: It seems the mobs I killed have respawned once more I am about to scream I've never had a game punish a stealth class for leaving mobs behind before. there has to be some way around this
  7. So, here I am, a wee Jedi shadow rolling around stealthing through everything with my boy Theron. I'm going to set the comms beacon, that's not too bad, I just stealthed past most of the mobs. After that, it's the war droids... which spawn right on top of a trio of mobs I left alone earlier, including an officer. so now I'm here dying repeatedly each and every single time bc apparently I'm suddenly squishy, Theron's heals are useless, and I'm down to a strong mob and two tanks. I can't seem to stun any of them for more than two seconds... never had an issue like this before is there any tips anyone can provide? I'm genuinely stuck and it's been a while since I've played a situation like this (like literal years I took a long break for most of the latter 5.0 and early 6.0 stuff). I'd like to not continue dying just to get one mob down.
  8. Cryptic also has IP memorization, which Bioware continues to not have. I like security, but there are times when it gets really, really annoying. I love this game, I'm a continual sub, but I don't always have my phone near me when I'm playing, so the app is somewhat moot. Or my phone could be providing the hotspot I need to play on my college wifi so opening that app will make everything run slower. Frankly, Bioware's system is inefficient, very much so. Google doesn't freak out nearly as much when I log into my email on a school computer to print something out. It sends me an email. Bioware has several ways to protect their systems, this method is not the best, just the most annoying and useless. If someone wanted to hack this website, generating a 6 figure code made up of capital letters and numbers would take a matter of minutes, maybe hours.
  9. In regards to my point about game hacks being almost nonexistent, this website: http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/worlds-biggest-data-breaches-hacks/ shows hacks affecting over 30K people. Only Sony can be considered an actually bad hack, but even then, the list of hacked companies stands at... 1.) Sony PSN at 77mil affected 2.) UbiSoft with an unspecified number (but confirmed no credit card info was stolen) 3.) RockYou! at 32mil 4.) Sony Online Entertainment at 24.6 mil 5.) Blizzard at 14 mil And three others with around or less than 1 mil affected. I feel like I'm having to write an essay here, but all that shows that game hacks are mostly irrelevant and thus the one-time password is useless and a waste of my LTE data. Thank you for reading and please don't let me get this bored again.
  10. I'm curious, could you provide stats on the amount of people negatively impacted by such hacks? I certainly can't, and I just tried to google it. I did, however, find that MMO hacks don't even make up 1% of all hacks in 2015-16. Cryptic has discovered a way to remember devices and IP addresses. Sites like Twitter/Tumblr/etc have ways to remember your information with only a security alert sent out. Why is it so hard to figure this all out? Cryptic is barely a full studio and Bioware is high-end, yet only one of them took the time to make life easier for their players. Almost makes me like Cryptic, and I hate them with a burning passion.
  11. I actually had this problem, I was without a phone for a weekend bc Best Buy screwed the pooch. Thankfully, I was too tired from work to play, but still. In fact, to check my forum subs just now, I had to put in a one-time password. I have to do so every single time it detects a new IP... which is total horses**t and needs to be fixed. Star Trek Online has a way to remember devices that you log in from, which is why it baffles me that Bioware hasn't figured that out yet. Bioware is a high-end studio, Cryptic is barely a studio. One of them managed to figure this out, the other hasn't. Why is it so hard to remember frequently used IP addresses or devices. The one-time password is antiquated and frankly, utterly pointless.
  12. My entire thing is that I don't want to have to input anymore codes. I want to turn the code feature off. I want to not have to glance at my phone every time I want to play the game.
  13. I've actually gotten both of those packs, but I didn't realize you could get them again. Will keep in mind for when it comes time to re-up... I only ever buy in game time chunks anyway, so those are perfect.
  14. usually launcher issues are an issue with the bitraider client, so check that and because I am by no means an expert, I suggest googling the issue for instructions on how to deal with the bitraider issues, I can't remember if there's been a recent thread in these forums or not
  15. And what, have to input yet another code every single time? There's a good reason I don't have it. I don't need to clutter my phone with it. What I do want is a way to turn this stupid setting off.
